I cannot speak highly enough of the care my mum receives at Langham Manor, and has always received since she moved in.
All of the staff from housekeeping, carers, management, chefs, handymen, and events arranging are excellent and treat mum with kindness, care, dignity and help her to live the best
life she can.
I am happy because mum is happy, and I would like to send a big thank you to all at Langham Manor.

My experience of Hermitage House has been second to none. Having a loved one move into a care home can be really tough and knowing that that hermitage house is clean and welcoming and the staff are amazing and I feel my loved one is being very well cared for. The care being delivered is very personal
centred, professional and the respect shown to the residents and their families is top class.
I have never been in a care home like Hermitage House and feel so lucky my family member managed to secure a space there to be cared for.
Knowing I want to visit my mum often makes this a better experience when the environment seems calm and friendly and the staff can never do enough.
They extra activities on offer break up the week for residents and can bring joy to them and their families.
I feel part of Hermitage House family and couldn't be more grateful for all the hard work everyone delivers to make this care home one of the best in my opinion.

My nan had taken the decision to move to a residential home, chose Squadron Manor and then told us as a family! She chose brilliantly, as even though there were new home teething (brilliantly resolved by the team), we feel SAFE when we leave her like we never did at her home.
I would recommend the
home for any family looking for supportive comfort.

We are delighted to hear that your nan chose Squadron Manor and that both she and your family feel so positive about her decision. Moving into a care home is a significant step, and knowing that you feel safe and reassured when leaving her in our care is one of the greatest compliments we could receive.

As a new home, there have naturally been a few challenges along the way, but we are pleased that any teething issues were resolved quickly and that the team has been able to provide the supportive, comfortable environment your nan deserves.

Your recommendation means a great deal to us, and we will be sure to share your kind words with the entire team.

Squadron Manor

from Peter T (Son of Resident) published on 16 June 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
We moved our parents into Squadron Manor in March 2026 after several years of live-in care. I had always dreaded the moment we had to make this choice, especially finding somewhere to keep them together. But from the outset, the Management team have given fantastic support and advice to us as a family.
The care being provided is exceptional, the rooms are spacious, well furnished, and the carers have been fantastic. The food i've seen so far has looked really nice, which was one of my concerns prior to the move. There is an onsite salon which i recently used with the relief that my Mums long term hairdresser was able to use, essential to be able to keep some familiar faces for my parents. The challenge i faced dealing with GPs and the pharmacy is now overseen by the care home which has lifted a big weight off my shoulders, allowing me to spend more time being a son and spending precious time with my parents. We are so happy we chose Squadron Manor.
Reply from Barbra Alison, Home Manager at Squadron ManorThank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and heartfelt review.
We understand what a difficult and emotional decision it can be to move loved ones into residential care, particularly after years of supporting them at home. We are truly honoured that you chose Squadron Manor and delighted to hear that both your parents and your family have had such a positive experience.
It is wonderful to know that our management team were able to provide support and guidance throughout the transition and that you have been pleased with the care, accommodation, dining experience and facilities available. We recognise how important familiarity and continuity are, so we are especially pleased that your mum's long-term hairdresser has been able to continue visiting her in our salon.
Your comments about the support with GP and pharmacy arrangements are particularly meaningful.

My wife who is suffering from dymensia. A spent two weeks respite break whilst I had a hernia operation. We were delighted with the experience and well go back, probably for both our final days. The staff were plentiful and nothing was too much trouble - they would go 'the extra mile' with a smile on
their face. It resembled a high quality hotel and whilst security was in evidence, time there never felt like a prison visit. Parking was plentiful and the other inmates were comfortable to be with. I would recommend Trinity to all our pals.
Reply from Diana Cole, Supporting Management Team at Trinity ManorThank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review.

We are delighted to hear that you and your wife felt well cared for during her two-week respite stay with us while you recovered from your operation. It is especially rewarding to know that our team made a positive difference during what can be a challenging time, and that their kindness, attentiveness, and willingness to go the extra mile helped you both feel comfortable and supported.

We also appreciate your comments about the homely environment and the sense of safety and security within the home. Creating a warm, hotel-like atmosphere where residents feel at ease is something we work hard to achieve every day.

It's lovely to hear that you found the experience reassuring enough to consider returning in the future. We would be honoured to welcome you both back whenever the need arises.

Thank you again for your recommendation and kind words-they mean a great deal to the whole team at Trinity.

My husband has been with Kincairney House for over 1 year. He will not be coming home. He had a bad stroke quite some time ago. The care he has been having is good, but because he got used to regular care assistance, when they change it is a bit disconcerting for him. The nursing care is good. Also,
the food is sufficient for his needs. But why is his food now made much smaller, i.e., mashed up?

We are so thankful that Townsend Manor were able to accept are care for Dad, with the care levels that he needs. We did not think it was possible to move Dad, but the staff at Townsend assured us they would happily care for him. Since day one, Dad has thrived in their care. Being encouraged and helped
to get up, mix in the day room and eat together in a dining room, has given Dad back his sense of humour and self respect. Having staff assist at meal times, and eating with him, has helped his mental state and appetite enormously. It is a pleasure to visit him and see how genuinely happy he is, to be among friendly, caring staff that treat him like family. Dad loves being at Townsend Manor and tells us every visit how happy he is there, how he enjoys the food and friendships and wants to stay. What more could anyone ask for their loved one. Huge thanks to all the caring staff, it means more to us than you will ever know to have Dad so happy again, and gaining weight.

Mum recently moved in after struggling to cope at home. Staff and management instantly made her feel at home. The rooms and amenities are fantastic. Staff are friendly and on site nurses always reassure my mum with any changes to her medication. Highly recommended.

Squadron Manor is a beautiful new facility where the staff are first class . So happy to have finally found a place where we are comfortable with leaving our dear mum to be cared for and confident that she is getting the best care possible which she so deserves. It's a family environment where everyone
feels comfortable family and friends included . We have experienced many care homes and this is the best by far. So grateful for the staff and management for providing this wonderful opportunity for mum to spend her remaining years .

Pitreavie Castle Care Home

My mother in-law is a resident of the care home. When my husband knew the time had come to put his mum in a home it was an incredibly hard time. We met with Stephen one of the regional managers and he was amazing in guiding us though the process, there was no sales pitch just compassion and understanding.
From the very first time we came to the home the staff were welcoming and friendly and this hadn't changed to this day. They are brilliant with her. We never expected it but she has a much better quality of life in the home than before. She is more sociable and active. The rooms all have beautiful views and she loves feeding the squirrels every day.
You can see this is not an easy job for the staff but they really are brilliant and work really hard and we appreciate all they do for her. I'm so thankful we have been able to find a place where she is so happy and doing so well. Thanks to everyone for all the hard work.
Reply from Jodie Clark, Home Manager at Pitreavie Castle Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review. It truly means a great deal to all of us.

Your kind words about our team are greatly appreciated. Knowing that your mother-in-law feels happy, engaged, and more sociable is exactly what we strive for every day. It's lovely to hear she enjoys her surroundings-and feeding the squirrels sounds like such a special part of her routine!
Our staff work with genuine care and dedication, and your recognition of their efforts will mean so much to them. Thank you again for your trust and for allowing us to be part of your mother-in-law's journey.
If there is ever anything more we can do, please don't hesitate to

Kincairney House

Dad has been a resident at Kincairney since November 2025, and the care he has received has been exceptional. The staff go above and beyond to support his medical, physical and personal needs, and keep us informed of any changes. Regular meetings give us the chance to share our thoughts too.

We've

also used the lovely communal spaces for birthdays and special occasions - invaluable moments for Mum and Dad, allowing us to continue the family celebrations that have always been so important to us. We even used the cinema room, with juice and popcorn, to watch one of Dad's favourite family films.

Although Dad lives with dementia, he's warmly included in activities that bring focus and variety to his routine. What stands out most is that the team care not only for the resident, but for the whole family and the life story behind them.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Kincairney.

Very pleased with the care and support my mother is being provided with. Not living locally, we appreciate the regular telephone updates. We recently had a birthday party lunch within the care home. Multiple family members were present and all fully appreciated the great hospitality provided by the
care home staff in the private room. I must also mention the excellent service provided by the in-house hairdresser.
