The care staff are very friendly and helpful with nothing too much trouble and genuinely care about residents and family. The building has been furnished to a very high standard and has the appearance of a hotel rather than a care home.
Reply from Gaynor Scott, Manager at Langham ManorThank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. I am very proud of the care staff here at Langham and your feedback has reiterated what i see and hear around the home in regards to how the staff care for not only our residents but their relatives too.

We had a christmas meal for the resident - 8 of us. We all had a great time. The meal was provided, and we did the extras. Everyone was so kind and helpful. A christmas carol sing a long for the residents, which we joined in completed the event.

When we were looking at Langham Manor as a potential home for my Mum, we looked at the reviews and saw all the positive comments about the welcome, the cleanliness, the care and attention that residents received. I can only say that, when Mum went to stay there this week, all those comments are absolutely
right. Langham Manor is a perfect home. We have already been receiving regular updates on Mum's wellbeing and her settling in. It is so reassuring to know that she is receiving the care she needs, knowing that the staff are so attentive and professional. Langham Manor is a real find and I recommend it highly.

I was told that before I went 15 steps into care home I would know if the home was suitable for my wife it is definitely from the happy faces/ nothing is too much trouble staff always polite the whole care home clean and always tidy son years ago had to come up with a name for clay models they were
carrying out at school he said the classy clay company. I would like to say Langham Manor the classy care home excellent place.

What can I say - we struck really lucky with Langham Manor! I looked at a few homes in the area. Narrowed it down to two. We went with Langham Manor. My father was quite poorly where he entered, but he certainly rallied with the fantastic staff, surrounding and most delicious food. None of us could
have asked for more. Friendly staff, who couldn't do any more for either my father, or us. His family. Definitely a 5 star place.
Reply from Gaynor Scott, Home Manager at Langham ManorThank you so much for taking the time to share your kind words. We are truly delighted that you chose Langham Manor and that your father felt so well supported and cared for during his time with us. It means a great deal to our whole team to know that the care, comfort and surroundings helped him rally, and that you and your family felt welcomed and supported too.
Our staff take great pride in providing a warm and homely environment, and your comments about their friendliness and dedication will be shared with them they will be thrilled to hear this.
Thank you once again for your thoughtful review and 5-star rating. It has been our privilege to care for your father and to support your family.

We as a family cannot express how amazing abbeygate manor has been.
Mum came in two weeks ago on end of life, and we are talking the ambulance that took her there had to stop a few times as did not think she was not going to make it.
Since she has been in Abbeygate the care she has received has been
more than outstanding, it's a miracle and what they have been and done for our mum/nanny.
The care she is getting is the best I have ever seen, not only for mum but for us the family.
We are and will be eternally grateful for all you do. Thank you so much for your wonderful staff you are truly angels x

Our mum has been a resident at Abbygate for almost 2 months. It was difficult for her to start with, as she had been independent for many years, but after a few falls became very frail and loving on her own was no longer an option. Mum has a lovely roo, with ensuite and patio doors that lead onto a
patio. The staff are wonderful and treat mum with respect and dignity, and nothing is ever too much trouble. Any issues are dealt with promptly. She has her hair done at their salon every week, and a chiropodist is visiting her this week. Mum looks so well now, and it's a pleasure to visit her, she's more like the mum we used to have. Mum/we no longer have to worry about her being alone at night, someone is there at the press of a button. We are all delighted with her care. It's like a 5 star hotel. Many, many thanks.

My siblings and I are happy with the care dad is receiving at Langham Manor. The staff are friendly, compassionate and caring and management is always happy to answer any questions we might have. The facilities are good and the garden is a real bonus as dad enjoys walking around it and looking at the
plants. The food is nutritious and plentiful which is not always the case in other care homes.

Our experience of Abbeygate Manor has been outstanding, from the moment we looked round the care home, right up to our family member being admitted has been excellent. The manager was so kind, thoughtful, understanding and caring. This was a difficult decision for us as a family, and all the time the
manager and his team helped, reassured us, which is what we needed. Without a doubt, they made the transition so much easier. The care home is so different to most in the area, a modern, no-smell, no clinical feeling, making it feel far more homely. Nothing has been too much for the manager, he has made calls to check we are ok as he knew we was very upset with this move. We cannot thank him and his staff enough. Would highly recommend.

In June, we moved my dad into Langham Manor for palliative care. He was there almost 2 1/2 months before passing and unquestionably, we had extra time because of the care and love he received. The caregivers were exceptional! They were so kind and respectful. They talked to my dad and told him funny
stories. They made him smile. Their spirit and humour made for a wonderful atmosphere. For us, they were a shoulder to cry on, our strength and always reminded us to eat on the long, hard, emotional days. The entire staff were excellent! Understanding and nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was exceptional quality! The rooms are spacious and always kept clean. I had complete trust in the medical team. The special touches of homemade birthday cakes were lovely. We came to Langham Manor at quite a sad time, but somehow they made it okay. They were wonderful and we couldn't be more grateful. We felt their kindness, their love and my dad died peacefully and with dignity. Thank you.
Reply from Gaynor Scott, Home Manager at Langham ManorThank you so much for taking the time to share such heartfelt words about your experience with us. Ensuring that every resident feels loved, respected, and cared for with dignity is at the heart of what we do, and your message means the world to us.
Please accept our sincerest condolences for your loss, and our gratitude for allowing us to be part of your dads journey. Well be sure to share your words with the whole team they will be so moved to know the difference they made.

I had the most amazing experience with all the wonderful staff at Langham Manor, The carers/nurses etc went above and beyond and us as a family are so very grateful. I will never forget the way we were treated here, The support, care and compassion was second to none and I genuinely want to thank every
single one of you from the bottom of my heart. I never expected the level of support, going above and beyond and making our family feel so welcome and at home. Shame about the circumstances but they made my mother's last days dignified and the manager offered incredible support during our short journey. It was nice for my mother to be around friendly faces, In her home town and knowing she was in safe hands. Me and my family can't thank you enough and will certainly make sure you get the recognition you deserve.

My mother moved to Abbeygate Manor as her previous residential care home was not able to provide the nursing care she was going to need.

It is brand new with beautiful interior design, furnishing and facilities and has a bright, friendly and welcoming feel. My mother was able to have a nice ground

floor room with a little patio.

All the staff are really wonderful. They provide all the help and support my mother needs at this point in her life with compassion and understanding, for which I am extremely grateful to each and every one of them.

Communications are excellent and I am kept fully informed about developments regarding my mother's care. The management are very open and available to talk to about any concerns or suggestions and have been responsive to adapting things to meet her specific needs.

I visit regularly and Abbeygate Manor is somewhere I am happy to spend time and equally confident when I leave that my mother is being well looked after.
