Having been discharged to the care of the unit, I found the staff all pleasant and knowledgeable. Not only did they make me feel welcome but safe and allowed to personalise my room with trinkets from home. Not only were they kind and generous with their time and energy to me but to my husband also.
Thank you to all the staff for your care and professionalism in dealing with complex issues.

On my first visit I was shocked to find the bell was broken and only existed by a hole in the wall. Check in was complicated for anyone not used to a screen. My friend's care was generally good as I saw it. My concern would be lack of support to move forward with mobility and resulted in a brief visit
once per week.

Outstanding care provided by very caring staff. Nothing is too much trouble. The premises are very clean. The food is first class including the lovely fruit cake.

The staff at The Grange have been there for my mother during her time in respite. The homemade cooking was excellent and Mum enjoyed her meals. The care staff would go check on her and get her so that she could do stuff on her own ready to go back home. The staff were always friendly on arrival and
if I asked them for any information they always came back with a reply. I would recommend The Grange to anyone needing help to get them back on their feet.

Mum has only been in The Grange 6 days so far following a hip replacement at 90 years old but I can honestly say nothing is too much trouble. The staff are very hard working, loving/caring and very very friendly, (Like part of the family).

The assistant manager who was on during the week was very
helpful and reassuring as to what would happen regarding physio and daily rehab, a lovely person who put our minds at rest and also the lovely way she helped Mum when needed. The room is good with a great spacious ensuite bathroom and now with her own flowers and cards and a few photos in place feels homely.


The food is very plentiful/good filling delicious meals and lots of cups of tea and cakes etc. Anything Mum has asked for at breakfast, tea time or even supper has so far been fulfilled, she even got her hair done today making her feel more like her normal self.


So pleased mum is now getting mobile, well fed and very happy.

Father-in-law went into The Grange following being in hospital (whilst I was abroad). I didn’t know what to expect when I got back, but when I first entered the facility, my first impressions were that it didn’t smell like care homes I had been in before, and that it had a warm, welcoming feel. I soon
discovered that all staff members there were superb. They were caring and patient with him and quickly developed rapport, earning his and the families trust. And the food! Father-in-law loved it, he was eating cooked breakfasts, roast dinners, puddings - the lot. When it was time to leave, although we were all impatient and anxious to get him home, there were also mixed feelings too. He had felt safe and valued by the staff in there and he, and us, would all miss them. I would certainly reassure other people whose families were about to go into The Grange that they shouldn’t worry and that their loved ones would be well cared for.

When I have visited my partner, every day I feel most of the staff have been helpful, to my partner and myself and are very supportive. When my partner is having a bad day the staff will give her a lot of support.

The staff looked after my brother very well. They cared for his needs and also I got on with the carers very well. Thank you to all concerned. On entering the premises my first time of visiting, I was made to feel very welcome.

Not the smartest-looking facility when you arrive. The rooms were bright but basic. However, the staff were so caring and friendly, our family member settled in immediately. The food was home-cooked and enjoyed by the patient. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Not suitable for anyone with Parkinson's. Promise of physio after a hip break, none done. In bed 24/7, only young people in attendance. Cannot speak to management, always otherwise occupied, say they will ring back, they don't.

What an amazing place. My mum was made to feel comfortable from day one. She needed complex care which was given plus so much more. Special mention should go to three members of staff and the cook. They looked after us as a family and I really couldn’t have asked for anything more. Couldn’t recommend
them enough. Thank you so much for everything. You made a very difficult time much easier to deal with.
