Rachael has been actively involved in the care sector since 2011. Her journey began as a domestic in a residential/dementia home, where she transitioned into the role of a care assistant. It was during this time that she discovered her true passion for a caring role.
Demonstrating dedication and growth, Rachael advanced to become a senior care assistant and eventually assumed the position of deputy manager within the same home where she initially started as a domestic.
Seeking further progression, Rachael undertook the role of a registered manager in a residential/dementia home, successfully managing it for 6.5 years. Subsequently, she embarked on a new chapter in her career with Danforth, taking on the position of manager at Old Norse Lodge.
Rachael is committed to delivering the highest quality of care in a person-centred manner and within a homely environment. She leads a strong and passionate team that shares her dedication, maintaining high standards and a similar drive. Outside of her professional commitments, Rachael finds enjoyment in reading, going to the gym, and socializing with friends and family.
Charlene is raising her two teenage children in Scunthorpe, a place she has called home throughout her life. Her journey in the care sector began at the age of 18, fulfilling a passion she identified during her school years.
Charlene boasts extensive experience across various facets of the care sector, ranging from domiciliary to palliative care, with roles in community settings, hospitals, and care homes.
Starting as a carer in a care home, Charlene progressed to the role of senior before taking a break to focus on her first child. After a year, she returned to the workforce, initially in hospitals on elderly wards and later transitioning to the midwifery side within both hospital and community settings. Her career continued with a focus on palliative care in the community. Following the birth of her second child, Charlene chose home care to be more available for her children. She then transitioned to a care home, initially as a senior, and was subsequently promoted to the role of clinical lead/deputy manager.
Charlene joined Old Norse as a unit manager and gradually progressed to the position of Care Manager. Her diverse experience reflects her commitment to the care sector and her resilience in overcoming personal challenges.
