Loveday Kensington Reviews (18)
Loveday Kensington has a Review Score of 9.5 (9.471) out of 10, based on 13 reviews in the last 2 years.
Over all time Loveday Kensington has 18 reviews.
The entertainment is abysmal, the care is non-existent & the so called carers need reminding about everything, they're not busy they just don't give a damn. All I can say is come here as respite for a couple of weeks but go elsewhere for long term care.
At Loveday Kensington, we hold ourselves to consistently high standards across care, service and daily life, and it is disappointing to learn that this was not reflected in...
Thanks to all the team at Loveday Kensington for being so welcoming.
We loved having you stay with us recently for a holiday respite. It's wonderful to read how all elements of your stay were thoroughly enjoyed. We lead with excellent care but lifestyle, hospitality and events are all so important. We hope to see you again soon.
Nestled in a corner, and surrounded with inspirationally planted borders, Loveday Kensington is the most beautifully appointed care home imaginable. The staff and care are equally outstanding. My husband thinks he is living in a multi-starred hotel and it is with the greatest pleasure that I visit and frequently stay to enjoy lunch or dinner with him, and the afternoon recitals given by young musicians and singers. If the time comes when I too need looking after, I can only hope that I also may move in.
Thank you for your kind words. It's a real pleasure not only support your husband but to have you visit each day aswell. We are delighted to hear how happy you are with the support we provide including our events.
We used Loveday Kensington for our dad for some temporary care, and it has worked out great. The staff were great from the start making sure his care needs were well understood. He is a very happy there and is getting involed with all the numerous recreational activities. He has never looked so well kept. The place is great, top quality, well designed with plenty of communual spaces. The food and dinning service is more like a restaurant with attentive waiters. Lots of different family members and friends have been to visit Dad and they are all well impressed in how well Dad looks as well as how his care and medical needs are dealt with. The Membership Manager and the staff keep the family well up to date on our Dad and the communication is supper. Thanks to all the team at Loveday for making dad's introduction to proffesional care such a success.
It has been our pleasure to get to know Dad and support him with a holiday respite stay, we are delighted he would like to stay longer. Thank you, for recognising how exceptional our dining offering is as well as our communication. We look forward to seeing you soon on your next visit.
Every member of staff at Loveday Kensington whom I have interacted with has been wonderful, not only in carrying out their tasks, but in their care, concern and kindliness. The home is beautifully run, and has the cleanliness and quiet efficiency of a top-rate hotel. My sister has improved greatly since she came out of hospital, in part because the food at Loveday is of a high standard, tasty and nutritious. She is really well looked after physically and psychologically. They do an impressive job at Loveday Kensington.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It's a real pleasure to support your sister, she is a wonderful Member whom we are are lucky to have spending time with us at Loveday Kensington, all of the team have enjoyed supporting her in getting stronger and through her recovery. Your kind words will be shared with the wider team.
The staff at Loveday Kensington were exceptionally helpful from the start. It was a rush as my mother was to be discharged from hospital just before Christmas. This did not phase the staff at all. They all sprang into action and went above and beyond. My mother became a resident on Christmas Eve and has been happy ever since. Activities are numerous, with residents encouraged to attend. The place is pristine, well laid out and open plan which means the residents are never isolated or lonely. The food is outstanding and the dining room service redolent of a restaurant, with attentive waiters. For those visiting, every attention is paid, with welcoming cups of tea/coffee/anything else to greet one, together with a selection of snacks and pastries. The residents look well-kept and clean and cared for. Medical care is impressive. One can bring in small items of furniture to make the pleasant rooms even more comfortable. One can visit at any time. Communication with the family is excellent.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review, it really has been our pleasure to help and have your mother join us at Loveday Kensington. We know how much of a stressful time it was just before Christmas, and we are delighted that we could help and make things a little easier. It's great to see...
My 83 year old mum was recovering from surgery. I was her primary caregiver. I had to travel for 2 weeks and I am glad I chose Loveday Kensington. She felt like she had gone on a spa holiday. A place where all her needs were attended to with a lot of recreational activities to keep her active. Thank you so much to everyone.

Extremely welcoming care-staff who go to extraordinary lengths to make sure that you are comfortable.
Very accommodating kitchen staff who cook extremely enjoyable food.
Cleaning staff are conscientious.
Most of all the lengths that every member of the staff go to establish a personal relationship with you. I like the first name contact practice.
The activities, both at the home and in theatres, are really well thought out.

Thank you for the wonderful care my 93-year-old father received after his stay in hospital for a broken leg. Loveday is efficiently run and the staff are professional and caring. Physio staff were expert and compassionate and put him on the road to mobility in preparation for coming home. Highly recommended.
Dear Family member, thank you for your lovely feedback and kind words about the care provided for your father. Your compliment will be shared with our dedicated team and especially the physio team that assisted your loved one during his recovery stay at Loveday Kensington. Before placing our loved one who was suffering from early-stage dementia into a care home, we visited many providers in and around the greater London area. Once we found Loveday, our search was over. There is simply no comparison to the quality of facilities and care that they have to offer. Our family member spent 4 years in Loveday's care, and we could not be more impressed and thankful for the treatment he received. The food is excellent, the facilities are top-notch, and the staff are all very kind and professional. They seem to have very low turnover with their staff, which is wonderful for the residents to have long-term consistency with their caretakers. We received regular updates from the staff, and they were also very accommodating to assist us with having video calls at any hour of the day or night, which was very comforting for us. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Loveday's services. Your loved one will be very well cared for here.
Thank you for the lovely feedback. Your kind words and compliments about the care and service provided will be shared with our dedicated team at Loveday Kensington. We are truly honoured to have had the opportunity to look after your loved one.
Through our wonderful experience with Loveday Kensington for the past 5 months, we have found all the staff, we have met are very kind, friendly, caring and attentive to each resident, member and their family. I would say that becoming a member of The Day Club is a great way to get to know Loveday better and explore their several care services for a long-term period. I am now planning to use their short stay service for my husband sometime soon.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review, it's our pleasure to support you both.
It was therapeutic and very pleasant to be at Loveday the ambience and the staff care along with good food was much appreciated. My only problem was everyone went to bed early and I was left alone with the television. With best wishes to everyone.
Thank you for your kind words, we really enjoyed having you stay with us.
With good reason Loveday is considered the crème de la crème of care homes. It is a very luxurious space with gorgeous rooms, entertainment (a particular member of staff is a gem!) and delicious food. More than that it is a very happy place with the most kind and caring staff who have a genuine rapport with the residents and family members. My 95-year-old mother has been there for over 18 months and I could not imagine her anywhere else. My brother and I drop in at various times of the day and evening and have always felt welcome. She is happy there and I go to sleep soundly at night knowing that she is being treated with kindness, respect and love.
Thank you so much for your kind words, it really is our pleasure to support your mother. We will ensure your feedback is shared with the whole team at Loveday Kensington Square.
Excellent food and kind and caring staff.
My husband stayed for 3 nights after an operation and it provided a lot of peace of mind.
Nothing was too much trouble, physio and podiatry were also arranged at short notice. Equally great service from these people.
It was our pleasure to help, thank you for your kind words and feedback.
As a patient recovering from an operation the care and physio support were very good indeed.
An area to be improved is rooms to be designed with the type of patient in mind.
Nursing was first rate and food quality was adequate.
It was a pleasure to support your recovery post surgery. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
I feel very fortunate to have found Loveday - I stayed with the team for care after surgery and I couldn't have asked for more. The team was polite and friendly, with amazing food and very tastefully decorated spaces. What I particularly liked was the transparency of care, while I was there for post-surgery care I was so impressed with the level of care other residents received. I wish there were facilities like this in Ireland.
It was our pleasure to support your recovery post-surgery. Thank you for your kind words.
The care at Loveday exceeded very high expectations. It is expensive and beautifully presented, but the care provided lived up to and exceeded what I could have hoped for. My wife entered the facility bedridden with a prognosis of continuing so for the rest of her life. By the time she left, she was walking with minimal help and doing her physio exercises and she was sitting in her chair all day. But most of all, her mental attitude changed form defeated and hopeless to determined and hopeful. It provided a really sound platform for her continued rehabilitation at home. These may sound like baby steps, but compared to the prognosis when she left hospital (after five months) they are great strides. To misquote: one small step, but a great leap for my wife.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review, it was our pleasure to support your wife with her recovery to safely return home.
