Norwood has always been a lovely place, but there was room for improvement and the recent changes by new management have really made a difference! It now truly feels like a home from home. The food is great, the activities are enjoyable and staff are so caring and attentive.

My Dad was discharged from hospital into Norwood House for respite care in autumn 2025 and ended up being a permanent resident until he sadly passed away in January 2026. The staff at Norwood have been incredible throughout, laughing and joking with Dad and taking him out, doing activities and generally
making his last few months enjoyable while maintaining exemplary levels of care. Their compassion at the end was wonderful and made a difficult time for the family as easy as possible. A lovely setting and building and the food always smelled amazing when I was visiting! Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a care home for a loved one, no better choice in the area.

Everyone has been so kind and helped me to keep my dignity in very difficult situations. Nothing has been too much trouble for them and they have been keeping my spirits up by reassuring me that I'm doing well, two ladies in particular have made sure I get exercise and have encourage me to keep going
when its been difficult I will be ever grateful for all the help from everyone. The lady who cooks the meals has always made sure I'm happy with my meals and always makes time to have a little natter with me. Thank you everyone.

I went to view this facility mid October
After a five minute introductory chat , I was given a tour of the facilities offered ,the bedrooms all had en-suite and were tastefully decorated with ample floor space
I found it very refreshing that residents have 3 different communal areas where they
can could watch television, enjoy music or just relax in quiet contemplation .
The staff appeared to engaged positively with the residents
The following day the manager came to our home to introduce himself to our family member (who was reluctant to visit the nursing home )
This proved to be a very positive and enjoyable experience. The manager listened carefully to any concerns and answered all questions with great consideration for our family members physical and mental needs.
The dedication and commitment shown by the manager, was outstanding and a credit to Norwood House facility
This meeting was such a great success, that we are going to visit with our family member tomorrow .

The senior carers were particularly good, Claire especially. The cook took particular attention to residents needs and her food was very good - excellent corned beef hash! Mother-in-law didn't like carers talking over her in a language other than English, she found it quite distressing.

I stayed in the Grange following a fall at home. During my stay I found all the staff to be very kind and friendly. I received help a support when needed. My room was clean + tidy and all my personal needs were taken care of. My daughter supported me during my stay and the staff were very happy and
willing to deal with any queries or concerns she had. Everyone made my stay a happy experience and I can't thank everyone enough for everything they did for me.

We as a family my mum and myself and two sisters would like to say Thankyou for the great care given to our father. He came for a stay for rehabilitation was in #RM 3
The place is clean, tidy, he enjoyed the meals food looked lovely, the staff were all great, friendly, welcoming, helpful, and looked
after our dad well. Special hats off the two male staff, who always shaved dad, these two were excellent guys and dad always said how well they cared for him. He sat in lounge with some lovely residents and had some laughs, he enjoyed his stay,. Thankyou all for your kind, caring support, dad is continuing to improve slowly. Will recommend The Grange. Nice, clean, good food and residents looked after well. Thankyou to all staff you do a fabulous job.
