My mother-in-law has been a resident of the care home since January 2022. There have been many issues that needed to be resolved. A new manager has recently taken over and put lots of measures in place that has significantly improved the home. Mother-in-law is now clean and well cared for. The manager
and senior staff are always on hand to answer any concerns we have.

My father was a resident here for several months and I cannot praise it highly enough. Rooms were always clean. Food was clearly homemade and plentiful. Dad was kept neat and tidy and well cared for. The staff are lovely. Towards the end of dads life he was treated the same, still washed and personal
care every 2 hours. We were allowed to stay with him for the end and staff also checked our well-being as well as dads and kept us fed and watered. I felt dad was loved and cared for until the end.

Mom moved into Tanworth Court in March 2021. It was a very emotional time for all of us, especially Mom. The carers (staff in general) were so helpful and supportive. It made the process so much easier. As a family, we feel Mom is well cared for. She is well-fed and always clean and tidy. Her room is
spacious and clean with a lovely bathroom and TV.

Overall, I am very happy and comfortable with the overall care provided for my mother at Tamworth Court. On the odd occasion, I have had to complain about minor issues, such as personal items going missing and never being returned. Mam seems very happy at Tamworth Court compared to previous care homes.
Tamworth Court is a very nice, clean and friendly place.

I have visited my Dad for the first time today since his recent admission. First impressions are
good. Dad was cleaned and dressed, sitting in his nice room. The staff I spoke to were helpful and friendly. I look forward to bringing my children to visit Dad in the lovely garden.

My auntie looks well. Thank you for all that you do. She loves looking out of the window, but sadly, not much to look at. Thought maybe bird feeders would be a great addition to the outside space.

The difference in our mother's health between the time she entered the home to just a few weeks later, is tremendous. When she needed help most, they were there ensuring that she had the best care. The staff stayed after normal hours, to ensure her safety and wellbeing. As a testament to their actions,
we still have our mother with us. We cannot say thank you enough.

My mother was a resident here and I am glad she is finally out of this disgusting place. Firstly, the rooms don’t look like they have ever been cleaned. The carpets and furniture are filthy. There’s a general lack of care for residents and the staff doesn’t seem to care about the residents on any level.
On the rare occasion, I was allowed to visit, I heard a resident screaming for help and he was ignored by staff. My mother’s medication was not administered correctly or consistently and her dietary requirements were ignored making her more unwell. The non-nursing staff, and in particular one of the receptionists are obnoxious and confrontational for no apparent reason. The visiting regime is bizarre as you can only see residents when it suits the care home and there’s clearly an element of trying to appear better than the reality. A number of my mother's possessions went missing oddly the most expensive ones including £2000 worth of medical equipment. This place should be shut down by CQC.

My Dad is in Tanworth Court at the moment. The staff overall treats him with the utmost respect, care and love. As his daughter, I am devastated that I couldn't visit due to Covid but I know he is in fabulous hands. There was one member of staff that stood out to me and my mom for going above and beyond,
facetime calls when we asked for them. If we had a problem, she sorted it as soon as we asked. She comforted my mom on the phone when my Mom broke down, she didn't have to. She always has a smile on her face, making my dad laugh and guiding him on how to use facetime. We miss not seeing Dad regularly but knowing there are carers like her in there, makes the whole situation a bit better. She is an amazing woman for all she does and I bet my dad isn't the only one lucky enough to be in her capable hands.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.354)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.354) out of 10 for Tanworth Court Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 10 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 10 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.771 for Tanworth Court Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (95 Excellents x 5) + (19 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 118 Ratings = 4.771
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.583 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Tanworth Court Nursing Home is based on 10 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.75
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12. 10 Positive Reviews ÷ 12 = 0.833
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
