I would like to commend Sandmere's housekeeper who made no fuss & did an excellent job of cleaning up my Dad's room following an accident last week. It was much appreciated. I felt powerless to help as I had nothing suitable to use but she assured me that it was her role and no bother at all. She was
quick, efficient & managed to remain upbeat & jovial throughout - which I would have struggled to be in her position!! She was a real superstar and SO professional and I would like to thank her.

I came in for 3 weeks respite care following a foot operation. Only open for 6 months there are a few teething problems. I could see that in time everything would be excellent. I have recommended Sandmere to lots of friends who visited me and could see for themselves what an excellent home it is.

My aunt is currently in Sandmere care home. She is very poorly. The care she is receiving is excellent. The staff are very professional and compassionate.

We visited Sandmere for a birthday celebration for a resident. We didn't see any residents rooms or experience the normal meals. However, we were warmly welcomed on arrival, the staff we saw were friendly and helpful, the home was impeccably clean and well-presented. Overall, a very pleasant environment.
The resident seemed very happy with his stay. We were impressed to hear how the home provides a birthday cake of the residents choice, and about how they organised activities to suit the residents. Overall, very impressed.

Our family are really happy with Sandmere: the care Dad receives is brilliant and warm, the home feels like a home and is finished to a great standard.
I love sitting on the patio with dad looking at the garden having a cup of tea. I also love being able to book to eat meals with him as eating together
is important, today we had a birthday lunch for dad in their private dinning room which felt very special.
I looked at a number of care homes in the area and am very pleased that we picked Sandmere

I cannot fault the care I received in the 3 weeks of respite I've even here.
I have learnt a lot about how special the people are that do this work.
Also, the food here is excellent. If I need care again I wouldn't hesitate to come here again.

We have found the staff at Sandmere to be very friendly and helpful and they try extremely hard to meet all of Dad's wishes. They hare been proactive regarding his health issues and have secured tests and treatment that have improved his quality of life and wellbeing.
The room is always comfortable
and warm and the facilities are lovely. The staff all try very hard to facilitate Dad's hobbies in the garden area which he takes great pleasure in.
Communication with all the team has been very accessible so far.

This home is very good, friendly, relaxed warm and welcoming. Hopefully activates will grow with the residence Overall a good job is done but feel sometimes a bit repetitive, although great effort is made. Sometimes information between staff doesn't seem to be relayed but overall the staff are attentive,
loving and caring. This home is still in the progressional process but I am very happy with Mums care.

The care my mum is receiving is absolutely phenomenal and I could not be happier.
I never thought I would have to place my mum in a nursing home and after a lot of emotions and feeling very guilty it had to be done.
My mum is settling well and the staff are professional and also friendly.

My cousin was cared for by the staff at Sandmere Care Home for a short while before her death. From the first contact with the home, to moving her in and then to caring for her in her last few days, everyone was so kind and understanding. They showed great empathy and patience and kept me informed.
They also accommodated numerous visitors and when she was on her own, sat with her themselves. Thank you.

Jacqui brings a wealth of experience having almost 20 years experience as a care home manager and having achieved a rating of Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission on two occasions. Qualified as a Registered Nurse Jacqui had a long and successful career in the NHS, before transferring her nursing and managerial skills into the world of care home management.
