Care Homes Owned by Morar Living in Highland

Morar Highland is a place of peace and security and much love and care, My Mum arrived just over a month ago to a warmth and care so very genuine that my husband and I had no worries about her safety. Frith and her wonderful team have made Morar Highland a truly happy sanctuary for the very vunerable and frail. My Mum is so very happy and settled, in fact she's putting on weight, the meals are so good. The warmth and kindness of ALL the staff comes from the loving hug generated from Frith herself. We highly recommend this remarkable home.

The enthusiastic activities team are always thinking up new ideas for the residents with music and singing as an important base. A Cycling UK-affiliated community group visiting and taking residents out on their adapted bikes are a highlight.

My mother was booked in for two weeks respite in July/August 2026. The service was excellent, staff friendly & helpful. My mum came home re-invigorated and healthier than ever. A great respite stay! Would use again.

Room was spacious, nicely furnished and decorated to a high standard. There are many activities available for residents and visitors are made to feel very welcome.

My dad has been a resident at Morar Highland since April 2026. He has advanced Alzheimer's Disease and the care and compassion he has received has been exceptional. The staff are incredibly professional and kind, and create an environment that not only meets his considerable nursing needs, but ensures he feels safe, happy and cared for. The management and staff make sure our family is fully informed and involved. Knowing that my dad is so well looked after is such a relief. He really couldn't be in a better place.

They go over and above to facilitate my visits and in between visits communicate with me regulary. The home is spotlessly clean, the food and bedrooms of a high quality and the activities varied as well as tailored to individual needs. Putting my Mom into care was very difficult but she is incredibly well cared for by the Morah Highland team

My dad is settled in Morar Highland where the staff are always friendly and supportive, there are lots of activities and he has a couple of wee ' jobs' to give him a sense of purpose. He even talks of going home now when I take him out.

The location is fabulous, the lounges and rooms actually feel like a home rather than a 'home'. I really feel we made the best choice.

I am very happy with the care dad receives and the compassion of the staff when he needs extra support. Thank you to Frith and the team - from reception to nursing and care staff there is always a ready smile and everyone makes the time to speak whenever needed. The food is tasty and a good selection - the cakes are delicious! The home is very clean and well kept and the housekeeping team are friendly and helpful. Betty and her entertainment team are fabulous and really go the extra mile to match activities to the residents needs.

If looking for care in Inverness I highly recommend you have a chat and a look round.

Care staff did not follow the care plan. He was not treated with dignity, respect or in accordance with his wishes/preferences. He was placed at risk of injury and was often in distress because staff did not appear to have the skills or knowledge to support him. Infection protection and control guidance was not followed. Staff practice and behaviours including that of management toward resident and myself as his legal representative did not align with professional codes of conduct. I had to involve adult support and protection. I complained to the care regulator regarding this and all of my complaints were upheld. There is currently an improvement notice served on the home.

I removed the resident and he is doing better.

From day 1 my sister was given the best of care - she was bedridden and could not speak but the staff excelled in catering to her every need and often anticipated what she wanted before we did. I have experience of other care homes in the area and this one is by far the most superior. Relatives are welcomed and so well looked after by every member of staff.

From January 2023 - March 2024, my mum was in the care of Castlehill and throughout her time there, she was treated with great care and dignity. Every member of staff from domestics, kitchen, carers, nurses, activities, handymen and administration to management were great, friendly and very approachable. Days leading up to my mum passing, I received that same care and consideration. I will be forever grateful that my mum was a resident at Castlehill Care Home. She was very lucky to have been there with such lovely people.

My husband and very good friend were in Castlehill and both were very well cared for, the staff were wonderful. The manager was superb.

I cannot praise all the staff enough and in my opinion it is an extremely well-run establishment. Thank you to all the staff.

My mother was in Castlehill Care Home for the past 2.5 years, her care was excellent during all that time. The manager and staff were cheerful, friendly, professional and easy to speak to if I had any questions regarding her well-being. She was treated with dignity and respect from when she arrived until the day they walked her out the door on her final journey. I honestly cannot recommend this care home highly enough.

The staff were just incredible through the entire process, from Grannie arriving, her care and after she passed. I will always remember being offered warm apple crumble when I had an emotional moment at the home. Thank you Castlehill Care Home.

My aunt experienced the best quality end-of-life care to the very finer details of the staff walking her from the home when she went to be at peace.

The staff at this care home are a team of people who really do care. Everyone, from the receptionist to the management team and everyone in between, has been friendly, caring and fantastic with my granddad.
