The staff at Pear Tree Care Home are extremely helpful, caring and compassionate. Mum has been a resident for 7 months and in that time she's had all her needs attended to and gets lots of attention. They made a special fuss of her on her birthday, making her a beautiful cake. She has a beautiful bedroom with an en-suite shower room. She loves the meals which are freshly prepared by their own chef and kitchen staff on site. They have lots of activities and people coming in to visit, this home is a wonderful place for our Mum to be (she has Alzheimer's). We are very happy with it.
Thank you for your kind comments. Our staff love looking after your Mum. She is a wonderful part of our Pear Tree family.
My wife who suffers from dementia was made very welcome and soon settled in. Excellent carers, she was looked after and given attentive care during the two weeks that she stayed having respite care.
Thank you for your review, I am so pleased your wife settled well during her 2-week respite stay at Pear Tree House, please do not hesitate to contact us if we can support you again in the future. Thank you.
After viewing several care homes local to us we chose Pear Tree House for my mother-in-law to spend a couple of weeks respite to allow us time to visit friends. We were so glad that we did. Although we were nervous of our first trial of respite, we were so relieved to find that the experience was so rewarding. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and the environment so welcoming and pleasant. My mother-in-law was really well looked after in a bright, spacious room with ensuite facilities that perfectly suited her mobility issues. As a new build care home it is obvious that it has been designed with thought. The building is bright and airy with large hallways and very comfortable rooms. The communal areas throughout are well-decorated with a homely feel. Needless to say it is spotlessly clean and well maintained and managed. We have only positive things to say about Pear Tree House and would certainly recommend to any of our friends in a similar situation.
We appreciate your kind words and we are very happy that you have had a good experience of our services.
My mum came to live at Pear Tree House in July 2023. She has received excellent care and settled in straight away. All of the staff members are very caring. Myself and mum have no complaints whatsoever. It's a warm homely place. I know my mum is happy and content and I know she is very well looked after and cared for.
Thank you for your lovely comments. I will share them with the staff team. It is a pleasure to be able to look after your Mum.
All the staff - no matter what their role - are very caring and friendly. When we visit Dad, we obviously see how they interact with other residents and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them.
We also very much appreciate the cheerful welcome and kindness we are shown when we visit.
Unfortunately, Dad has had a few extra health issues of late and the attention and care he has been given has further confirmed to us that he is in the best place.
Since going to live at Pear Tree, Dad has started to sing - something he has never done before! It is very reassuring to know that he is in a safe, happy and friendly environment.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. It is very reassuring to know that our families feel that their loved ones are cared for but that they also see that others are too.
Everyone at Pear Tree House was considerate and welcoming; treating my mother with great care and respect. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home for any person in need of care. They were reactive to our need for support in a short timescale and went the extra mile to help us.
Thank you for your kind words. We hope you're mum is doing well and is enjoying all her family visits.
The staff and residents are well looked after. The staff are friendly, attentive, organised and go out of their way to help.
Thank you for taking the time to review Pear Tree House. Your lovely words mean a lot to us and we will share them with the team.
I have nothing but positive things to say about Pear Tree House. My dad has been living there for about 8 weeks now and he’s settled and happy. The staff are so kind and patient and treat my dad with respect and dignity. They have made what was a tough decision for me easier with the attitude they have towards the residents. The facilities are great and the food and activities organised are excellent. Feedback is important and monthly resident/family meetings are held which keeps all parties informed and involved in decisions. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pear Tree House as a home for a loved one.
Thank you for this wonderful review. Your Dad is a pleasure to look after and is a fantastic singer.
My wife has been in Pear Trees for since 27/12/23, and we have found the perfect place for her. The staff are brilliant, dedicated, caring and helpful to all the people staying in their care. Pear Trees is immaculately clean and is like a 5-star hotel. It’s such a pleasure to spend time there and join in the many activities and outings that they provide. I feel that my wife is in very safe hands. My sincere thanks to all the team.
Thank you for your lovely comments. They do make a difference to our team and their morale. We all enjoy looking after your wife.
Thankfully in December 2023 we found Pear Tree House.
This home is beautiful and clean as well as being managed impeccably.
All the staff go above and beyond to make the whole experience for my mum like home from home, whilst still maintaining a high standard of dementia care.
The menu offers choice and is always varied to a high standard thanks to the in-house chef.
Activities and entertainment have always been an important part of my mum's life, so the fact they provide an amazing activity coordinator was like music to our ears as a family.
My profession is within mental health so for me, getting it right for my mum was key.
In my opinion and on behalf of our family, I couldn't recommend this care home enough.
It has given our family the peace of mind that my dear mum is safe and looked after to the highest standard.
Thank you for your kind words. It is very important to us at Pear Tree House that our families are happy with the care provided as well as our residents. Your mum is a wonderful lady and a pleasure to care for.
I stayed for two weeks respite care following hip replacement. Best decision I could have made. I was able to get on with my convalescence without domestic concerns. Each and every member of staff was helpful, going the extra mile to support me. My ensuite room had everything I needed, with additional bonus of door out to garden patio area, great for stretching my legs. Great menu too. Thanks to all at Pear Tree.
Thank you for your lovely comments. It was a pleasure to look after you.
Pear Tree House is a delightful care home with a big difference, and aside from the beautiful decor, bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms and overall facilities, it is the staff who make the difference. Regardless of role, they are warm, welcoming, professional and always friendly - no matter how busy they are. It is clear that they know each and every resident's personality and needs, and as a family, we are always greeted by our names. The personal care staff are very attentive, patient and kind, with my father's care needs being assessed and carried out in an individual and respectful manner. He is always well turned out, his laundry is attended to daily, and the Housekeeping staff are very attentive throughout the facility. From a resident and family perspective, this is very reassuring. This is certainly not a care home where 'one size fits all'. Residents and families are encouraged by management to give feedback and any issues are addressed. Management is easily accessible, which is really appreciated.
The home itself is beautiful, extremely well-kept, very clean. The food is outstanding, well-presented and tastes wonderful.
Cannot fault this care home and feel it is the best place for my son.
Thank you for your wonderful review, we are so pleased your son has settled so well and you are both happy with the care he is receiving. Pear Tree Huse has given my mother absolutely superb care since she moved in August 2023. We were worried that she would find the move stressful but the staff made the transition very easy. The room is a good size and furnished superbly. In fact, everyone who visits asks if they can move in! I thoroughly recommend the house to any potential resident.
Thank you for your wonderful review, we are so pleased to hear your mother has settled so well at Pear Tree House, the whole team prides itself on delivering person-centred care and your review confirms the fantastic work they all do. We will ensure your feedback is shared with the whole team. Thank you.
All the carers are very attentive, kind and extremely helpful.
The residents are looked after and cared for in a respectful manner.
The home has a beautiful setting, all the rooms are decorated and maintained to a very high standard.
A large choice of varied meals are on offer, and the resident has a wide choice to choose from.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home, we very much appreciate all feedback to assist us to continually improve our service. I will share your lovely comments with the staff team.
The site manager hung some of my aunt’s pictures on the wall for us and the display unit has plenty of space for her favourite photos and ornaments.
She calls it her flat.
I am delighted how well my aunt has settled in and I look forward to my weekly visits to have lunch or dinner with her.

Outstanding home with outstanding care, I can’t thank the manager and her staff enough they have gone out of their way to make our mother feel Pear Tree House is her home, the food is excellent and all credit to the chef and assistant, a truly beautiful home.

As a family, we are so happy to have Mum settled in this beautiful home. The manager offered us such great support in navigating the processes and answering any questions. The home and its facilities are fantastic and the staff are great with Mum. They have settled her in and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. They genuinely care for Mum and that is what really matters to us. We leave Mum knowing that she is in great hands.

Luckily I spotted this newly built home, I was very interested straight away. Firstly I wanted to make sure the home would suit his needs. The care manager came to assess my brother without hesitation to put my mind at rest, she assessed my brother so the best care plan could be put in place. She explained the whole process, answered all our questions and provided all the information we needed. When I visited the home it is absolutely stunning, so homely, spacious, with beautiful rooms, and really well planned out. All the staff are very helpful, friendly and very professional, the communication has been fantastic with the care manager updating me every step of the way. They have all gone above and beyond to make not only my brother but us feel comfortable and to make my brother's move go as smoothly as possible. My first instinct wasn’t wrong. I couldn’t have asked for a better place for my brother to be cared for.
Thanks so much for this wonderful review. It means a great deal that you have taken time to post it and your kind words will be appreciated by all of the team. I will ensure that they are all copied into this review!
