After an unexpected, sudden fall and breaking her femur, our mother needed an extensive operation in hospital. Once the operation was complete and when she needed to be discharged, we organised for her to stay at Loveday Esher, for daily care and recovery. What a superb place !
Our mother immediately
felt assured and that she was in the best place possible, for her recovery.
Every single member of their staff were so kind, attentive, very caring and knowledgable. We genuinely couldn't fault anything about her fantastic stay there.
Since leaving and now back at home, she has become a day member at Loveday in view to visiting regularly, joining in with their extensive, social activities and to keep in touch with many friends she has made there.
I would highly recommend Loveday Esher to everyone.
Reply from Jackie Chicken, Relationship Partner at Loveday EsherThank you so much for your kind words, our team really appreciate you taking the time to write your review. Your mum was an absolute delight during her stay with us and we missed her very much when she returned home. Becoming a day member means she can visit us regularly and catch up with the friends she made here, which is so lovely.

I was so impressed and moved by the standard of love and care shown , that I wrote a poem and it says it all. Loveday, the place to stay, Way way above the everyday. Healing limbs and broken parts, All gently soothed along the path of life's recovery. Each and every entity, skilled
in their capacity, There to help assist and guide along the path so broad and wide The road back to reality. Love and care is everywhere, Warmth and comfort all to share. Lots of fun and pleasure too, Entertainment, lots to do, All along the path of life's recovery. Th Gym or swim to keep you trim. And ease the pain away. A hand to hold , a tale retold, No gush, no rush to help along the path of life's recovery. To wine and dine, with food refined, Adorned with floral skill.
Surrounded by the sculptured grounds and rosemary and dill. And evermore, just at the core, the care and
love along the path of life's recovery.
Reply from Jackie Chicken, Relationship Partner at Loveday EsherThank you so much for taking the time to leave a review and for sharing your beautiful poem with the wider community! My Mum received first class care and support from all of the incredible team at Loveday during a 5 week post surgery respite stay. From start to finish the whole experience was flawless. The environment, atmosphere and staff are what made the stay special and was made to feel part of the family. Mum
did not want to leave by the end of her stay! I cannot recommend Loveday Abbey road enough and there are very few if any that offer this level of high standards. They are very much in a league of their own!
Reply from Lisa Nichols, Relationship Partner at Loveday Abbey RoadThank you so much for your incredibly kind words. Five weeks in, and my dad is a changed man. From the moment he moved into Loveday it was clear we had made the right call, he's happier, healthier, and looking forward to every day. Loveday doesn't just feel like a care home, it feels like a home. Beautiful rooms and interiors, exquisite grounds,
and an atmosphere that's always warm rather than institutional. Dad can't stop talking about the food, he is genuinely excited about the regular concerts and keep-fit sessions - he has got a life again. What sets Loveday apart is the quality of care. The nursing and care staff are exceptional; attentive, compassionate, and brilliant at reading what Dad needs, even on the harder days. Nothing is generic. Everything is tailored to him as an individual, I can't recommend Loveday enough. The regular email and phone updates mean I always know how he is doing. That piece of mind is genuinely priceless and visiting him is always a pleasure.
Reply from Jackie Chicken, Relationship Partner at Loveday EsherThank you so much for writing such a detailed, warm and heart-felt review, we will share it with the whole team at Loveday Esher and I am sure it will brighten everyone's day! Your dad has settled in so wonderfully, we very much enjoy his stories and his enthusiasm for the people he meets and experiences he enjoys. Thank you for trusting us with caring for your dad.

We used Loveday Kensington for our dad for care, and it has worked out great. This month we moved dad to Loveday Esher the staff were great and the move was very smooth his care needs were well understood. He is a very happy there enjoying the lovely grounds.
The place is great, top quality, well
designed with plenty of communual spaces, dining rooms, large outside terraces, bar area. The food and dinning service is more like a restaurant with attentive waiters.
Dad looks well as his care and medical needs are dealt with. Thanks to Janice and the staff for arranging the move at short notice and keeping the family up to date on our Dad.
Reply from Jackie Chicken, Relationship Partner at Loveday EsherThank you so much for taking the time to leave such a warm and detailed review, it is much appreciated. There is nothing bad to say about the Esher location and I am convinced they will continue to prosper.

This is a very poor care facility which seems very confused about itself. 'Careless' as another inmate described it.
The entertainment is abysmal, the care is non-existent & the so called carers need reminding about everything, they're not busy they just don't give a damn. All I can say is come here
as respite for a couple of weeks but go elsewhere for long term care.
Reply from Charlotte Fletcher, Marketing Manager at Loveday KensingtonThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to read that your experience did not meet expectations.
At Loveday Kensington, we hold ourselves to consistently high standards across care, service and daily life, and it is disappointing to learn that this was not reflected in your stay. Feedback of this nature is taken seriously and is reviewed in detail by our leadership team to ensure all concerns are fully understood and addressed.

Thank you to the team who took care of my father during his stay, they were very attentive to his needs, made him feel comfortable and part of the group. His mental and physical health improved whilst he was there which is a sign of the supportive care he received, the activities organised and the positive
environment in the home. The staff are responsive and helpful. The property is light, clean and warm. My father appreciated the tasty, varied and healthy food. he also enjoyed the interesting and varied activities.

My friend spent 2 weeks in Loveday Abbey Road for respite care following a hospital visit. From the 'get-'go' it was clear that she would enjoy her stay. Her needs were attended to in a professional and compassionate manner. All of the staff made her feel right at home and settled immediately. My friend
loved the food especially the daily afternoon tea. During her stay she even got her hair cut in the salon. This is well run and luxurious care home and she looked forward to future stays it required.

I stayed at the Loveday Esher 1150 Club for 5 days following my total knee replacement at RNOH. The accommodation was excellent in beautiful grounds. The nurses and staff were attentive, friendly and professional - always going out of their way to help. The physiotherapy was very helpful and the equipment
of the first order, including a hydrotherapy treadmill. Oh - and the food was excellent - either in your room or the restaurant. I would strongly recommend the 1150 Club for post-operative support

My father who suffered from Alzheimer's and other issues was resident for about a year at Loveday Abbey Road. My mother and I are hugely grateful for the fantastic care he received. The outstanding feature of Loveday Abbey Road is the people who work there. Everyone was extremely welcoming and very
caring. My father was very well looked after with a kindness and human touch often missing elsewhere. The management, the nurses, the carers and indeed all other support staff make a real effort to get to know the residents, and their families, and to make what is a difficult time as good as it can be. They are interested in the individual and their needs, and look to make visiting family members welcome. The carers and nurses are well trained, pay attention to detail, proactive, dedicated, patient and focused. Their professional approach, obvious skill and real humanity was a great comfort. In short fabulous modern facilities with an exception team.

I cannot emphasize enough that without the exceptional care and close attention to medical detail I received, my recovery would have been significantly longer and potentially complicated unnecessarily.
Medication management, daily injections to prevent blood clots, and careful monitoring of vital signs
to assess changes in health status and detect potential medical issues were all handled seamlessly. This gave me complete confidence that I was receiving the highest standard of care.
My post-surgery recovery from major surgery was not straightforward. Without medical knowledge, it would have been very difficult, if not impossible to return directly home from hospital and manage catheter care, fluid intake, and overall recovery with no prior experience. The professional nursing staff were instrumental in identifying an early infection, which was successfully treated within 24 hours. Without their expertise, I would almost certainly have needed to attend A&E at the Royal Surrey.

My friend often stays at loveday Abby road. When we first visited many of the staff came outside to greet us. They are all very friendly and professional. Nothing is too much. I felt very happy to leave my friend in their care.
The holidays my friend has there are always successful. The food is delicious
and the garden very beautiful. The home is bright and cheerful and very clean. The general atmosphere is very happy and positive. We are very grateful for all of it. It helps my friend remain independent in a dignified way. She enjoys trips out to places of her choice. It helps her have a rest and myself also. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. The manager is very friendly and helpful and all the staff should feel very proud.

My husband, who has Alzheimer's disease has been a resident at Loveday Abbey Road for over 2 years now and I am absolutely delighted with the quality of the care he receives and the beautiful environment he lives in. I actually feel very lucky I found this care home for him. It is on a small scale and
it feels more like a private home, which is very nicely decorated and well appointed with all kinds of modern features. Most importantly the quality of the care my husband receives at Loveday is of a very high standard. Carers and nurses are very well trained in understanding Dementia and caring for the residents with the disease. The staff is very caring, they show a lot of respect, attention and even affection to my husband. In every aspect Loveday is creating an experience as close to the resident's own home experience as possible. That is very valuable. When I go home I have full confidence that my husband is very well looked after. I can be at peace. That's the best part of it all

My wife entered Loveday at a time when it had become apparent that she had only a short time remaining. Her care needs were such that her welfare and dignity depended on the professionalism and kindness of her carers, and we gave much anxious thought to where she would be best looked after. We opted
for Loveday as we had received several recommendations praising the care offered. From our first contact, through the assessment process, the admission and my wife's stay there, my wife and our family were treated with an exceptional level of kindness, understanding and compassion. The infrastructure and facilities are more like a 5* hotel than a care home and are far ahead of any other care home that I have seen (and I have seen many over the years), but it was not these that stood out for us. Rather, it was the professionalism and empathy of the staff and the level of care that they provided ,which were truly outstanding. We could not have hoped for better. Thank you Team Loveday !

I am 95 years old and my daughter, who is my primary carer, had to go away for a few days. So, knowing that I would be well looked after, I recently had an excellent fortnight's respite in Loveday Kensington, where we knew that the accommodation was first class. The care was all one could wish for.
The entertainment and activities provided were stimulating, especially the quizzes, and chair yoga, under the watchful eye of the responsible carers was highly beneficial. The varied and delicious food was equal to the top hotels, as was the service, and the general atmosphere was friendly and relaxing, without being patronising.
Thanks to all the team at Loveday Kensington for being so welcoming.

Our Mother first enjoyed Loveday post her hip replacement last summer, spending much time socialising in the Gardens with friends & family or dining 5* in the restaurant. Rehab, physio, personal nursing care all beyond.
Sadly, a year plus later, Mum succumbed to cancer and required 24/7 palliative
care. It was a no-brainer! Loveday! They arranged all the transport, a suitable room with a visitor sitting/ coffee area for us, Mum's two familiar & much loved nurses were again caring for her (and us!). She was always kept immaculate - clean, quoiffed & comfortable. It became our "home from home".
Even after the eventful early hours call, Loveday treated Mum & us with respect & dignity and helped / advised with the next steps arrangements.
Note: Loveday is affiliated with the St John & St Elisabeth hospice and they too were amazing, their specialist nurse visiting with compassion & common sense.
Loveday: We LOVE you all. With huge gratitude forever xxxx
