My husband started at Mills Meadow in April 2026 having been highly recommended by a neighbour. It is an excellent Day Centre. The Manager was so friendly, welcoming, understanding and knowledgeable on his taster day and is helpful to me too. She cares for and supports the family as much as the person attending. I am not the only one to go into her office in tears, come out feeling a lot better. All the staff are lovely & have got to know my husband. £60 per day (including a 3 course lunch) is worth every penny.
Mills Meadow Club is a lifeline for us, my husband has dementia with Lewy Body and life can be very challenging when we are together all the time. The day he goes to the club is the only time we are apart to do something different. I know my husband is well cared for there, safe at all times, entertained fed and amused. I can also go for coffee with friends or do my own thing and not have to worry about him.
My mother attends the day centre at Mills Meadow. I have been very impressed with the care and professionalism of the staff. It is a chance for her to talk to different people and take part in well coordinated activities. Overall we have been very impressed with everything the day centre has to offer and would very much recommend it.
I arrived to pick up mum unannounced, I was welcomed in, taken to mum and was made to feel very welcome, whilst I waited, staff continued their work. They showed respect and kindness towards all the residents in the day centre. They were professional in their interaction with all, including other staff colleagues. The general atmosphere feels relaxed, unrushed, friendly and safe. The environment is clean, bright and airy, decoration is in good order. Mum enjoyed her lunch and could have more if she wanted. It is so good to know that its always a positive day which mum enjoys. Thank you.
My husband was very reluctant at first but the warmth and kindness shown by all the staff always win him over. I looked at all the photos on line and he is laughing and really enjoying himself. Such a variety of activities which are so beneficial great exercise but still really good fun! Well done everybody!
My mother attends Mills Meadow three days a week. During March she has received excellent care. The activities have been fun, stimulating and have had a positive impact on her overall mental and physical health. The carers are kind, professional and provide individual attention to everyone attending. The three course lunches have been delicious and nutritious and my mother enjoys them very much. A big thank you to the staff at Mills Meadow.
Our mum had become very lonely since her neighbour died. Mills Meadow was recommended to us. Mum absolutely loves it. Her favourite days are when she attends. The staff are so kind, caring and understanding of those who need care and friendship. Variety of activities for everyone, visits and outings! I cannot fault the service given.
My husband suffers from dementia and has been going once a week and recently twice a week. He loves it and really looks forward to going. He thoroughly enjoys the activities and says lunch is first class. He certainly enjoys the company and I would have no hesitation in recommending The Mills Meadow Club.
The daycare service my husband receives is excellent. He loves his time at daycare. The activities they do. He is very happy going and on returning home. The staff are kind, caring and supportive with his difficulties. Highly recommended.
Attending The Mills Meadow Day Club has been a transformation for my partner who has moderate Alzheimer's. This has become the highlight of her week, starts talking about it the day before and returns home with more confidence and a much more positive persona. The staff at the club are all marvellous being cheerful and very helpful and somehow transfer this spirit into my partner. She loves coming to the club which is having a bigger impact on her well-being than the pills that are prescribed for her.
My husband has been attending The Mill Meadow Day Centre for a number of months. From the very first visit, the staff have made us extremely welcome and have put my husband at ease.
My husband has been very happy coming to the Day Club twice a week he enjoys the company and even joins in the activities. He loves the meals and even sits at the table with the other club users which is something he refuses to do at home, he has a table in front of his sofa. The day club manager and staff are wonderful they encourage him to go to do activities and craft work. He has something to look forward to each week and also has things to tell his family. He likes the pictures they take.
Very experienced staff. Totally dedicated service providers, amazing activities that are focused on individual needs and abilities. Clean light environment. Lovely garden area. Wonderful food. Services users are happy. I cannot fault this service.
Caring, supportive, flexible and friendly. High quality of care.
Going to The Mills Meadow Club has put a smile on Mum's face. She feels cared for, safe and secure whilst having fun and games and lots of chat with both staff and residents. Thank you!
My husband has has logopenic Alzheimer's and aphasia, which has robbed him of intelligible speech, though he still wants to talk to people. He is also very anxious when away from me. The staff at The Mills Meadow Club have been so good at communicating with him, identifying his interests, and providing a warm and reassuring environment. I really value having a few hours to myself whilst my husband is in good hands.
I have been going to The Mills Meadow Club for a few weeks now and find the staff to be really helpful and make my day very productive and full of fun and laughter. They are always smiling and nothing is too much trouble for them. We have an excellent three-course meal and many teas and coffees, as well as biscuits and cakes which are really delicious. It gives me a chance to meet others who have similar problems to me. It also gives my wife the opportunity to visit family and friends which, for her, is a lifeline and very helpful for her as well. I will certainly continue going.
I cannot speak highly enough of The Mills Meadow Club. The staff are very professional and so kind to everyone. I feel happy leaving my dear husband at The Mills Meadow Club, knowing he is being looked after so well and I have a few hours to myself.
They have worked hard to make the person happy so that he is always keen to go on Thursdays. This is a great help to me as his full-time carer. Thank you very much for giving me a chance to please myself for a change.
I have been going to the centre for over a year and the staff and managers are excellent. The care is so lovely and they are very good.

It was the highlight of my career to be named manager of the Mills Meadow Club and I’m determined to make it a happy, inviting place for local older people to meet. We treat everyone as an individual and take the time to finding out what they like to do and organise enjoyable activities to suit everyone.
Our day club is a great way for older people living independently to get together and enjoy meaningful activities for as long as they wish. At the Mills Meadow Club we’re all about making people smile, supporting them to have fun, and ensuring that they always go home having had a fulfilling day.
