My stepfather in law David was sent here after being discharged from hospital. I found all the staff very caring and helpful. I do not live in the area, but when I was unable to visit the staff kept me updated. (He passed away on 18 June 2026) I would like to mention two staff member Jenny (nurse) Amanda (reception). My husband receives excellent care at this home. The staff are always friendly, caring and professional, and they go out of their way to make residents feel comfortable and valued. Overall Experience

My mother moved into Wimborne Manor in late December 2025, and our experience has been excellent from the very beginning. The staff were extremely welcoming and made both my mother and our family feel comfortable and reassured. The facilities are exceptionally clean and tidy, with an atmosphere that feels more like a high-quality hotel than a care home. The food is very good, always nicely prepared, and there is a wide variety of activities available, including regular excursions and internal entertainment. Additional services such as hairdressing and chiropody can also be arranged, which is a great convenience. Most importantly, the level of care provided has been outstanding. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and the kindness, professionalism, and support they have shown my mother. I would highly recommend Wimborne Manor to anyone looking for a caring, welcoming, and well-managed care home.

The induction on arrival was disapointing but I understan this has now been addressed. It was a matter of learning 'as we go'.
There is a distrinct impression the home is still 'getting to' understand its own specific identity but over the four months it is obvious the team as it knits together is eager to get things right.

The team is enthusiastically committed and dedicated so the future looks terrific!! When you stop getting better you stop being good!!

My aunt arrived late afternoon after being discharged from hospital. The welcome team was exemplary with management staying on longer to meet and welcome my aunt to the home. Also, a wonderful designated carer showed such kindness and understanding to my aunt. The care from all the staff has again been fantastic, with many of the wonderful staff still there from when my mother was at Townsend Manor 18 months ago. Thank you once again.

My dad is a new resident at Harbour House The management team Lauren and Anitha made our transition effortless. We had a warm welcome by Hamish.
Very impressed at Harbour Houses tasteful decoration throughout. The rooms are spacious, bright and comfortable complete with an elegant en-suite shower room. There are various lounges with kitchenettes and quiet lounges to sit and relax whilst looking out to sea. Very nicely designed and calmly decorated.
Friendly staff members introduced themselves to my dad and were very well presented in their smart uniforms. Staff were very calm and had a kind, gentle approach.
My dad instantly felt relaxed with the soft music playing in the corridors
There's a wonderful selection of food on the menu with hot and cold drinks, fresh fruit, cakes or snacks served throughout the day.
Yvonne, activities coordinator made an instant impact. My dad was up dancing, singing and on an outing immediately.

My mum has been a resident for just over a year now. Recently she has needed more complex and direct care and support. I cannot thank Romanda, Louisa, Connie and all the staff that offer her support in every way for the care and compassion they have shown both mum and myself in this challenging time.
The staff are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that mum is cared for in everyway.

The home feels so relaxed with the current management and you can see and feel they are well supported in their roles.

My parents were both residents at Escan Manor care home. When Dad died in January they were so caring to us as a family and in particular to Mum who was still with them. The were very invested in making it as good as it could be for her, listening when she needed it and trying to get her involved in any of the activities of which she was capable. Mum died at the end of January, just 3 weeks short of her 100th birthday. She needed a lot of care, physically and mentally. The family truly believe that she could not have been better cared for anywhere. The whole team there are a happy bunch. They are all invested and interested in their residents. From the care staff, cleaning, catering, maintenance, reception and the management. Just thank you all.

We have a lovely afternoon spending time with our friend Maureen.
We had a 3 course meal and it was excellent.

Overall Experience

The staff and care at Marina View are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. As soon as my mother-in-law came to stay the care home, I felt I could breathe a bit easier. Maureen had a terrible time in hospital and the difference in care she receives here is like night and day. She is very happy here and tells me every week how kind and helpful the staff are to her. We held her 95th birthday arty at the care home with a fantastic 3 course meal and cake. Diana and team had decorated the room and made the experience so welcoming. We could not have asked for more. I would recommend Marina View to anyone looking for a home away from home.

My father has been a resident in Hermitage House for nearly 2 years and the level of care has been excellent. He has complicated health needs and these are all addressed in a very professional manner. The staff are wonderful and treat him with respect and dignity. Everyone is very friendly and supportive. I cannot recommend Hermitage House highly enough.

Overall Experience

So pleased we moved my aunt to Townsend Manor. I have piece of mind that she is being well cared for in the nursing unit. I have visited at various times during the day and have been overwhelmed at the great care shown to my aunt from carers, staff, nurses and kitchen team they have built up a good rapport with my aunt and she always assured me she is being well cared for and happy in her new home.

Our brother has been in the Langham Manor care home for nine weeks now and will definitely be staying for longer.
The team are just excellent, having met Constantine, Louisa and Mandy (the Care Home Manager) during the assessment of my brother we knew from the outset that our brother would be in excellent and very supportive hands
Quite recently my brother had a 'wobble' with his challenges, the team at Langham Manor could not have been more professional and supportive, to both our brother and his family. Their swift response and willingness to be involved in the resolution was brilliant, whilst very clear with my brother & his behaviour they offered him such warming support that they settled our brother back into his happy & helpful mindset and a realisation of how much he valued the opportunities he has at Langham Manor.
The team are professionally led and so caring of those staying with them
