Over all time Yarnley House Care Home has 24 reviews.
As a modern, purpose-built home, Yarnley House really excels. It feels less like a care home and more like a luxury home with superb food and first class activities.
What stands out most, however, is the atmosphere. Despite the impressive facilities, it never feels institutional. Instead, it feels warm, calm, relaxed, and above all, dignified. It feels like home.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Yarnley House. It is in a league of its own compared with all others I have seen
Thank you for sharing your experience of Yarnley House Car Home, we pride ourselves in striving to provide the highest quality of care. It is an honour to be caring for your Mother.
I cannot say enough about the kind and loving care that we all experience at Yarnley House Care Home. As soon as we entered the home we were embraced with warmth. All the nurses and staff were full of gentleness and understanding. There is such a sense of joy ad peace throughout Yarnley House and that is due to the people who work there. Our family are truly grateful and feel so blessed by so many at Yarnley House.
Thank you for your heartfelt feedback Justine. We are truly grateful for your kind words and are so pleased that you felt welcomed, supported, and cared for from the very beginning. Your appreciation means a great deal to our whole team.
My husband has been a resident at Yarnley House for nearly a year now. It wasn't a move that was anticipated and overall it has been a very positive experience. The staff are exceptional at all levels and make my husband and I feel like "family".
Thank you for your lovely feedback Brenda. We understand that moving into care can be an unexpected transition, and we are so pleased to hear that your experience has been a positive one. It means a great deal to our team to know you feel like part of the Yarnley House family.
Very good experiences from every member of staff. Wonderful birthday experience (101)- Thank you all.
Thank you for your lovely feedback David. We are delighted you had a wonderful experience, and it was an absolute pleasure to celebrate such a special 101st birthday with you.
My mother came into Yarnley House Care Home having just lost my father after seventy six years of marriage. All of the staff have been absolutely excellent and have shown my mother first class care, kindness and support. The care home itself including the food, accommodation, and facilities also excellent.
Thank you very much for writing such lovely words about our Home, it is our pleasure and honour to care for your Mother.
As a family, we cannot express highly enough about the care, compassion and professionalism that our beloved father received at Yarnley House. Although our Dad was only a resident for the last 2 weeks of his life, after being admitted for his end of life care, we were instantly welcomed and made to feel, as a whole family, at home and also looked after, by the warm and incredibly friendly family of staff. As a registered nurse myself, I recognise good care, not only from a clean environmental aspect, but also from a high standard of care delivery, ensuring Dad was comfortable and pain free, with all of his needs constantly reviewed and managed. At an extremely distressing time for us as a family, seeing Dad so well looked after and so genuinely loved and cared for by some of the friendliest staff I've ever encountered, was of extreme comfort for us during our grief process, knowing that everything that needed to be done, was done to the highest standards. We cannot thank you enough
Thank you so much for your lovely words about our wonderful staff and Home, it was our absolute honour to care for your Father.
This home is a breath of fresh air. The whole building is light, spacious and you get a warm welcome from everyone.
The staff are very professional, friendly and caring.
I would recommend this Care Home to anyone.
Thank you for such a lovely review and description of our Home. It is our honour and pleasure to take care of your Mother In Law.
The staff are truly exceptional-kind, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile, treating every resident with dignity and respect, taking the time to understand individual needs and preferences. It's clear that caregiving here isn't just a job; it's something they deeply care about.
Yarnley House is spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed to feel like a real home rather than an institution. There are always engaging activities taking place, encouraging social interaction, creativity, and joy. It's wonderful to see residents smiling, laughing, and genuinely enjoying their days.
Communication with families is excellent, with regular updates and an open, reassuring approach that builds trust and confidence. Knowing your loved one is safe, happy,
Thank you so much for your kind words about our lovely home.
All the staff are caring and supportive, not only to the residents, but also to any friends and family members who visit. At present Mum has capacity & is able to voice her concerns, but I feel extremely confident that should things change for her she will be treated with the upmost care & consideration.
It is our absolute pleasure to look after your Mum, thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review of our home.
The facilities are first class and the staff are both professional and friendly. Nothing is to much trouble for them and mum gets the level of support and care she deserves in her later years.
Having looked around a number of homes at the end of 2025, I must say Yarnley House stands head and shoulders above all the ones we visited in Dorset and Hampshire.
A special shout out to the activities team sho make the social life of Yarnley so much fun for the residence.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such lovely comments.
Everytime we visit my grandmother in law we are always greates with smiles and they allow my children to sign in on their sheet and help them get things in the right order! We are always remembered too which is nice as I know we don't go often. We love how they interact with our family member and how they encourage them to get involved. She is doing really well there and gets involved with some of the activities that go on. It's got such a warm feeling.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback on Yarnley House Care Home, we love seeing visitors with their family members and look forward to welcoming you again soon.
I am really pleased with the care my Nanna gets. She is well looked after, encouraged to be active and the staff are always welcoming and friendly when I've been visiting. The room is comfortable and a good size with all she needs.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments. We enjoy and are honoured to support your Nanna.
We have just settled my mum into Yarnley House for respite care and have been impressed by the homely feel and the high level of care she has received since leaving hospital. It is very reassuring to see staff who understand her needs.
Thank you so much for your lovely words, it is our pleasure to look after Mum.
At last I can relax and know my mum, who has dementia, is receiving the best possible care for her. It has been a difficult few years finding the right home for my mum as she can be challenging. The staff have gradually built a trusting, caring and fun rapport with her which she is responding to so well. She is happier and healthier than she has been for a long time. Nothing is perfect in this kind of environment because of the requirement to cater for so many different needs but I believe this is as good as it could be. It is new and in the process of fully establishing itself but I couldn't be more happy. There is a lack of activities but I believe this is being addressed.
Thank you for your very positive comments about your Mum's care and about the whole team at Yarnley House. We are very pleased you chose us as your Mum's new home. It is our pleasure to look after your Mum,
I visited my sister in law and her husband with my husband + had the use of the family room for lunch. My sister in law requires assistance in going from her wheelchair to be dining room chair and we had too assistance helping her to go from the wheelchair to the dining room chair and are helping her to eat.
Thank you for your kind review and we were delighted that you were able to be all together to enjoy some quality time and it was our pleasure to have accommodated you for a meal in our beautiful private dining room. We love having family and friends in the home and look forward to seeing you again soon. Best wishes
I commend ALL the staff on their professionalism in every field.
Yarnley House is a very happy place to be a resident in and if I ever have to go back I would have no hesitation in doing so.
Thank you for taking the time to post your lovely comments. We're so pleased to hear that you find our home a happy place to reside and all the staff were professional. We always strive to maintain a comfortable and pleasant environment for both residents and their families. You would always be very welcome back at Yarnley House.
We would like to a big thankyou to all the staff who looked after our mum. She has been well looked after and her room was always clean and tidy and she enjoyed her food as it is all cooked on site. Mum also enjoyed chatting to the other residents and she made some friends. I chose the home as it is close to her home and not far for my sister to visit. While in the home she was able to have her hair done by a local lady who did a very nice cut and blow dry. I would highly recommend this home and would gladly have mum stay there again. The bedrooms are very clean with an on suite. Nothing was to much trouble.
Thank you for taking the time to post your lovely comments which are greatly appreciated by the whole team, especially those who helped care for your Mother during her stay. Your mum is always very welcome at Yarnley House.
Our mother settled into Yarnley House very quickly and has been very settled and content there ever since. Each member of staff has shown the highest level of care towards her and done their utmost to make her happy and comfortable.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us feedback about your Mum's, and your experience of Yarnley House. It continues to be our pleasure to care for your Mum and we are pleased that she is so happy here as well as you and the family are in her living with us.
The care at Yarnley House has been exceptionally good. My dad has been cared for extremely well, and with dignity and kindness. All of the staff, including nurses, carers, cleaners, administrators, caterers, are very competent, sensitive and responsive, and there is a nice atmosphere in the home. The quality and upkeep of the building is first-rate - the home is very new and is equipped with very high-quality facilities, furnishings, etc. Overall, the experience has been very good, which has been a great comfort at a difficult time.
Thank you for your very lovely review. The staff work really hard to ensure the care is delivered to the highest standard.
Our mother moved into Yarnley House on Monday 30th December. This is her, and our, first experience of residential care. Although 102, living with Dementia and quite frail, she is fiercely independent and we were not anticipating such contented reactions as she has shown to the staff's care, not to mention the home's facilities and other residents, all of which have been positive. So a huge thank you to all involved, from designers to on-the-ground staff. It's a great place, well done.
