Beechwood Grove

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
After an exploratory visit to Beechwood Grove because of failing mobility and severe back pain I decided to take a 4 week respite break. This was organised at very short notice, but the management were incredibly helpful and supportive, even providing a wheelchair taxi at the last minute to help with
my admission. The home runs like one big extended family and the care is provided in a very kind yet professional manner. Moving away from home isn't easy, but the entire team have worked tirelessly to make me feel welcome and safe, and to offer support whenever I needed it.

Harpenden Springs Care Home has been exceptional. The team prepared thoroughly for Mum's arrival, and they were so welcoming to Mum and the family. There is a lovely positive vibe, and nothing is too much trouble. The care team are very transparent and addresses any issues immediately. The food and
activities are excellent. The maintenance team wonderful and the home is spotless.

Beechwood Grove

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Overall the care home offers everything I could want for mum. It's certainly within the top 3 care homes in the area, and while the other two are significantly larger, they lose the personalised, family feel that Beechwood Grove captures. There is very little staff turnover, which is essential for the
memory floor and reflects how staff members are treated and acknowledged for their care and hard work ethics. Everyone is charming and welcoming to visitors, from the front reception, chefs, housekeepers, management and the staff directly involved in mum's care. The care home manager has a fun playful side but also listens well to any concerns that may arise or suggestions for improvements that could be considered. Again, unlike other care homes BG''schedule of daily activities is varied and all residents are encouraged to participate. BG is more similar to a 5* hotel, and does not have the pungent smells so ofter associated with care homes. I'm happy to recommend.

From the moment we visited Elmbrook Court we knew it would be the right place for my mum.
The reception team were so warm and welcoming.

Even though it was a huge struggle for my mum, as she moved from her own home, therefore losing her independence. The staff were on hand to reassure her and they

made sure she was listened too.

The staff are always keen to help, listen and care not only about my mum but they care about us to.

It is still early days for my mum but I know she will settle in wonderfully.

I cannot praise all staff highly enough, this is from housekeeping right up to the management team.

Thank you

The level of care provided to our mother and what we were able to see during her stay was exceptional.
Everyone involved with her care as she came to the end of her days was caring, professional and experienced. They not only looked after Mum,they looked after us too. Nothing was too much trouble.
We
have no doubt that her stay at Elsyng House both improved the quality of her remaining time but also increased it giving us time.
The facilities are excellent and the attention to the care of the residents is second to none.

We cannot apeak highly of the team. Thank you!!!

We are so grateful as a family for the care and support that Elsyng House provided to our Mother (Judy) for her time there. Everyone from the medical staff, carers, caterers, cleaners and front of house were incredibly professional and caring throughout the 6 weeks that our wonderful Mother spent there
for end of life care. We are grateful for the extra time we were given with our Mother, which would not have been possible or as long, had they not been so professional and caring throughout. I hope in the future if I am in the same position as our Mum that somewhere as good as Elsyng House is available to me. We could not recommend this nursing home high enough.

I realised I needed a break being unable to go with friends due to age and physical slowness. I was welcomed on arrival and taken to a pleasant room that I was to use for seven days. It was a very helpful seven days. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful, taking my medications over while I stayed
with Osbern Manor. This was very unexpected this care was an added physical help. I live alone and care for myselft - I want to continue this but not to be foolish. Taking care provide contact if needed. My experience at Osbern Manor was enjoyable, invigorating and fun, and I am grateful for the experience.

My mother has received really excellent care and support since she arrived in Beechwood Grove in March, and particularly during her recent illness. The kindness of the staff and their timely medical interventions have made all the difference to her ongoing health and recovery. Mum says 'I feel cared

My mother came to the care home about a month ago. She has settled quickly and well and says she is happy. The family feel this is due to the care and dedication of the staff. Thank you! We like that all staff know and help with residents, such as maintenance, hair and reception. The rooms are comfortable
and are kept clean. We have been impressed with the range and breadth of activities: many we have enjoyed, as well as my mother. The meals and food looks good, varied and nutritious and the staff are always encouraging residents to drink. It is a huge relief for us that Mum is safe, engaged and well cared for.

Had a wonderful visit last week. We were greeted by a lovely receptionist who was very helpful and knowledgeable. Our dog was also welcomed and all the necessary paperwork for this was readily available. The other staff were constantly visible, friendly and looking out for clients and proactively looking

My family and I am very happy with the level of care my father receives in the dementia floor at Beechwood Grove. Without exception, all staff are kind and considerate, cheerful with a good sense of humour. The home feels buzzy and friendly. The communication, both internally within the home and to

It took mum a short while to settle, but with the help and support from everyone at the home, mum is more settled. The staff, including receptionists, entertainment staff, managers and carers, have gotten to know all the residents and they are all treated with respect, dignity, kindness and patience.
The home is spotlessly clean and well-maintained. Communication with family is good, we are kept informed, and I feel able to ask any questions. Thanks for the compassion you show every day.

I cannot speak highly enough of Hyllden Heights. From the moment my father moved in, the standard of care has been consistently excellent. The staff are truly outstanding-professional, attentive, and genuinely caring, which gives great peace of mind as a family member.
The home itself is spotless and
beautifully maintained, with an atmosphere that feels more like a five-star hotel than a care home. It is comfortable, welcoming, and finished to a very high standard throughout.
There is always a wide range of activities and things going on, which keeps residents engaged and adds to the positive, lively environment. The food is also above average, with good variety and quality, clearly prepared with care.
Overall, I would highly recommend Hyllden Heights to anyone looking for exceptional care in a clean, supportive, and truly impressive setting.

Both my parents developed dementia and refused proper care in their own home. A care home was the only option. We chose Hyllden Heights as it is near to our home, but it has been a great choice for other reasons too. The staff are really caring and genuinely take an interest in their residents and
they work hard to keep residents well fed, clean and entertained. My mum passed away a few weeks ago and the staff have been so kind to me and to my dad who remains with them. I can rest easy knowing that Dad is surrounded by people who look after him.

Osbern Manor has been a blessing to our family. The staff throughout the home which can only be described as "Hotel with Care"are professional, warm & genuinely caring. The home is spotless, the food for my Aunt Gwen was excellent, whilst the activities were in abundance. From the moment we found Osbern
we were reassured that this couldn't be beaten. Gwen was treated with real dignity & kindness & nothing was too much trouble. They gave us peace of mind whilst she was happy ,safe & well cared for. Their communication was examplary in all respects. We were impressed by the gardens outside which were nicely kept whilst some rooms have their own patio which lead into the garden , this Gwen loved . As far as all my family were concerned 5 stars aren't enough for Osbern Manor & we would have no hesitation in recommending this care home to anyone. We found every single member of staff to be an absolute credit to Osbern Manor, whilst we extend our gratitude to each & everyone employed there.
