Mart joined Morar Living at Tantallon House in North Berwick in 2024 as a Clinical Lead. Within one week of the internal restructuring, he was promoted to Deputy Manager when the Deputy stepped into the Home Manager role.
During his 18 months as Deputy Manager at Tantallon House, the home achieved significant and measurable improvements across the service. At the time of Mart’s arrival, the home held grade 3 ratings across all areas with the Care Inspectorate. Through strong leadership, team development, governance improvements, and a focus on quality of care, they successfully elevated the home’s grades to 3 5s and 2 4s, a substantial improvement reflecting enhanced standards and resident outcomes.
Following this success, Mart was asked to provide leadership support to Morar Highland as Registered Manager, and the rest is history.
