We are disappointed to hear about your experience at Osbern Manor relating to your grandmother whilst she lived there with us last year.Unfortunately, there are times when a person's needs change and they can no longer be safely cared for in a particular setting, despite all efforts. The specific details around her care were discussed verbally and in writing with her Lasting Power of Attorney at that time.We are sorry that you feel the experience did not meet your expectations.
Thank you for leaving us a review. It is important for future users to see feedback from families.
Thank you, we'll share your kind words with the team!

We are sorry to read that you were not happy with the care your Grandmother received during her stay in Osbern Manor. We are always keen to discuss any concerns and work with family members to rectify wherever possible any issues surrounding their loved ones' stay with us. We had never had to serve notice to any resident previously and the decision here was reached reluctantly. We take on board all feedback provided in order to hone our services and regret that you felt our standards were lacking in your opinion. Our home manager is still available to discuss any further matters. Of course, we are sorry that we were not able to make things work out to the satisfaction of all parties and wish your grandmother the very best going forward and hope that she becomes settled in her new home.

I have worked in healthcare since 2004, in both NHS and private care settings. I have a nursing background; I graduated from The University of Buckingham. As the General Manager, I lead the team that provides holistic care to our residents. We involve them and their families in everything we do because the most crucial part of my job is giving meaning to people's lives. Working in partnership with residents, families, and professionals has always been one of my core values. I strive to continually develop to ensure that the residents I care for experience the very best care and enrichment. Our door is always open to visitors, so please feel free to drop in and join us for a cup of tea, a piece of cake and a chat about life in our home.
I started working in care in 2019 after completing my Level 3 in Health and Social Care at College. I have always been a very ambitious person and have always strived to be the best that I can be. I started as a Carer In 2019 and quickly realised that this is where I belong - helping others in the care sector, and this is where my career goals began. Within a year, I worked my way up to Team Leader and then in 2022, I was promoted to Deputy Manager to become a Registered Home Manager in 5 years.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, sewing, and knitting. I also enjoy listening to my favourite music artists from the 1950s-1970s. I have an old soul, as some would say.
I am delighted to have joined the Oakland Care family as Senior Client Relations Manager for Osbern Manor, Hyllden Heights, Birchwood Heights and Maplewood Court. My experience in the role goes back 11 years now, including the commissioning of a new care home.
Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than assisting families to explore full-time care options whilst sharing insights during what is often a stressful time for them. Outside of work, my biggest passion has always been travel, which hopefully will become easier again in the fullness of time!
As one of the newest members of the Clients Relations Team for Kent, I’m very proud to be a part of the Oakland Care family.
I originally trained as a photographer and photographic printer back in the days of film! From shooting family portraits in the studio one day to being in the darkroom the next, it was a varied job.
I then worked in a Grammer School Art and D.T. departments, supporting the teachers and students. Ensuring learning had taken place. My main role was setting up and running the photography unit.
Before joining the Oakland Care family, I spent nine years with a boutique Cinema, covering many aspects of the business and heading up customer relations.
Working for Oakland Care has been by far the most personally rewarding; helping residents and their families navigate what can be a difficult and stressful pathway to happiness gives me immense pleasure.
Our residents are at the heart of everything we do here at Oakland Care, and I feel truly humbled to be a part of it.
Outside work, I enjoy getting out in the fresh air, either on my bike or walking in the countryside.
