Things did not work out well for her. She was paying just over £8,000 for four week's stay. Including extra care to help her dress and other essential things, regularly this did not happen. The TV and the Internet often were not working and it was very difficult to comunícate with her.

There was no phone available for at last five days, the emergency button did not work and she was gasping for breath, with no one to help her. I would consider that they are not organised at all and need a lot more attention paying to all sorts of things. I'm very happy to have got my mother out of there.

I am really very sorry that we did not meet your expectations during your mother’s stay with us. I hope you will agree that we were quick to respond to these issues once they were brought to our attention but this is not the standard of service that we would ordinarily expect to provide as you will...

It is unfortunate that we have only seen Falkland Grange during the pandemic and have not had free access. The management and staff are obviously keen for residents to treat Falkland Grange as their home and have welcomed contact with us. Residents are encouraged to keep their independence for as long as possible and engage with the social activities. Each of the residents are treated as an individual. Falkland Grange has a homely feel to it and we are pleased that dad is there.

Having heard great reviews of this home we didn't hesitate to admit my mother when she was discharged from the hospital. She needed nursing care due to a terminal illness. Her room was beautifully decorated and furnished and we hoped she would be happy there. Sadly she was in isolation for a large part of her stay which was short as she died two months later. The caring, catering, cleaning and general ancillary staff were wonderful and couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. However, the Management staff were not and our visits were restricted because they felt our mother was " getting better ". She died less than a week later! After her death, it was as though she had never been a resident. We received a sympathy card and not even a formal notification that her account was closed! Our Solicitor recently contacted them as her estate has gone to Probate and even this was not promptly answered! As a family, we feel it's too "corporate" and not caring enough.

Firstly, I would like to extend my thanks on behalf of my team, for the kind gifts you sent to us for caring for your mum - these were greatly appreciated. The level of care given to our mother is exceptional. The staff are extremely caring and respectful. The facilities, activities and food are outstanding, and the level of cleanliness is very high. Considering our mother's complex illness, everyone has been so welcoming and kind. Thank you Falkland for taking such great care of mum, we know how happy she is.

My mother was in a poor way, introverting and neglecting herself when she took up residence. Now she is much brighter, her nails and hair look good, and she is in much better spirits, taking part in group activities.

My parents became resident at the home in January 2020. The staff have been amazing, and comfort to my parents and family. All the staff from care and nursing, through to management, entertainment and catering have a very personable approach. We have had a difficult journey as a family, sadly losing my mum in April, the staff helped us through this very difficult time and continue to care for my dad. I have joined my dad for meals, and the food is very good. The rooms are kept well, and I have enjoyed time with my dad in the home's indoor and outdoor areas. As a family, we fell secure and comforted by the care and support provided by the team at Falkland.

The staff has been very professional during my phone calls and visits. They have also shown great empathy and understanding of the new resident and me during this very difficult time. The home itself is very well equipped and welcoming with a friendly calm atmosphere and is kept very clean. I have not seen the rooms (due to COVID-19) nor have any experience of the food and drink.

Wonderful caring and all-round lovely staff in every area! Nothing is ever too much! I was nervous about this process and how my grand dad was going to cope with the change as he has Alzheimer's, but the care was incredible and put us all at ease! Can't thank you enough.
