The staff and care at Marina View are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. As soon as my mother-in-law came to stay the care home, I felt I could breathe a bit easier. Maureen had a terrible time in hospital and the difference in care she receives here is like night and day. She is very happy here and tells me every week how kind and helpful the staff are to her. We held her 95th birthday arty at the care home with a fantastic 3 course meal and cake. Diana and team had decorated the room and made the experience so welcoming. We could not have asked for more. I would recommend Marina View to anyone looking for a home away from home.

My brother was deemed end of life in Hospital. So that we could visit him easier he was moved to Marina View. We could not believe how stunning it was so clean, so inviting and his room was like a 5 * hotel. Staff were amazing but too few of them. Food looked brilliant. All staff were caring and sincere when my brother passed away. He was only there a week, but boy this was the best place we could have ever chosen. Just needs to make sure the hand over from hospitals is filtered down to all staff.
I have found that the facilities and environment are very relaxing. The residence is always clean and tidy and the staff are always friendly and helpful. They have a good relationship with my brother and I have personally found them to be helpful, welcoming and approachable. There are often events on and the staff go above and beyond to make them a success. My brother is comfortable and happy in the residence.

My mother needed to into a nursing home very quickly. We looked round Marina View and found the manager very welcoming and honest. She has clearly worked hard and was proud of the home but knew there were always things to improve on. My mother was there for a week until she passed away. The nursing staff were active in getting support from the hospice. The staff as a whole (careers/cleaners/ laundry) were always kind, caring, respectful and very helpful. I would totally recommend the home. The individual outdoor and communal outdoor spaces are excellent.
Beautiful facility, clean and tidy rooms and common areas. All staff very helpful and friendly. Meet the Team (3)

We are proud to introduce Jacquie Hamilton, our Care Home Manager at Marina Care Home.
Jacquie leads a dedicated team providing high-quality, person-centred care to our residents. She stepped into this role in June 2024, bringing with her over 40 years of experience in nursing and social care.
Her career began as a care assistant, and over the years she has worked across a wide range of mental health settings, including acute wards, prisons and custody suites, forensic units, and community teams. After caring for her mother during her terminal illness, Jacquie developed a deep passion for supporting older adults to live with dignity, comfort, and joy. This passion has shaped her career ever since.
Jacquie is committed to leading with compassion, integrity, and professionalism, ensuring residents receive not only excellent clinical care but also kindness, respect, and a true sense of home.

Voicu is a dedicated healthcare professional as our Deputy Manager at Marina View Care Home.
Having started this role in February 2025, Vic brings with him over 10 years of experience as a nurse.
He brings strong clinical knowledge, leadership skills, and a genuine passion for patient care. He takes pride in supporting both his team and the individuals we care for, and he truly enjoys the work he does.

We are proud to introduce Leanne as our Administrator/Receptionist at Marina View.
Leanne's varied career background has given her a broad range of experience. She began her working life at Hewlett-Packard, before moving into housing and then into a role as a Probation Officer, where Leanne was fortunate enough to receive two awards for her work.
Both Leanne's mother and sister worked in the care sector, and after many discussions, Leanne agreed to take on a role within the care industry herself.
Since joining Morar, Leanne says she truly understands why so many people choose to work in care. She finds the role thoroughly satisfying. Leanne speaks with the residents every day and has become a first point of contact for many of them, which is a part of my job I value greatly.
