Our sister is well cared for and we are so happy that she is in a safe environment. The staff are very tolerant of her as she can be very trying. Thank you to you all for your care and hard work.

My Mother has been a resident at Weavers Court for two years now and during that time she has been cared for by all of the staff with the utmost respect. It has been a very trying time for everyone and there have been days when Mum has been very lonely due to the COVID restrictions. At all times the
staff at Weavers Court have tried to ease that loneliness and reassure my brother, sister and myself that Mum is ok. Thankfully, restrictions have eased somewhat lately and we are now being able to visit inside her flat and hopefully give her a bit more company. Recently we have celebrated her birthday and we were able to spend more time with her on that occasion which we as a family really appreciated. It has been a great comfort to us as her children to know that while we couldn’t provide the care she needed; she was safe and being well looked after. Well done Weavers Court, you should all be very proud of yourselves.

I have had family members at Weavers Court for some 8 years now and am personally very happy with the care that my mum receives here. I feel that she is treated with respect and dignity and that the staff are incredibly caring and kind. My mum has forged "friendships" with the majority of the members
of staff there. On rare occasions when there have been issues, these have been dealt with fairly, professionally and promptly.

So pleased with the way that my mother is being cared for in Weavers Court. Staff are lovely, friendly and attentive. If you need to highlight an issue, you are listened to and it is resolved quickly. Lovely atmosphere throughout.

My mother feels that her care needs are not fully met, and we as a family of healthcare professionals concur. We have repeatedly asked that staff monitor mum's fluid intake and is encouraged and monitored - the former rarely happening. Assistance is rarely given with preparation of food and a few medication
errors have occurred. Management do listen, however, and complaints acknowledged and dealt with. We as a family, have noticed that mum's views are sometimes not taken into account and that the carers sometimes speak over her. Respect and listen.
Reply from Richard Smith, Marketing Manager at Weavers CourtWe are obviously disappointed with your comments. We continue to provide care and support to all the tenants with dignity and respect. Weaver's Court is a housing with care scheme and visits are made to your mother at least 4 x a day. We are continuing to monitor and record her fluid intake.

As we have discussed, it is crucial that we continue to include Norfolk County Council's Adult Social care team to continually monitor the level of your mother's care needs.

We welcome the opportunity to discuss your thoughts regularly and rest assured that we will ensure that we will do our best to provide your mother with the care and support that she needs.

Care package in the morning can take a long while approximately three hours to get washed and dressed. Very disappointed in the quality of meals. There is a varying quality fo care staff some better than others.
Reply from Richard Smith, Marketing Manager at Weavers CourtWe are obviously disappointed with your thoughts and, as we have discussed, we are actively working with the Occupational Therapists and Social Workers to reduce the call times in the mornings, which is working extremely well.

Weaver's Court is a housing with care scheme, meals are not provided by NorseCare, but are supplied by an outside contractor - your feedback has been passed to them.

Any of the concerns raised to staff and management about care agency workers have been acted upon, and as a result, they are no longer working at Weaver's Court.

We are always happy to discuss any concerns you have and welcome the opportunity to provide the level of care and support we aspire to at Weaver's court.

I have been a resident for over 2 years now. I have found all the staff very caring and thoughtful. I've luckily only had to call in help on three occasions. Their help came very quickly and was dealt with very well.
Very supportive at all times.

My mother-in-law lived at Weavers Court for five years after sadly becoming a double amputee at 88 and having to move to Norfolk from Manchester. The entire team at Weaver's Court offered exemplary care, friendship and emotional support, and went to huge efforts to ensure she maintained her independence
and dignity. She felt part of a loving family and welcoming community. Their wonderful support and care allowed her to die at home surrounded by people she knew who cared for her with such kindness until the very end.

My mother has been at Weavers Court for over 2 years now. She suffers from dementia. She was apprehensive at first but is now very settled there. She loves the fact she has her own flat and yet the staff come and give her all her meds twice a day and are on hand 24/7. That makes her feel independent
and yet safe.

I have found all the staff very helpful and courteous and my mother feels the same. She is treated with dignity, and frankly, we couldn't wish for better. I wish she would socialise there a bit more but that is her choice.

I am constantly informed by my aunt that the staffing at the care home could be better. The standard of care at night is much better than during the day, where staff don't have much time to deal with each resident how they would like to treat them.
Otherwise, I am satisfied with my aunt's care. Corridors
and doorways could be enlarged to deal with wheelchair users better.

Welcoming atmosphere, the care was structured to what I needed rather than what fitted in with others. Wasn't made to feel like I've got two heads - I suffer with mental health problems.
All the staff are kind and courteous.

Mum has been in Weavers Court for 2 months now and is very happy and settled.
She likes the fact that she has her own complete flat but the carers can come in and out whenever needed.
She is always talking about how lovely all the meals are in the dining room. There are a variety of different activities
in the afternoon.
I would recommend Weavers Court to anyone.

I have been a resident here since February 2014, although apprehensive at first I can honestly say this has been the best decision I could have made. Had I continued to live alone, I may not have bothered to get meals for myself. Here they are prepared for me and brought to me. For which I am very grateful.
My health may have suffered without this service. I am becoming increasingly dependent and the staff here are very attentive and treat me with dignity and respect and importantly with good behaviour.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.664) out of 10 for Weavers Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Extra Care Housing is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.664 for Weavers Court is calculated as follows: ( (105 Excellents x 5) + (26 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 140 Ratings = 4.664
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    5 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months: 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.5 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.5, 5th = 0.5)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Weavers Court is based on 12 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.5 = 5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Extra Care Housing does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Manager Joined: 2021

I have worked in the care industry for over 20 years. I started my career as a care support worker, working mainly in residential care homes, and was supported and encouraged to step out of my comfort zone to move to a supervisory role as Deputy Manager at Weaver’s Court to embrace new challenges within Housing with Care. With Norse Care’s support, I have been able to develop my skills and knowledge and became the Manager of Weaver’s Court in January 2021. I am passionate about delivering high standards of care to the tenants living at Weaver’s Court and will continue to empower the staff at the scheme with their own personal development.
