I stayed at the Loveday Esher 1150 Club for 5 days following my total knee replacement at RNOH. The accommodation was excellent in beautiful grounds. The nurses and staff were attentive, friendly and professional - always going out of their way to help. The physiotherapy was very helpful and the equipment
of the first order, including a hydrotherapy treadmill. Oh - and the food was excellent - either in your room or the restaurant. I would strongly recommend the 1150 Club for post-operative support

My father who suffered from Alzheimer's and other issues was resident for about a year at Loveday Abbey Road. My mother and I are hugely grateful for the fantastic care he received. The outstanding feature of Loveday Abbey Road is the people who work there. Everyone was extremely welcoming and very
caring. My father was very well looked after with a kindness and human touch often missing elsewhere. The management, the nurses, the carers and indeed all other support staff make a real effort to get to know the residents, and their families, and to make what is a difficult time as good as it can be. They are interested in the individual and their needs, and look to make visiting family members welcome. The carers and nurses are well trained, pay attention to detail, proactive, dedicated, patient and focused. Their professional approach, obvious skill and real humanity was a great comfort. In short fabulous modern facilities with an exception team.
Reply from Lisa Nichols, Relationship Partner at Loveday Abbey RoadThank you so much for your wonderful review.

I cannot emphasize enough that without the exceptional care and close attention to medical detail I received, my recovery would have been significantly longer and potentially complicated unnecessarily.
Medication management, daily injections to prevent blood clots, and careful monitoring of vital signs
to assess changes in health status and detect potential medical issues were all handled seamlessly. This gave me complete confidence that I was receiving the highest standard of care.
My post-surgery recovery from major surgery was not straightforward. Without medical knowledge, it would have been very difficult, if not impossible to return directly home from hospital and manage catheter care, fluid intake, and overall recovery with no prior experience. The professional nursing staff were instrumental in identifying an early infection, which was successfully treated within 24 hours. Without their expertise, I would almost certainly have needed to attend A&E at the Royal Surrey.

My friend often stays at loveday Abby road. When we first visited many of the staff came outside to greet us. They are all very friendly and professional. Nothing is too much. I felt very happy to leave my friend in their care.
The holidays my friend has there are always successful. The food is delicious
and the garden very beautiful. The home is bright and cheerful and very clean. The general atmosphere is very happy and positive. We are very grateful for all of it. It helps my friend remain independent in a dignified way. She enjoys trips out to places of her choice. It helps her have a rest and myself also. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. The manager is very friendly and helpful and all the staff should feel very proud.
Reply from Lisa Nichols, Relationship Partner at Loveday Abbey RoadThank you very much for your kind and positive review.
We are delighted to hear that you and your friend felt so warmly welcomed and that our team helped you feel confident leaving her in our care. It's lovely to know she enjoys her regular stays with us - and we love having her.

My husband, who has Alzheimer's disease has been a resident at Loveday Abbey Road for over 2 years now and I am absolutely delighted with the quality of the care he receives and the beautiful environment he lives in. I actually feel very lucky I found this care home for him. It is on a small scale and
it feels more like a private home, which is very nicely decorated and well appointed with all kinds of modern features. Most importantly the quality of the care my husband receives at Loveday is of a very high standard. Carers and nurses are very well trained in understanding Dementia and caring for the residents with the disease. The staff is very caring, they show a lot of respect, attention and even affection to my husband. In every aspect Loveday is creating an experience as close to the resident's own home experience as possible. That is very valuable. When I go home I have full confidence that my husband is very well looked after. I can be at peace. That's the best part of it all
Reply from Lisa Nichols, Relationship Partner at Loveday Abbey RoadThank you so much for your beautiful words. It truly means the world to us. My wife entered Loveday at a time when it had become apparent that she had only a short time remaining. Her care needs were such that her welfare and dignity depended on the professionalism and kindness of her carers, and we gave much anxious thought to where she would be best looked after. We opted
for Loveday as we had received several recommendations praising the care offered. From our first contact, through the assessment process, the admission and my wife's stay there, my wife and our family were treated with an exceptional level of kindness, understanding and compassion. The infrastructure and facilities are more like a 5* hotel than a care home and are far ahead of any other care home that I have seen (and I have seen many over the years), but it was not these that stood out for us. Rather, it was the professionalism and empathy of the staff and the level of care that they provided ,which were truly outstanding. We could not have hoped for better. Thank you Team Loveday !

I am 95 years old and my daughter, who is my primary carer, had to go away for a few days. So, knowing that I would be well looked after, I recently had an excellent fortnight's respite in Loveday Kensington, where we knew that the accommodation was first class. The care was all one could wish for.
The entertainment and activities provided were stimulating, especially the quizzes, and chair yoga, under the watchful eye of the responsible carers was highly beneficial. The varied and delicious food was equal to the top hotels, as was the service, and the general atmosphere was friendly and relaxing, without being patronising.
Thanks to all the team at Loveday Kensington for being so welcoming.

Our Mother first enjoyed Loveday post her hip replacement last summer, spending much time socialising in the Gardens with friends & family or dining 5* in the restaurant. Rehab, physio, personal nursing care all beyond.
Sadly, a year plus later, Mum succumbed to cancer and required 24/7 palliative
care. It was a no-brainer! Loveday! They arranged all the transport, a suitable room with a visitor sitting/ coffee area for us, Mum's two familiar & much loved nurses were again caring for her (and us!). She was always kept immaculate - clean, quoiffed & comfortable. It became our "home from home".
Even after the eventful early hours call, Loveday treated Mum & us with respect & dignity and helped / advised with the next steps arrangements.
Note: Loveday is affiliated with the St John & St Elisabeth hospice and they too were amazing, their specialist nurse visiting with compassion & common sense.
Loveday: We LOVE you all. With huge gratitude forever xxxx
Reply from Lisa Nichols, Relationship Partner at Loveday Abbey RoadThank you for taking the time to share such a moving and thoughtful review. We are deeply honored that your mother was part of the Loveday community during both her recovery and later, her palliative care journey.

A wonderful discovery to find this type of post operative care existed in the UK. The initial welcome was very friendly and professional. The facilities are akin to a 5 star hotel, and the care and support have been exceptional. The medical recording was thorough and in the room facilities are very

From day 1, the crew at Loveday Esher have been the most caring, accommodating and simply delightful bunch - never without a smile. Our Dad, who suffers from dementia, who has had somewhat disorientating and mildly distressing experiences in the past, was able to settle quickly into the beautiful surrounds
and fantastically varied classes and activities on offer, all largely thanks to the amazing staff who really do make Loveday a very special place - one my brothers and I look forward to visiting as often as we're able. I couldn't recommend Loveday Esher more highly to anyone looking for a great set up, managed by a loving, highly experienced and caring crew.

When unfortunately we had a look for a rehab/care-home for my 90-year-old mother following her heart procedures, I can only say how lucky to find Loveday Esher! The home itself is so very impressive, and you can see that no expense has bean spared in creating a top-level environment for the residents,
from the standard of the catering, the grounds, cleanliness of the home, everything is top draw!! Add to that an impressive list of varied activities and entertainment, which change weekly, and we really found a gem of a place for my mum!!!!
However, I have yet to mention the best asset of the home, above everything else the most impressive thing about Loveday Esher, without any doubt is the quality of the staff!!!! Every single one there has one goal, to give the residents the best care they possible can! A ridiculous elevated level of professionalism runs through every single employee there. A special mention about the carers, they go far and above to make my mother happy, THANK YOU!!!
Reply from Georgie Wilkins, Relationship Partner at Loveday EsherDear Kevin,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a kind review. It really does mean a lot to all of us here at Loveday Esher.
It's been a pleasure supporting your mum following her heart procedures, and we're so pleased to see her continuing to make good progress. She's settled in well and it's lovely to see her taking part in some of the activities and engaging with life at the home.
Your comments about the team are greatly appreciated. Everyone works hard to provide the very best care and support, and knowing that it's making a difference to your mum and your family means a great deal. We'll be sure to share your message with the whole team.
Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback. We feel privileged to be caring for your mum and will continue to do everything we can to ensure she feels comfortable and well looked after during her stay.

Loveday has provided a superb environment for my husband to recover from a traumatic brain injury. The building is very user friendly and well thought out; everything works and there is an attractive garden with seating and paths for easy walking. But the jewel in the crown is the team. All
the staff are warm, and attentive without ever being intrusive. They know exactly what they are doing. I have felt totally at peace leaving him in the care of such people and he has recovered extremely well. He has also benefitted enormously from the excellent physiotherapy arranged for him and the nourishing and appetising food the chef consistently turns out.

At first the transition from 24 hour care at home to Loveday was quite traumatic for my husband and I initially feared he would not settle. But gradually, with the warm and loving support of each and every member of staff, he adapted to the new rhythms of life. The constant good humour and endless
patience of the expertly trained carers never cease to amaze me. I am also most impressed with the quality and variety of events and entertainment available to residents and their visitors. I can spend a lovely afternoon listening to a very talented musician having had a superb lunch with my husband. All in all, I believe it is the best possible 'home from home' for a loved one and I give daily gratitude to Loveday.

The premises themselves were extremely clean, light and airy. The food was delicious for guests and the residents alike. My mother was on category 6 food so it was great to have the chef to be so accommodating and igneous within the limited scope of what my mother could eat. The staff couldn't be more
attentive or caring, it was a huge relief to be able to leave her n such good hands. It was exactly what my mother needed to recover from surgery.

Loveday Esher

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I found Love Day locally (driving past one day) and explored its wonderful decor before it opened and then checked my 83 yr old Dad in for a few weeks of short term respite care whilst I was myself overseas on holidays with my own family.
I could not have been happier with the service he enjoyed, and
everyone who visited him whilst he was there and I was away said how happy, young and energised he seemed to be from his change of scene.
Food sounds to have been fantastic and the care and attention of the staff surpassed my expectations - they even accompanied him to his GP for a routine appointment.
Dad made friends while he stayed at Love Day and even (to my great surprise) attended (and lived) Pilates classes and even a Ti Stan sound bath which he found a novel experience and very relaxing.
The tensely has been furnished in impeccable, luxury taste and looks more like a 6 star hotel than a care home. Lovely gardens too, and even a children's play area for my 4 year old niece.
Reply from Georgie Wilkins, Relationship Partner at Loveday EsherThank you so much for your lovely review. It was an absolute pleasure looking after your dad while you were away. He settled in beautifully and brought such a warm and positive energy to the residence. We weren't at all surprised that he quickly made friends and got involved in activities like Pilates and the sound bath, which he genuinely seemed to enjoy! Hearing how much brighter and more energised he felt during his stay is exactly the outcome we strive for every Member. We're so pleased that you felt confident leaving Dad in our care, We do our very best to make Loveday feel like a home from home, offering the best in care, hospitality and making every Member feel special. We're also absolutely delighted that your dad has joined our Private Members Day Club. It's a real joy to see him regularly and he is also keen to return for future respite holiday stays.
