My mum was in Weavers Court. I have friends who have been in, and my sister was the head chef for a long time. I know the manager and some of the caterers some of my friends have died who were in there. It's a pity because I like the whole place; I can remember it being built.

Weavers Court is an amazing place to live. My dad is a recent amputee. Unable to return home he was discharged from hospital into unsuitable accommodation for his needs. Our Angel the manager visited him, listened to him and talked to him making him feel valued as a person. Dad was offered a permanent
place at Weavers Court. Since moving in he has been receiving regular physio to help him be as independent as he can be. His mental health has improved immensely. All the staff working there are so kind and caring of his needs. Nothing is too much trouble for them. He has 24/7 caring support and care. A huge shout out to all the carers, chef, caretaker, cleaners and management staff. You’re all amazing and my dad loves his new home. Thank you so much.

I would recommend Weavers Court as an excellent accommodation for this type of care. The staff are helpful, friendly and I would imagine that any occupant would be at fault if they chose to disagree with my comments. It provides an excellent bridge between full support and self-sufficient.

The angels of Weavers Court NorseCare.
I would like to place on record my praise and sincere thanks for the outstandingly kind and considerate care given to my good friend who passed away recently at Weavers Court. The management and staff were wonderful to him and his visitors, always friendly and
welcoming. Always patient. They cared for my lifetime friend 24/7 responding to his ever more frequent urgent summons. The staff were fond of him and several kindly told me so, some in tears, after his death. To me, they will always be the Angels of Weavers Court. The close working relationship between Weavers Court and the nearby Parish Fields Surgery was very helpful. We never had to wait on the phone to make an appointment or to request a prescription. Care and kindness from all involved well beyond the call of duty.

A very positive review is needed for this delightful care home. The care is managed in a caring, compassionate way. The carers go over and above their remit and approach the residents in a kind and understanding way. Well managed, food is served in an appetizing way, always hot, nourishing and well
presented.

I have stayed at Weavers Court for six weeks preparing for independent living following an amputation. The care, attention and affection I was given was exemplary from every person in the establishment - carer, cleaner, maintenance, management, cooks and hairdresser - all gave their best. I feel I have
been in a 'family of friends' and should I find the return home proves too difficult, I would be pleased to come back to this special place. God bless the staff of Weavers Court.

Cleanliness in the home is very good. My mother is visited two to four times during the day to ensure she is doing okay. Helpful manageress and staff. Mum went to Weavers Court in the middle of August 2022 and has received the utmost care for her needs.

I cannot thank the staff at Weavers Court enough! Under the guidance of the manager, they have now looked after my father-in-law for two+ years and he is happy and content and in his own words, deficient of nothing. It is such great peace of mind that, as we have to work and are therefore unable to
care for him ourselves, he is so well looked after. Nothing is too much trouble and any queries are dealt with immediately. Their work throughout the pandemic was above and beyond ensuring that all residents were safe and well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Weavers Court to anyone.

My Mother has been a resident at Weavers Court for two years now and during that time she has been cared for by all of the staff with the utmost respect. It has been a very trying time for everyone and there have been days when Mum has been very lonely due to the COVID restrictions. At all times the
staff at Weavers Court have tried to ease that loneliness and reassure my brother, sister and myself that Mum is ok. Thankfully, restrictions have eased somewhat lately and we are now being able to visit inside her flat and hopefully give her a bit more company. Recently we have celebrated her birthday and we were able to spend more time with her on that occasion which we as a family really appreciated. It has been a great comfort to us as her children to know that while we couldn’t provide the care she needed; she was safe and being well looked after. Well done Weavers Court, you should all be very proud of yourselves.

My dad moved into Weavers Court the Friday before the Coivid -19 lockdown. He then had a fall the following day (Due to his health condition/disability). The Carers on that day went above and beyond and stayed with Dad until the long-awaited ambulance arrived (well over their shift time) Dad was treated
immediately as part of the Weavers family. After returning from the hospital a week later. Dad was helped to settle in even helping Dad unpack the remainder of his belongs. I can't thank all the staff at weavers court enough for all they have done and continue to do in these unprecedented times. I may not be allowed to visit yet but I know that dad is in good hands. I have total trust, respect and admiration for all the staff at Weavers Court and 10/10 for the daily meals he receives there.

I have had family members at Weavers Court for some 8 years now and am personally very happy with the care that my mum receives here. I feel that she is treated with respect and dignity and that the staff are incredibly caring and kind. My mum has forged "friendships" with the majority of the members
of staff there. On rare occasions when there have been issues, these have been dealt with fairly, professionally and promptly.

My mother feels that her care needs are not fully met, and we as a family of healthcare professionals concur. We have repeatedly asked that staff monitor mum's fluid intake and is encouraged and monitored - the former rarely happening. Assistance is rarely given with preparation of food and a few medication
errors have occurred. Management do listen, however, and complaints acknowledged and dealt with. We as a family, have noticed that mum's views are sometimes not taken into account and that the carers sometimes speak over her. Respect and listen.
Reply from Richard Smith, Marketing Manager at Weavers Court

We are obviously disappointed with your comments. We continue to provide care and support to all the tenants with dignity and respect. Weaver's Court is a housing with care scheme and visits are made to your mother at least 4 x a day. We are continuing to monitor and record her fluid intake.

As we have discussed, it is crucial that we continue to include Norfolk County Council's Adult Social care team to continually monitor the level of your mother's care needs.

We welcome the opportunity to discuss your thoughts regularly and rest assured that we will ensure that we will do our best to provide your mother with the care and support that she needs.

Care package in the morning can take a long while approximately three hours to get washed and dressed. Very disappointed in the quality of meals. There is a varying quality fo care staff some better than others.
Reply from Richard Smith, Marketing Manager at Weavers Court

We are obviously disappointed with your thoughts and, as we have discussed, we are actively working with the Occupational Therapists and Social Workers to reduce the call times in the mornings, which is working extremely well.

Weaver's Court is a housing with care scheme, meals are not provided by NorseCare, but are supplied by an outside contractor - your feedback has been passed to them.

Any of the concerns raised to staff and management about care agency workers have been acted upon, and as a result, they are no longer working at Weaver's Court.

We are always happy to discuss any concerns you have and welcome the opportunity to provide the level of care and support we aspire to at Weaver's court.

Job Title: Manager Joined: 2021

I have worked in the care industry for over 20 years. I started my career as a care support worker, working mainly in residential care homes, and was supported and encouraged to step out of my comfort zone to move to a supervisory role as Deputy Manager at Weaver’s Court to embrace new challenges within Housing with Care. With Norse Care’s support, I have been able to develop my skills and knowledge and became the Manager of Weaver’s Court in January 2021. I am passionate about delivering high standards of care to the tenants living at Weaver’s Court and will continue to empower the staff at the scheme with their own personal development.
