My father has been a resident at Birchwood Heights care home at Swanley in Kent for over 2 years, and has enjoyed his stay there. The staff are amazing, I have never met a group of people who are so caring, if you gave them a score of 1-10 I would give them 1000. More recently my fathers heath has
got worse, but the care was exceptional, putting in monitors so that if he moved they would know to avoid falls, when his anxiety kicked in they spent quality time reassuring him and keeping him calm. Sadly he passed away a week ago, and the care and compassion that we received from the staff was amazing, they made sure that Dad was safe and we waited for the funeral directors to collect him. They team gave him a very emotional guard of honour out of the home..I was so happy we chose Birchwood Height and I would highly recommend them to anyone, they are all amazing and I will be forever grateful for the love and care they showed my father

Facilities are great. Lots of space in lounges etc. food in dining rooms was lovely. The staff are all brilliant. Caring and attentive
Unfortunately my mother in law was only in residence for 3 months before passing but really enjoyed it
I would recommend this home to anyone
Only issue was occasionally
a problem parking!

My grandmother has gone from strength to strength since moving into Maplewood back in Spring 2024 (after breaking her hip weeks before following her 90th birthday) and this is all thanks to the wonderful care and attention from all staff. Her medical needs were high when she first became a resident
so she was upstairs then once she was more mobile, it was suggested that she move downstairs where she thrives even more as she loves to sit and watch all that goes on. My grandmother is unique and the staff were quick to learn her ways and adapt how they deal with her. They are always friendly and there to speak to upon a visit. We visit regularly with our own young family along with the children we care for daily and are always made to feel welcome too. The residents have activities on daily and are always invited along but never pushed if they choose not to participate. She says she is enjoying her new home, is treated like royalty and with respect and does not wish to go home.

My mum has been a resident for 2 years and enjoys being with the other residents and socialising. She likes taking part in all the varied activities. The home is well designed and she liked the view from her window and being out in the garden. Her room is always kept clean and the staff are all wonderful
and supportive. She is treated with respect and dignity and I'm really happy with her care.

My wife and I came to Birchwood Heights in February 2024 and were very happy here but my wife passed peacefully away at the end of May 2024. We had been together since 1953 and a family of two boys and two girls all of whom are still close together and visit us here and very frequently and are known
and warmly welcomed by all the staff and management who comforted me and still do, following the sad passing here of my wife.

My parents moved to Birchwood Heights just over a year ago. Sadly my mum died a few months after moving in. I will always be grateful to the Birchwood Heights team for their care, but particularly supporting my dad after mum died. The team is/was very kind and caring. It is very reassuring to know he
is happy and safe.

Fantastic facilities and exemplary rooms and decor. Great location and lovely cafe for relatives and residents to use. Sadly the care and management did not reflect this standard. Whilst some care staff did go above and beyond, the way this service is managed really lets this placement down.

I would

have no hesitation in recommending this home for a relative who is self sufficient and able to look after themselves and join in most activities. But, this placement is not suitable for the criteria that they advertise, in particular nursing and advanced dementia. This is nothing more than and beautiful residential home. If you need proper personal care or nursing, look elsewhere.

We are disappointed to hear about your experience at Osbern Manor relating to your grandmother whilst she lived there with us last year.Unfortunately, there are times when a person's needs change and they can no longer be safely cared for in a particular setting, despite all efforts. The specific details around her care were discussed verbally and in writing with her Lasting Power of Attorney at that time.We are sorry that you feel the experience did not meet your expectations.

The Care home have been excellent. The staff are friendly and caring. Whenever there are issues, Mother has had a fall etc. they have been quick to contact the family, reassure us and advise us what they are doing and what we need to do. I cannot fault anything they have in the care of my Mother!

I cannot praise or thank Maplewood Court enough for everything they have done for my mum. The home is luxurious, clean and a real home from home, but best of all is the care that they provide. All the staff are friendly, approachable and really care for the residents. They have transformed my mum back
to her old self and for that I will be eternally grateful.
I would recommend this home to anyone. It's excellent.

From the first viewing we knew this was the place for my mum. We had looked at others (none has friendly) every member of staff was so friendly helpful and kind. The home visit to my mum house was lovely nothing was to much trouble, when my mum moved in to the home I couldn't believe how the staff already
knew her name. It took a couple of weeks for her to settle in but she loves it. Mum likes to sit in the Bistro and watch the world go round and everyone stopping for a chat. The activities are great they keep her mind going.

It was so important to find the best nursing care for my mother in law to cater for her physical, medical and well being care. From the first telephone call through to my mother in law arriving from hospital - it has been so smooth and reassuring. We really could not have found a more ideal home than
Maplewood Court. It is such a modern, safe and calming place where my wife and I plus daughter know our mother in law is being constantly supported. The wonderful rooms, lovely lounges and hotel feel to the whole environment helped my mother in law settle in. The absolute stand out is the truly amazing staff who focus on kind and thoughtful nursing and pastoral care. The wide range of restaurant standard food and menus has made my mother in law to re-love food again.

My Mum has been a resident at Maplewood Court for several years.
I visited several homes before my Mum moved into care and Maplewood was by far the best.
My Mum is so well looked after and all the staff are always welcoming when family members visit. The staff are very good to her and she always appears
to be happy considering she severe dementia and is bed ridden.
Id like to thank all the staff for all they do.

We really could not have found a lovelier home for our dear Mum than Maplewood Court. It is such a beautiful and therapeutic place to be, where Mum, and all of our family, feel valued and cared for. The staff are so kind, and we have the peace of knowing that she really is in the best of care. Mum
used to love going out to coffee shops, and so the 'Bistro' is a lovely area where we sit with her, and have a cuppa and a piece of home made cake. For many years, Mum liked to paint with watercolours, and a lovely lady who does crafts with the residents, has been helping her to begin enjoying her painting again, which is so lovely to see. We truly can't tell you how very thankful we are for the blessing that is Maplewood Court.

Our initial experience of Maplewood Court and their excellent staff team is very positive indeed. From the very first phone call we made as novices to this sector to where we are now, well informed and assisted at every stage to select appropriate care for my aunt.
My aunt, initially a reluctant
resident, was within a few short weeks at the hands of caring, friendly staff exercising their many skills to introduce her to the rhythms and activities of the home, settling beautifully and looks and feels much happier and healthier than when she arrived. She now feels involved and accepted by a good circle of friends and attends most activities, not to mention having her hair styled regularly and looking forward to the ministrations of the chiropodist. So much so we often find it difficult to catch her in her room when ringing her.
We cannot fault the care and the attention to detail in the home, all queries are dealt with speedily and followed up whenever necessary.

My dad has been at the care home for a few months. All staff seem friendly and kind, and they offer lots of different activities to the residents. The care home is well looked after, clean and welcoming to visitors and the residents. My dad likes it there and the staff are quite good. Feedback is taken
on board but not necessarily acted upon. Its very expensive, but they all are! It's better than the other care home he tried and they do look after their residents.
