My father who suffered from Alzheimer's and other issues was resident for about a year at Loveday Abbey Road. My mother and I are hugely grateful for the fantastic care he received. The outstanding feature of Loveday Abbey Road is the people who work there. Everyone was extremely welcoming and very
caring. My father was very well looked after with a kindness and human touch often missing elsewhere. The management, the nurses, the carers and indeed all other support staff make a real effort to get to know the residents, and their families, and to make what is a difficult time as good as it can be. They are interested in the individual and their needs, and look to make visiting family members welcome. The carers and nurses are well trained, pay attention to detail, proactive, dedicated, patient and focused. Their professional approach, obvious skill and real humanity was a great comfort. In short fabulous modern facilities with an exception team.
Reply from Lisa Nichols, Relationship Partner at Loveday Abbey RoadThank you so much for your wonderful review.
We are truly honoured that you entrusted us with your father's care. It means a great deal to know that you and your mother felt supported and comforted during such a difficult time.
Your kind words about our team, their professionalism, compassion and attention to detail will be shared with everyone at Loveday Abbey Road. It was a privilege to care for your father and support your family, and we miss you all.

My friend often stays at loveday Abby road. When we first visited many of the staff came outside to greet us. They are all very friendly and professional. Nothing is too much. I felt very happy to leave my friend in their care.
The holidays my friend has there are always successful. The food is delicious
and the garden very beautiful. The home is bright and cheerful and very clean. The general atmosphere is very happy and positive. We are very grateful for all of it. It helps my friend remain independent in a dignified way. She enjoys trips out to places of her choice. It helps her have a rest and myself also. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. The manager is very friendly and helpful and all the staff should feel very proud.
Reply from Lisa Nichols, Relationship Partner at Loveday Abbey RoadThank you very much for your kind and positive review.
We are delighted to hear that you and your friend felt so warmly welcomed and that our team helped you feel confident leaving her in our care. It's lovely to know she enjoys her regular stays with us - and we love having her.
Supporting independence and dignity is central to what we do, so your feedback means a great deal. Thank you for your recommendation and for your kind words about our General Manager Izabela and the team - they will be very proud to hear this.

My husband, who has Alzheimer's disease has been a resident at Loveday Abbey Road for over 2 years now and I am absolutely delighted with the quality of the care he receives and the beautiful environment he lives in. I actually feel very lucky I found this care home for him. It is on a small scale and
it feels more like a private home, which is very nicely decorated and well appointed with all kinds of modern features. Most importantly the quality of the care my husband receives at Loveday is of a very high standard. Carers and nurses are very well trained in understanding Dementia and caring for the residents with the disease. The staff is very caring, they show a lot of respect, attention and even affection to my husband. In every aspect Loveday is creating an experience as close to the resident's own home experience as possible. That is very valuable. When I go home I have full confidence that my husband is very well looked after. I can be at peace. That's the best part of it all
Reply from Lisa Nichols, Relationship Partner at Loveday Abbey RoadThank you so much for your beautiful words. It truly means the world to us. My wife entered Loveday at a time when it had become apparent that she had only a short time remaining. Her care needs were such that her welfare and dignity depended on the professionalism and kindness of her carers, and we gave much anxious thought to where she would be best looked after. We opted
for Loveday as we had received several recommendations praising the care offered. From our first contact, through the assessment process, the admission and my wife's stay there, my wife and our family were treated with an exceptional level of kindness, understanding and compassion. The infrastructure and facilities are more like a 5* hotel than a care home and are far ahead of any other care home that I have seen (and I have seen many over the years), but it was not these that stood out for us. Rather, it was the professionalism and empathy of the staff and the level of care that they provided ,which were truly outstanding. We could not have hoped for better. Thank you Team Loveday !
Reply from Lisa Nichols, Relationship Partner at Loveday Abbey RoadThank you for your kind and heartfelt review. I am 95 years old and my daughter, who is my primary carer, had to go away for a few days. So, knowing that I would be well looked after, I recently had an excellent fortnight's respite in Loveday Kensington, where we knew that the accommodation was first class. The care was all one could wish for.
The entertainment and activities provided were stimulating, especially the quizzes, and chair yoga, under the watchful eye of the responsible carers was highly beneficial. The varied and delicious food was equal to the top hotels, as was the service, and the general atmosphere was friendly and relaxing, without being patronising.
Thanks to all the team at Loveday Kensington for being so welcoming.

Our Mother first enjoyed Loveday post her hip replacement last summer, spending much time socialising in the Gardens with friends & family or dining 5* in the restaurant. Rehab, physio, personal nursing care all beyond.
Sadly, a year plus later, Mum succumbed to cancer and required 24/7 palliative
care. It was a no-brainer! Loveday! They arranged all the transport, a suitable room with a visitor sitting/ coffee area for us, Mum's two familiar & much loved nurses were again caring for her (and us!). She was always kept immaculate - clean, quoiffed & comfortable. It became our "home from home".
Even after the eventful early hours call, Loveday treated Mum & us with respect & dignity and helped / advised with the next steps arrangements.
Note: Loveday is affiliated with the St John & St Elisabeth hospice and they too were amazing, their specialist nurse visiting with compassion & common sense.
Loveday: We LOVE you all. With huge gratitude forever xxxx
Reply from Lisa Nichols, Relationship Partner at Loveday Abbey RoadThank you for taking the time to share such a moving and thoughtful review. We are deeply honored that your mother was part of the Loveday community during both her recovery and later, her palliative care journey.

It was a privilege to care for your mother and to support your family during such a difficult time. You are always welcome back at Loveday Abbey Road!

A wonderful discovery to find this type of post operative care existed in the UK. The initial welcome was very friendly and professional. The facilities are akin to a 5 star hotel, and the care and support have been exceptional. The medical recording was thorough and in the room facilities are very
good. The catering was of a very high standard. There was also a good selection of social activities.

Loveday has provided a superb environment for my husband to recover from a traumatic brain injury. The building is very user friendly and well thought out; everything works and there is an attractive garden with seating and paths for easy walking. But the jewel in the crown is the team. All
the staff are warm, and attentive without ever being intrusive. They know exactly what they are doing. I have felt totally at peace leaving him in the care of such people and he has recovered extremely well. He has also benefitted enormously from the excellent physiotherapy arranged for him and the nourishing and appetising food the chef consistently turns out.

At first the transition from 24 hour care at home to Loveday was quite traumatic for my husband and I initially feared he would not settle. But gradually, with the warm and loving support of each and every member of staff, he adapted to the new rhythms of life. The constant good humour and endless
patience of the expertly trained carers never cease to amaze me. I am also most impressed with the quality and variety of events and entertainment available to residents and their visitors. I can spend a lovely afternoon listening to a very talented musician having had a superb lunch with my husband. All in all, I believe it is the best possible 'home from home' for a loved one and I give daily gratitude to Loveday.

The premises themselves were extremely clean, light and airy. The food was delicious for guests and the residents alike. My mother was on category 6 food so it was great to have the chef to be so accommodating and igneous within the limited scope of what my mother could eat. The staff couldn't be more
attentive or caring, it was a huge relief to be able to leave her n such good hands. It was exactly what my mother needed to recover from surgery.

The staff looked after our mother who was ill and infirm. The standard of care was excellent and the compassion and interest in the overall well being was amazing. They were very attentive, continually checking on her, engaging with her, taking her for walks and sitting with her. They really did show
a level of care/compassion that we had hoped we would experience but in all honesty had not expected to receive anywhere. The facilities are wonderful, clean and tidy.
We would strongly recommend LoveDay. We had looked at 3-4 other homes but none of them came even close. Whilst she sadly passed away, she always said to us how happy she was here. In the desperately sad times after her passing, we did gain comfort from knowing that she was happy and comfortable in her surroundings.

My wife had significant surgery to remove stomach cancer at St Thomas' Hospital under NHS. We felt that it was better that she had some continuing support before returning home. The room was very comfortable and perfectly equipped to provide her with suitable facilities, supportive bed, bed-side table
and trolley and the room furnishing was ideal.
She was given regular medical support and administration of the hospital medication and guidance on various medical aspects. The food provided was excellent and prepared to precisely match the post-operative diet guidance notes. There were regular visits from various members of the medical, care and cleaning staff who were all very supportive. The bathroom was spacious and fitted with specialised facilities to provide a safe and easily accessed use for my wife's limited mobility. The staff were very friendly, supportive and sensitive to the stress of the post operative limitations. Her visitors were very warmly greeted by the reception team and were invited to have refreshments and snacks.
The high point of the whole pleasant experience was a celebratory dinner for Susan's birthday held in the delightful garden. A perfect finale to a wonderful service by Loveday.
