Although my Mother in Law was only at Harpenden Springs for a short period, the care that she received was outstanding. Every member of staff were so professional, caring and thoughtful. It would be difficult to pick out any one member of staff for praise, as everybody from the Dining room staff through to the Nursing staff were so positive, and nothing was too much. I really can't praise everyone highly enough.

The care also extended beyond my Mother in Law, as my Father in Law was also very well looked after, as were all the rest of the family. When my Mother in Law passed, she was treated with the utmost dignity and respect.

I must give praise also to the Management of the Home, as they have recruited some of the most caring, loving people that I have ever known.

The facilities at the home are first class, with all of the most up to date equipment.

We feel privileged that she was able to spend her last few days in such a caring environment.

Overall not very satisfactory. The home is very slow to respond to email requests. Does not proactively communicate and at times has been unhelpful in the care of our mum, e.g. 1) We can't currently move her into a wheelchair because all the staff are on a break. 2) It took a month to repair her TV.

My mother was a resident at Beechwood Grove for almost 3 years. During her stay I knew that she was being well cared for which was a great comfort to me since I live over 3,000 miles from Eastbourne and was only able to visit 2-3 times per year. The staff made great efforts to help Mum settle into Beechwood Grove and integrate her into the Beechwood Grove community and ultimately helped her through her failing health. The food, activities/entertainment, staff, and the building are top notch. The staff made sure that I was kept up to date with how Mum was doing and made me feel extremely welcome whenever I visited. Although it was a difficult decision to move Mum to a care home I am so grateful that Mum was able to reside there. I would recommend Beechwood Grove to anybody looking for a loving and well-run Care Home for a loved one.

After major surgery, it was obvious I would need a period of respite to help me get back onto my feet. My family visited Beechwood Grove, what a good idea, the moment I entered I felt completely relaxed and confident this was the place to be. The caring and kindness everyone has shown has been amazing, nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend it under any circumstance.

Right from the initial phone call to enquire about respite care for mum I just knew we were talking to the right people. From start to finish mum's well being has been at the centre of everything - the organisation of care was so straightforward and everyone was so welcoming, kind & caring. We can't thank you enough for helping mum get her confidence back.

I have been in many, many care home but without exaggerating this was the best.

However the crowning glory is the staff, they are wonderful, from the management, the nurses and care staff, the attention to detail and the care provided is tremendous. It cannot be faulted.

My wife is currently in Beechwood receiving respite care after spending a week in hospital following several falls. She is being cared for on the dementia floor. I cannot praise Beechwood enough. The care staff are wonderful - nothing is too much trouble for them. The activities are varied and of high quality run by a great team, which keep the residents stimulated. My wife has improved incredibly in the 2 weeks she has been there. The whole atmosphere is one of kindness, friendliness, professionalism and good humour. As I go in each afternoon I immediately feel uplifted. Well done Beechgrove!

Having reviewed and visited various care homes for my friend who is suffering from dementia Hastings Court gave the best impression. now she is a resident I can confirm that it has lived up to that first impression and I am thoroughly satisfied that my friend is getting the best possible care and her condition has improved

Our relative's stay at Beechwood Grove, for the last six months of his life, was a happy experience because all the people who cared for him were fabulous and tried their hardest to make him feel comfortable and appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble. When I was visiting, most days, our relative always uttered something positive about his carers "He is a good man," "She is lovely!" He showed his appreciation "I love her/him"; they found what our relative liked, were able to converse with him, even when he lacked words. The staff kept us regularly informed, were kind to his visitors. We have nothing but praise for Beechwood. Thank you!

In summery, this is a care home that I would 100% recommend to anyone, literally couldn't have wished for a better place for my lovely Mum to spend her final days in.

Food is well presented and meal times well supported with available staff to assist.

The care is good and staff are all approachable and happy to help. They treat everyone individually and know them well, treating them with respect and dignity.

There are plenty of appropriate activities if needed and plenty of social interaction with residents from all staff-carers, maintenence, cleaners,catering everyone.

It is never easy finding an appropriate care home, but would not hesitate in recommending Maplewood. Its like a hotel with care facilities and great friendly staff.

The staff really make this a good home

Maplewood is nothing short of exceptional. The facilities themselves are fantastic but what really makes this place stand out is the team there. Every person involved there always have time to speak to you and help you with anything. Not only that they treat the residents there with care, respect and dignity. Even at particularly challenging times they are always thinking of not only the resident but their families and what they can do to make their lives easier. I can not express my thanks highly enough to them.
