Jose began his healthcare career in Portugal as a paramedic and rescuer before training and qualifying as a nurse. He moved to England in 2013 and has developed extensive clinical and leadership experience within the care sector, progressing into management in 2019. His background combines frontline clinical practice with a strong understanding of quality assurance, regulatory compliance and clinical governance.

As Group Clinical Lead at Loveday, Jose works across the residences to strengthen clinical standards, governance and quality, supporting teams to deliver safe, consistent and person-centred care. Petra Ionescu has extensive senior leadership experience across the care sector, having held roles spanning home management, regional oversight and multi-site operations within some of the UK’s largest care organisations. Her experience includes leading regulatory improvement, strengthening clinical governance and overseeing the commissioning of new care services.

As Director of Operations at Loveday, Petra works across all residences to maintain consistently high standards of care, quality and clinical practice. Executive Chef Matt Dodge has been part of Loveday for a decade and brings extensive experience in creating food that combines excellent dining with the nutritional needs of residents. His work has received industry recognition, including the Creative Nutrition Award at the Dementia Care Awards and selection as a finalist in the NACC Care Chef of the Year 2026.

Matt works closely with the clinical and hospitality teams to develop seasonal menus around residents’ individual tastes, dietary requirements and wellbeing. He believes nutritious food should never come at the expense of flavour or enjoyment, and that dining should remain one of the pleasures of everyday life. Read less

Ana Bratu qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 2013, and her career has taken her through a range of nursing and specialist care settings, progressing from Registered Nurse to Senior Nurse, Unit Manager and Clinical Lead Manager. She has particular expertise in dementia care, complex clinical needs and palliative care, having been nominated for Palliative Care Nurse of the Year at the Great British Care Awards for two consecutive years.

As Head Nurse at Loveday Abbey Road, Ana draws on her clinical and leadership experience to support residents, their families and the nursing team. She places great importance on understanding each resident beyond their medical needs, including their personal history, preferences and wishes.
