My mother has been a resident of Rossendale House for just over a year now. She is very well looked after and has a good relationship with all staff members. She has just celebrated her 100th birthday and I cannot compliment the staff enough for their kindness and thoughtfulness in making sure she had

This care home looked after me for a month in April & May of this year after I'd had a double hip operation.
It was a beautiful place and as they say it is better than lots of hotels I've stayed in. I was lucky enough to stay in one of the larger rooms on the front. The care staff couldn't do enough
for you. If I had to go in permanently this is the place I'd like to be although it is about 10 miles from my home town. I've never wanted to go into a care home but being there has helped me to know where I want to go if I get to not be able to stay at home.

The care that the staff afforded to my mother during her period of time as a resident and during her final hours was exemplary. They went above and beyond.
Her room was beautifully appointed and she was able to bring her favourite chair and she was allowed to hang paintings on the walls.
The food
didn't match the website's expectations. The home was aware of this issue and worked hard to resolve it.

Our relative was in a most beautiful suite with large airy bedroom and offset lounge with en-suite bathroom with bath and wet room shower - all incredibly clean and modern and stunning views over the moors, but much more important was the quality of the entire staff - from the senior managers through
the clinical care and cleaning staff there wasn't a single person who wasn't focused on the needs of the residents. There were some challenging behaviour in some of the residents always met with patience and forbearance and it never impinged on the non cognitively impaired residents. The meal times could be taken communally in beautiful dining rooms with other new friends or (as in breakfast) taken in the residents room. When our relative was taken very ill the community healthcare team supported the staff in the home so that no hospital admission became necessary. They do a superb job.

Mum was a resident at Rossendale House from May 2024 until she died there Sept 2024. The care she received throughout was superb and of the highest standard. I'm a health care professional and Chair of a hospice and I can guarantee the staff and facilities are incredible. The quality of facilities and
standard of staff are remarkable. The end of life experience and care given was superb. Many many thanks to everyone.

Garden party on Wednesday 21st of August. The carers treated the residents with respect and compassion. They treated the residents as individuals as they encouraged participation within each resident's comfort zone. The more vocal residents were treated with kindness, patience and humour. It can't be
easy to look after people with such diverse needs and I feel really lucky that my mum is being looked after by such a kind, capable and caring team. Thank you.

Rossendale House is an excellent home. The bedrooms/ensuites are bright, spacious, modern and clean. The food is amazing with plenty of choice. There are lots of fun activities in the comfortable lounge areas and relatives are always made welcome and encouraged to join in. There is a good ration of
staff and they are efficient and kind. Physically mum has improved 100% with such good 24-hour care. It has been a tremendous relief to find a home where I know my mother is safe and well cared for!

My mum has come on leaps and bounds since being a resident 9 months ago. She has made so many friends and has picked up new skills whilst living in her safe abode. The care staff are fantastic with her and always have time for mum. The Housekeepers are excellent at their work. The home is spotless and
mum’s room is turned down every day. The head chef and her colleagues produce outstanding food, plus even do requests from the residents. The Front of House is very warm and welcoming, again nothing too much trouble. It’s a lovely community mum has here, as she was by herself a year ago with no visitors apart from carers 30 minute visits every day. Now she is a new mum with a brand new outlook on life. Thank you to all the staff for their hard and outstanding work.

My mother is a resident at Rossendale House Care Home. She has been staying there for 5 weeks. She was made very welcome by the staff and other residents. She has developed some true friends. The staff are wonderful, the events are laid on regularly and are great. Open days and guest singers.
All
areas are spotlessly clean. Mother loves the food and the atmosphere does not feel like a care home it feels warm and friendly.

The staff are loving, upbeat and welcoming. My mother is always treated with dignity and is well cared for. The environment is wonderful. Medicine and GP appointments are handled very well. There is a mix of mature and younger staff and they are all English speaking. Very positive overall. We are happy

Excellent care home. We searched for several years to find the perfect care home for our 94-year-old mother. Rossendale House was certainly worth the wait! Beautiful surroundings. Tastefully and thoughtfully decorated rooms. Our mother's room looks out onto a garden terrace which she used almost daily
during the summer months. Everything is kept in tip-top condition with a friendly cleaning team who pop in on a daily basis. The food is homemade and completely delicious.
The carers are absolutely brilliant! An example of this would be when Mum had a fall. The carers immediately went into protocol mode and oversaw all aspects of her care. We were particularly impressed with one of the carers who stayed several hours beyond her shift to ensure that all was well. Above and beyond typical care. Management has been receptive and proactive to any and all requests. Highly recommend Rossendale House!

Mum has been a resident since May of this year. I visit at least once a week and believe that I have met all the carers.
I can honestly say that they all strike me as genuine caring professionals. I have noticed the frequency with which they check on Mum, and anticipate care items that need to be attended
to. Mum loves the food (absolute quality, which I can personally attest to). There is also a general feeling of space and light, which I believe lifts the general mood.

Having not been on holiday for twelve months, my husband and I were desperate for a break but needed to ensure my mum was looked after in order to be able to relax and enjoy our break. From the initial visit to Rossendale House Care Home followed by taking Mum up for coffee and care and a look around,
I felt certain she would be cared for and treated with compassion and dignity and she has certainly been so well looked after and enjoyed her stay and has said she would go back and stay again which is so nice to hear. A big thank you to everyone there - what a team.

I have worked in the care sector for nearly 30 years. My passion for this work began in childhood when my grandmother owned a care home, and I loved visiting the residents and listening to their stories about their own childhoods.


Over the years, I have gained extensive experience in both dementia and residential care, with a strong commitment to ensuring that the well-being of those I care for remains at the heart of everything we do.


My favourite part of working in this sector is seeing residents enjoy themselves and achieve things they never thought possible, whether through activities or learning new skills. I take pride in planning activities that are meaningful and tailored to each individual’s needs.
