We had moved our mum from a different care home and never regretted it. We would certainly recommend it to prospective residents.
Thanks again Lynn and team.
Thank you for your kind words, it was truly a pleasure looking after your wonderful mum. We do miss our little chats. I will ensure your kind words are passed to all the team.
Since Lynne took the managers position last year there seems to have been a positive change by the whole team and also changes in systems and processes supporting the day to day running of the home.
The caring approach of everyone has been especially evident in recent months as Mother-in-law's health worsened until she passed away recently.
Their care extended to us as well, asking how we were feeling and offering support.
Thanks again!
Thank you for the lovely review for Riverside Care Home. Your kind words about our team mean a great deal to us. It was truly an honour to look after your mother-in-law.
The home itself is modern, bright and clean whilst being warm and inviting - akin to patient's own home.
It is generally a quiet peaceful place where residents' needs are paramount. The full time nurses (night and day) are really on the ball, dealing with medical issues in an efficient and timely manner. A well-managed home, the team is approachable, reassuring and kind. I would recommend Riverside to everyone and would chose it again without hesitation. Truly outstanding care and a top job by everyone involved! Thank you.
Thank you for your lovely review it was a pleasure looking after your mum. It is nice to see that she is now able to return home to be with the family.
Riverside Care Home provided excellent care when my mum needed it most. Their care was efficient and gentle, which was just what my mother needed. It could have been a worrying time of change, but the Riverside staff made her feel safe and well looked after. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It is always reassuring to know that your loved ones are in safe hands. I will pass on your kind words to all the team.
My mother has been a resident at The Riverside for four years. Recent changes, following the appointment of a new manager, have transformed the home. The new manager's focus is very much on resident-centred care. She is friendly, professional and approachable. Under the new management there have been physical changes to the environment leading to more openness and better hygiene especially in the dining and living ares where new flooring has been installed. The ambience of the home is now of a quiet, peaceful place to live and be cared for in, a place where the needs and concerns of residents is central. My mother is fully compos mentis and is now able to control her own personal finances which has improved her self esteem and given her a degree of independence. I know my mother appreciates being listened to and we know that as family members we are kept informed at all times. Riverside is now truly a Home.
Thank you for your kind words. We're so pleased that your Mum feels at home at Riverside, and that the changes we have made have had a real difference for her and yourselves. It really means a lot to us. I will pass on your comments to Lynn, the Home Manager. She will be pleased to hear your feedback.
On arriving at Riverside my husband was greeted by the manager and many of the staff came to introduce themselves. The greeting card and fruit was a lovely surprise. The staff have all been kind and caring. The activities and events have been a great help to my husband who is now physically more active, and taking part too. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming as are the staff. The whole experience is so good and my husband is so much better at walking and interacting. The staff are also supportive of the families. Whoever looks after oral hygiene does a wonderful job. Thank you.
Thank you for your lovely review of Riverside Care Home. We are so pleased that you and your husband have felt so warmly welcomed at the Home. It is wonderful to see the great progress your husband has made since becoming a resident at Riverside and your comments regarding the kindness of the staff...
The staff are fantastic, kind, and caring and support and deal with Mum as a person.
Special mention to the activity coordinator and her amazing activities which together with the ongoing physiotherapy and round-the-clock nursing and care have really brought Mum on in leaps and bounds.
The food is amazing freshly prepared onsite and Mum is making friends with the other residents.
Overall Mum has settled into Riverside really well and this has been a massive relief to all the family.
Thank you, to the manager and all your team

Such a lovely care home and very clean. My Grandma felt so welcomed and relaxed here and all the staff we met were polite and friendly. Her room was spacious and very bright. Thank you for caring for Grandma so kindly.
Thank you for positively reviewing Riverside Care Home. We feel privileged to have cared for your Grandma and your kind comments about the cleanliness of the Home and and the friendly staff are very much appreciated. I will pass on your lovely comments to the team.
Viewed this care home for my mum along with my sister; the management & staff were very caring towards residents. Accommodation is excellent, and hygiene is perfect. Care & attention given by all staff is second to none & mum has been happy & very well looked after. Couldn't wish for a better place for our mum. She is a palliative patient at end of life & I don't know how we would cope with the heartache without the love of all the staff. Always have time to even make sure we're ok and go above & beyond any expectations. A happy home; love & thanks to all.
Thank you for your kind review of Riverside Care Home. I am so glad that you and your mum have felt well-supported during a difficult time for you all. We are proud of our team and we aim to support residents and families with love, compassion, and friendship so I am delighted that this has been your experience with us. I will pass on your lovely comments to the team.
The staff are compassionate and even the maintenance guy, laundry staff & cleaners have been so kind and friendly to Mum. It's lovely to see her old self coming through with them as they encourage her so much to feel confident and at ease. The nurses are fabulous and caring and knowledgeable and I have no worries about Mum's care whatsoever, it is such a relief to us all. She is eating so much better than when she was in hospital and that is a testament to the great food too.
Thank you for your lovely review of Riverside Care Home. We have all been so pleased to see your mum looking comfortable and feeling safe. Our staff are our greatest asset and it's wonderful that you and your mum have such faith and confidence in the team. Our shared values are Care Compassion and...
I viewed a handful of homes for my respite stay while my daughter went on a well-deserved holiday, the reasons I chose Riverside were clear to see, the cleanliness of the home is above and beyond, the staff were absolutely amazing and kind, they attended to all my needs and requirements, they showed dignity and respect, food menu had a great variety of choices and they would go out their way to meet your needs if there was something different you fancied to eat (which was fantastic as I wasn't great at eating meals at that time), I joined in activities which was lovely, I had a wonderful time staying there and I would recommend to others! Many thanks Riverside for your kindness and for making my stay comfortable. Your staff are amazing and I miss you all.

She has a lovely spacious room with ensuite facilities that are kept absolutely spotless. The home in general is very clean and modern.
Residents are encouraged to join in with an extensive activity programme to support ongoing cognition and social interaction, I love seeing the photos of Mum looking happy.
The care is very individual and takes into consideration past lived experiences. My Mum feels safe and secure within the familiar routine. There is always a member of the nursing team available if she has a worry and she can talk to them confidentially if she needs too.
Mum is always offered a choice at meal times and often something different if she prefers. I love to see the photos of Mum joining in and looking happy.
Thank you Riverside for taking such good care of my Mum - you are appreciated every day.

I've always found the staff to be very helpful and friendly with a high level of personal care and compassion to the residents. The staff are always there to assist with any issues or concerns. There are regular activities and guest entertainers at the home which my mum enjoys very much.
The most important thing is if my mum is happy there and feels safe and looked after and the answer is definitely yes.
Thank you for your thoughtful review of Riverside Care Home. Our staff are our greatest asset and your mum has certainly enjoyed the activities and entertainment on offer. I will pass on your kind comments to the team.
While she has been there she has received the best care anyone could wish for.
All of the staff are all first class and very professional in their work, they go over and above the call of duty to make the residents and visitors feel at ease.
The standard of hygiene is excellent and the rooms are all very comfortable and well equipped. Entertainment and activities are provided each day by both the staff and outside agencies. My nan lived at Riverside for 7 and a half years before she recently passed away. The care she was given was impeccable, the staff treated her as their own. I cannot thank the staff enough for all the love and care they gave my nan.
Thank you for your kind review of Riverside Care Home. We are so proud of our staff and I am delighted that you were pleased and reassured by the high standards of care and support they delivered. Your nan was a joy to care for and is sadly missed by all the team. I will pass on your lovely words to the staff.
Since being diagnosed with Alzheimer's Mum has settled into the routine of the home very well, what I personally like are the activities that my mum participates in daily, whether it be creating name tags through to dancing and singing. As a family, we especially like the daily pictures showing activities and participation for all residents. This means that all family members and friends alike have direct access to Mum's daily life. Staff are always busy helping out residents and laughing and singing along, it's wonderful to see Mum and everyone else's faces light up. Nothing is ever too much trouble, from offering treats in abundance and the one to one interaction is second to none. Riverside is always spotless and the food Mum really enjoys. Thank you!

Staff provide individual, emotional and physical support at all times of day, which in turn gives family members the reassurance that is needed when loved ones have to navigate their own particular journey.
For this reason, I most definitely would give Riverside and its wonderful staff 5*.

We aim to work in partnership with the loved ones of our residents so it is wonderful to hear that you feel reassured and confident in the care we deliver.
My cousin had been a resident of the Riverside Care Home only for a short while when she said to me "You know I think of my bungalow as my house, but I think of the Riverside as my home". My cousin has a daughter who has Down's syndrome and dementia and is in a care home suited to her needs. The staff at the Riverside have 'walked the extra mile' to make her daughter welcome there which has given both my cousin and her daughter pleasure and peace of mind. My cousin is very happy to live in Riverside.
Thank you for your lovely review. Our staff always try to demonstrate our values of care, compassion and friendship to the loved ones of our residents so we are delighted that your cousin feels that she is at home here and that her daughter is warmly welcomed by us. I will ensure that your kind remarks are passed on to the whole team.
This care home is lovely, very friendly and welcoming. It is very well-run and clean and smells lovely. The food is very good with plenty of choice and cooked well. The staff are very good, do anything for you and enjoy a good laugh and joke. It's like a five-star hotel.
I am so pleased you are enjoying yourself at Riverside. Friendship, compassion and care are our three core values at Riverside and I am pleased to see they are shining through by reading your review. As a team, we all work together to provide the best service we can offer. It is warmly reassuring...
