Weavers Court is residential care. It provides good support to allow independent living. The carers are are friendly and helpful. The accomodation allows enough space to make a home but not so much space it is unmanageable.
Reply from Kirsty Forster, Manager at Weavers CourtThank you for taking the time in completing the review. It's really important for us to support tenants to be independent. As you know we value your feedback and ongoing support.

Although the carers are friendly and kind I find they do differed somewhat in the time and attention they spend on my medical needs. The carers that spend more quality time on it prevent the problems from re-occurring again which is obviously much appreciated.

My mum has been in Weavers Court for almost 2 years as she was no longer able to live alone due to been diagnosed with Alzheimers. The staff are amazing & great support to mum. She enjoys the activities as likes to be busy.
She has a hot meal every day which is reassuring to know she is eating properly.

The manager of this care home, runs Weavers Court, Diss, with the utmost care for the customers at Weavers Court.
The care my parent gets is wonderful. The customers at the home are treated with the utmost dignity, the home is clean. I have no complaints to make at all about the care.
The carers
are supportive to those who need more care, for which I am grateful

My Relative has been living at weavers court in Diss for four and a half years she was moved from a warden controlled property. She feels very safe at the property and gets on well with staff and residents. She enjoys the activities and cafes that are provided and also time in the garden during the
warmer months, and is allowed to do as much or as little as she would like. It is easy walking distance to the town doctors and dentist. The staff treat her with respect and dignity and are aware of her additional needs and make sure they are addressed appropriately. If there has been any issues it has been dealt with in a timely manner and with the utmost consideration. As a family we have never had any concerns about our family member with regards to the care given which is a huge relief.

It is our pleasure to support mum, we look forward to seeing what is grown in the garden this year. Thank you for your ongoing support. Your review will be shared with the team at weavers.

I have nothing but praise for Weavers Court. Kirsty and her dedicated team go above and beyond in the care of my disabled Dad.
They are professional, kind, considerate, Friendly and caring individuals that together make an outstanding team. My Dad has been part of the Weavers family since the weekend
the country went into Lockdown. He has gone through some considerable health battles with lots of care and help from the devoted Weaves Court team.
I cannot give enough praise, appreciation or indeed gratitude to all the team at Weavers court.
The last words go to dad "I wish I had moved here years and years ago. And when my time comes I want it to be here at Weavers court".

Weavers Court is an amazing place to live. My dad is a recent amputee. Unable to return home he was discharged from hospital into unsuitable accommodation for his needs. Our Angel the manager visited him, listened to him and talked to him making him feel valued as a person. Dad was offered a permanent
place at Weavers Court. Since moving in he has been receiving regular physio to help him be as independent as he can be. His mental health has improved immensely. All the staff working there are so kind and caring of his needs. Nothing is too much trouble for them. He has 24/7 caring support and care. A huge shout out to all the carers, chef, caretaker, cleaners and management staff. You’re all amazing and my dad loves his new home. Thank you so much.
Reply from Kirsty Forster, Manager at Weavers CourtThank you for your lovely review. We are so happy to be able to support Dad in his new home, gaining confidence and independence. I will pass on your compliments to the team at Weavers Court. We are looking forward to seeing what the next few months bring for Dad, exciting times ahead.

I would recommend Weavers Court as an excellent accommodation for this type of care. The staff are helpful, friendly and I would imagine that any occupant would be at fault if they chose to disagree with my comments. It provides an excellent bridge between full support and self-sufficient.

The angels of Weavers Court NorseCare.
I would like to place on record my praise and sincere thanks for the outstandingly kind and considerate care given to my good friend who passed away recently at Weavers Court. The management and staff were wonderful to him and his visitors, always friendly and
welcoming. Always patient. They cared for my lifetime friend 24/7 responding to his ever more frequent urgent summons. The staff were fond of him and several kindly told me so, some in tears, after his death. To me, they will always be the Angels of Weavers Court. The close working relationship between Weavers Court and the nearby Parish Fields Surgery was very helpful. We never had to wait on the phone to make an appointment or to request a prescription. Care and kindness from all involved well beyond the call of duty.

A very positive review is needed for this delightful care home. The care is managed in a caring, compassionate way. The carers go over and above their remit and approach the residents in a kind and understanding way. Well managed, food is served in an appetizing way, always hot, nourishing and well
presented.

I have stayed at Weavers Court for six weeks preparing for independent living following an amputation. The care, attention and affection I was given was exemplary from every person in the establishment - carer, cleaner, maintenance, management, cooks and hairdresser - all gave their best. I feel I have
been in a 'family of friends' and should I find the return home proves too difficult, I would be pleased to come back to this special place. God bless the staff of Weavers Court.

I cannot thank the staff at Weavers Court enough! Under the guidance of the manager, they have now looked after my father-in-law for two+ years and he is happy and content and in his own words, deficient of nothing. It is such great peace of mind that, as we have to work and are therefore unable to
care for him ourselves, he is so well looked after. Nothing is too much trouble and any queries are dealt with immediately. Their work throughout the pandemic was above and beyond ensuring that all residents were safe and well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Weavers Court to anyone.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.664)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.664) out of 10 for Weavers Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 12 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Extra Care Housing is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.664 for Weavers Court is calculated as follows: ( (105 Excellents x 5) + (26 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 140 Ratings = 4.664
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    5 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months: 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.5 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.5, 5th = 0.5)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Weavers Court is based on 12 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.5 = 5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Extra Care Housing does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Manager Joined: 2021

I have worked in the care industry for over 20 years. I started my career as a care support worker, working mainly in residential care homes, and was supported and encouraged to step out of my comfort zone to move to a supervisory role as Deputy Manager at Weaver’s Court to embrace new challenges within Housing with Care. With Norse Care’s support, I have been able to develop my skills and knowledge and became the Manager of Weaver’s Court in January 2021. I am passionate about delivering high standards of care to the tenants living at Weaver’s Court and will continue to empower the staff at the scheme with their own personal development.
