I feel lucky to have such a facility near to my home and I visit daily, although I know there are many residents from far further away.
I am always welcomed on arrival, nothing is too much trouble.
My Mum received first class care and support from all of the incredible team at Loveday during a 5 week post surgery respite stay. From start to finish the whole experience was flawless. The environment, atmosphere and staff are what made the stay special and was made to feel part of the family. Mum did not want to leave by the end of her stay! I cannot recommend Loveday Abbey road enough and there are very few if any that offer this level of high standards. They are very much in a league of their own!
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words. It was an absolute pleasure to support your Mum during her stay with us, and we are so pleased she felt part of the Loveday Abbey Road family. We miss her bright presence around the home, and she will always be welcomed back with open arms. Thank you again for your recommendation and trust in our team.
My friend spent 2 weeks in Loveday Abbey Road for respite care following a hospital visit. From the 'get-'go' it was clear that she would enjoy her stay. Her needs were attended to in a professional and compassionate manner. All of the staff made her feel right at home and settled immediately. My friend loved the food especially the daily afternoon tea. During her stay she even got her hair cut in the salon. This is well run and luxurious care home and she looked forward to future stays it required.
Your kind words are hugely appreciated and we look forward to welcoming her back again in the future.
My father who suffered from Alzheimer's and other issues was resident for about a year at Loveday Abbey Road. My mother and I are hugely grateful for the fantastic care he received. The outstanding feature of Loveday Abbey Road is the people who work there. Everyone was extremely welcoming and very caring. My father was very well looked after with a kindness and human touch often missing elsewhere. The management, the nurses, the carers and indeed all other support staff make a real effort to get to know the residents, and their families, and to make what is a difficult time as good as it can be. They are interested in the individual and their needs, and look to make visiting family members welcome. The carers and nurses are well trained, pay attention to detail, proactive, dedicated, patient and focused. Their professional approach, obvious skill and real humanity was a great comfort. In short fabulous modern facilities with an exception team.
We are truly honoured that you entrusted us with your father's care. It means a great deal to know that you and your mother felt supported and comforted during such a difficult time.

The holidays my friend has there are always successful. The food is delicious and the garden very beautiful. The home is bright and cheerful and very clean. The general atmosphere is very happy and positive. We are very grateful for all of it. It helps my friend remain independent in a dignified way. She enjoys trips out to places of her choice. It helps her have a rest and myself also. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. The manager is very friendly and helpful and all the staff should feel very proud.
We are delighted to hear that you and your friend felt so warmly welcomed and that our team helped you feel confident leaving her in our care. It's lovely to know she enjoys her regular stays with us - and we love having her.

My husband, who has Alzheimer's disease has been a resident at Loveday Abbey Road for over 2 years now and I am absolutely delighted with the quality of the care he receives and the beautiful environment he lives in. I actually feel very lucky I found this care home for him. It is on a small scale and it feels more like a private home, which is very nicely decorated and well appointed with all kinds of modern features. Most importantly the quality of the care my husband receives at Loveday is of a very high standard. Carers and nurses are very well trained in understanding Dementia and caring for the residents with the disease. The staff is very caring, they show a lot of respect, attention and even affection to my husband. In every aspect Loveday is creating an experience as close to the resident's own home experience as possible. That is very valuable. When I go home I have full confidence that my husband is very well looked after. I can be at peace. That's the best part of it all
Thank you so much for your beautiful words. It truly means the world to us. We feel incredibly privileged to care for your husband and to have you both as such a valued part of our Loveday Abbey Road family. Seeing you is always a pleasure, and your trust and support mean more than we can say. Thank you for being part of our community - it really wouldn't be the same without you.
My wife entered Loveday at a time when it had become apparent that she had only a short time remaining. Her care needs were such that her welfare and dignity depended on the professionalism and kindness of her carers, and we gave much anxious thought to where she would be best looked after. We opted for Loveday as we had received several recommendations praising the care offered. From our first contact, through the assessment process, the admission and my wife's stay there, my wife and our family were treated with an exceptional level of kindness, understanding and compassion. The infrastructure and facilities are more like a 5* hotel than a care home and are far ahead of any other care home that I have seen (and I have seen many over the years), but it was not these that stood out for us. Rather, it was the professionalism and empathy of the staff and the level of care that they provided ,which were truly outstanding. We could not have hoped for better. Thank you Team Loveday !
Thank you for your kind and heartfelt review. We were honoured to care for your wife and to support your family at such an important and difficult time. While we are proud of our facilities, it is especially meaningful to know that the compassion, professionalism and dignity shown by our team made...
The management and staff are most attentive and professional.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are delighted to hear that your husband received first-class service and enjoyed his time at Loveday Abbey Road. Our team takes great pride in providing attentive and professional care, so your feedback truly means a lot to us. We very much miss seeing him, he was always such a joy to be around.
Sadly, a year plus later, Mum succumbed to cancer and required 24/7 palliative care. It was a no-brainer! Loveday! They arranged all the transport, a suitable room with a visitor sitting/ coffee area for us, Mum's two familiar & much loved nurses were again caring for her (and us!). She was always kept immaculate - clean, quoiffed & comfortable. It became our "home from home".
Even after the eventful early hours call, Loveday treated Mum & us with respect & dignity and helped / advised with the next steps arrangements.
Note: Loveday is affiliated with the St John & St Elisabeth hospice and they too were amazing, their specialist nurse visiting with compassion & common sense.
Loveday: We LOVE you all. With huge gratitude forever xxxx
Creating a true home from home, not only for our Members but also for their...
Loveday has provided a superb environment for my husband to recover from a traumatic brain injury. The building is very user friendly and well thought out; everything works and there is an attractive garden with seating and paths for easy walking. But the jewel in the crown is the team. All the staff are warm, and attentive without ever being intrusive. They know exactly what they are doing. I have felt totally at peace leaving him in the care of such people and he has recovered extremely well. He has also benefitted enormously from the excellent physiotherapy arranged for him and the nourishing and appetising food the chef consistently turns out.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are truly delighted to hear that your husband has thrived in our care and that our environment, team, and services have contributed to his recovery. Our team take great pride in providing attentive, compassionate care, and it is wonderful to know that this...
At first the transition from 24 hour care at home to Loveday was quite traumatic for my husband and I initially feared he would not settle. But gradually, with the warm and loving support of each and every member of staff, he adapted to the new rhythms of life. The constant good humour and endless patience of the expertly trained carers never cease to amaze me. I am also most impressed with the quality and variety of events and entertainment available to residents and their visitors. I can spend a lovely afternoon listening to a very talented musician having had a superb lunch with my husband. All in all, I believe it is the best possible 'home from home' for a loved one and I give daily gratitude to Loveday.
Thank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt review. We know what a big step the transition was for you both, and we are truly moved to hear how, with time and care, it has become a positive journey. It means so much to us that you feel at home here and that you can share such special moments...
She has a lot of needs and her care has been second to none.
She is happy and very well looked after.
It's a wonderful place with excellent caring staff.
10/10 for everything.
Thank you so much for your kind review. It truly means a lot to hear how much you appreciate the care our team is providing for your mother. We are incredibly proud of the team and the genuine care they show every day, and it's wonderful to know it's recognised and appreciated.
Wonderfully supportive team at Loveday during a very difficult period. Of course a beautiful property but level of personal care was outstanding, not just in the day to day but also during transfers to and from hospital. Loveday made two their wonderful carers available to us until the very end and we are all so grateful my Dad got to spend his last few weeks with your tremendous support. Thank you
We are truly grateful for your kind words and the lovely review. It was our honour to care for your father and support you and your family during that time. Knowing our care made a positive difference means the world to us. Thank you for your trust and for sharing your experience.
I was most impressed and I don't hesitate to highly recommend Loveday, Abbey Road.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are delighted to hear that you had such a positive experience with our recovery care. Our team is dedicated to providing compassionate, tailored support and it is wonderful to know that it made a difference during your time with us. Your feedback means a lot and we wish you continued health and happiness.
I have had both of my parents residing at Loveday for over a year now. It has been amazing to witness such dedication, care and personal engagement from all of the team towards both parents and their very different needs. The quality of the medical attention is superb and the kindness and humanity with which they attend to both Mum and Dad, even in the intense moments that can occur, really has touched us as a family.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It has been so pleasing to see both parents move in at different times and settle in at their own pace. We understand that this journey is different for everyone and tailor to the individual needs. It is heartwarming to know that this has made a difference to your family. The team are thankful to have been a part of their journey.
The wonderful staff at Loveday Abbey Road looked after my mother with amazing care and attention for the last 3 months of her life. Selecting Abbey Road to look after her was the absolutely the best decision we made. The reassurance of knowing they could provide residential, nursing and end of life care in one location gave us peace of mind on an uncertain journey.
Thank you for your lovely review. We were delighted you made the decision to have your mother move to us and provide her with the best possible care. The team will always be grateful to have had your trust and will hold fond memories of the time she was with us. Our very best wishes.
The staff were brilliant at managing her move into Loveday. They were able to charm and distract her and even though there were difficult days, they always cared for her impeccably. The general manager, the nurses, the carers, the activity coordinators, the chefs, the reception staff and the domestic staff all took time to get to know and understand her. Loveday is an incredible place for someone with dementia.
She has been there over a year now and is so much more content than when she was struggling on at home. The staff:resident ratio is good and staff retention seems to be excellent. The staff are very dedicated and appear to genuinely enjoy the job. They have time to provide excellent and individualised care. Highly recommended.
Thank you for your wonderful review. It has been so pleasing to see your aunt settle well with us at Loveday Abbey Road - everyone loves having her with us. Your recognition of our team's commitment is greatly appreciated. We understand that the move-in process is often a difficult one and make every effort to tailor this to each member at Loveday.
I feel confident that my dearest friend is kept safe and looked after to the highest standards in every way possible.
I cannot imagine anywhere that is more special for somebody who needs special to be in.
I especially would like to mention General Manager who is exceptional and it is so obvious that all her staff respect her and are devoted to her.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We truly appreciate your feedback and the trust you've placed in us at Loveday Abbey Road. We always strive to go above and beyond in delivering exceptional care and hospitality, so it's wonderful to hear that our efforts are appreciated. We're also grateful...
Excellent nursing home. My wife Jackie spent six weeks at Loveday Abbey Road in a garden-facing respite room on the 4th floor Sadly her stay was always going to be short because she was terminally ill with brain cancer. However the nursing and general care she received was excellent even though she could be quite demanding. The staff were genuinely caring and generally responded to the call button within 5 minutes or so. The food was excellent and as a family we liked the fact that we could eat in with the resident downstairs or in her room or in the members' lounge where there were always complimentary hot and cold drinks. Think of Loveday as a 5 star all-inclusive hotel with friendly attentive staff and activities where every resident is special and you will not begrudge the cost.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review during this tough time. I know the team will really appreciate it. We all wish you the very best.
All the staff were amazing and so caring. The food was delicious. The facilities were excellent. The activities were fun. I even did karaoke and danced.
I felt relaxed, safe and so well cared for. It was like being welcomed into a big family.
When I had down moments, the staff listened and talked with me, nobody was ever too busy.
Thank you to every single one of you at Loveday, it was a pleasure to stay with you.
It was a pleasure to have you stay. I am sure the team and our members did not want you to leave either! Wishing you the best for your recovery at home.
