My mother has been a resident since 2015 and quickly settled happily in the dementia unit. She says the staff are like another family. Throughout, her care has been supportive and respectful with carers often going beyond expected work/resident care. Any small hiccups are generally communicated which is reassuring to family who equally feels supported!
Thank you for your kind comments about the care and support your mother is receiving at Oakes Court.
Since my friend has required the facilities of Oakes Court, I believe he has found their help and attention extremely good. He says they are kind and helpful, look after him and look out for him, checking to see if he needs anything during the day and night. Due to health problems, help with needs is essential and this is done on his behalf. He enjoys the lunches that are available and the help with breakfast and teas. I believe he has settled and is much safer at Oakes Court.
Thank you for your kind comments about the care and support your friend is receiving at Oakes Court.
I am delighted that my Mum is in Oakes Court, she is more than happy with her care, especially in these uncertain times. I hope soon we will be able to go and see her more often but I am sure that will be soon. Keep up the good Oakes Court.
Thank you for your kind words about the care and support that your mum is receiving at Oakes Court.
My father moved into Oakes Court in July Covid restrictions in place. The staff at the home welcomed Dad and the care he received was person-centred. Dad was very happy there and as a family, we were extremely pleased that he was able to call Oakes Court his home. The communication between the home, my dad and family were excellent. Dad passed away in December following a fall. In hospital he passed away.
Thank you for taking the time to make these kind comments about the care and support your father received at Oakes Court. We pass on our condolences for your loss.
My wife and I have been very impressed by the standard of accommodation at Oakes Court and the all-round cleanliness. Most of all, we have been impressed by the quality, friendliness and efficiency of both the staff and the manager. They couldn't have been more helpful during the period of moving-in my father-in-law and their caring attitude has helped him settle in quickly.
Thank you for your kind words about the care and support your father has received at Oakes Court.
Mother was a resident here, settled in very well, and made welcome. The care was brilliant and the staff is very friendly to visitors and family. Unfortunately, we have just lost "Mother". They couldn't have done more for her or us, especially as things are at present. We wish we could have moved her in years ago. Wonderful place and would highly recommend it.
Thank you for the kind review of the care and support your mother received at Oakes Court, we send our condolences.
My Mum was a resident at Oakes Court for several years. When my father died she didn't want to live alone so we showed her various options of where she could move to. She chose Oakes Court and after applying was lucky to be offered a flat within a few weeks. She was happy there. All staff were kind and considerate to her and became her second family. Whenever she was lonely or upset, they cared for her and during her last few days, especially treated her and us (her family) with dignity and respect.
Thank you for this lovely review of the care and support your mum received at Oakes Court and please accept our condolences for your loss.
My mother has been at Oakes Court in the region of seven years. She chose to go there so that she wasn't a burden on us (myself, my brother and two sisters). The staff there come across to us like one big happy family and made my mother feel part of that. We were recommended Oakes Court from a very good friend and we would do the same. Thank you all.
Thank you for your kind words about the care and support your mum is receiving at Oakes Court and we're glad we can support her.
My father has been cared for for the past two years with great kindness by all the staff at Oakes Court. He was able to be as independent as he needed when he first moved here, then as his dementia progressed and he was moved into the Nook, all his needs were taken care of. He always seemed happy and relaxed when we visited him, and we are very grateful that Dad was lucky enough to find such a pleasant, caring and safe environment to help him through his later years. Thank you all at Oakes Court.
Thank you for this lovely review of the care and support your father received at Oakes Court.
My mother was at Oaks Court for four years. It was the best decision we ever made. Mum was well cared for and very happy there. The staff are friendly and welcoming and go the "extra mile" for their residents. The building is modern and well maintained. I cannot express enough how grateful I am.
Thank you for the kind review for the care and support your mother received at Oakes Court.
Oakes Court is a wonderful place with lovely, caring staff. It is so well designed. The care given to my mum was first class.
Thank you for your kind comments. I will pass on your score for the food and drink. Norse Care is not responsible for this in Housing with Care schemes.
All staff are very welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Residents are treated with dignity and respect, in a calm, friendly manner. I would have no hesitation in recommending Oakes Court. Excellent in every way.
Thank you for your kind comments about the care and support at Oakes Court.
My mum lived at Oakes Court for 6 1/2 years until June 2019. She was very happy there and received excellent care and support in a very friendly environment. As I live quite far away it was very reassuring to know that if the staff/management had any concerns they would always keep me informed. All the staff were very knowledgable about the residents and were very aware of their individual requirements. A very friendly place I would definitely recommend Oakes Court.
Thank you for your kind words about the care and support your mother received at Oakes Court.
At this stage, I do not feel I could recommend the facility until this has been completely resolved.
Thank you for your review of our care service and the time you have taken to provide feedback. We will ensure that your comments on the quality of food are passed back to Norfolk County Council and their chosen catering partner Country Kitchen Foods who operate independently of NorseCare.
Although this review is dated September it relates to the whole period of my mother's living there - just under 3 years. The care and devotion to duty shown by all staff at Oakes Court is superb. My mother has been treated with such care and respect as if she were family. Communication between us and staff is extremely good. The staff go out of their way to make life better for the residents. Until very recently I would have said the food was excellent too but sadly this has gone downhill in a big way recently. The quality now being quite poor. This needs resolving. This is the only downside in an otherwise perfectly run facility.
Thank you for you kind comments about the care and support your mother receives and we're sorry to hear about your thoughts on the food - I have raised this with the relevant people who provide the catering service at Oakes Court.
My Mum was at Oakes Court for 3 years and passed away there 5th January. I felt so grateful to all the team there because her end of life care allowed her to die in her own home with dignity and her family and friends with her. The district nurse, GP, family and all staff worked together as a team and provided outstanding care. Mum's family were given support and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I have many happy memories of Mum's time there and I have told my children I want to go there when I can't care for myself anymore.
Thank you for your kind review of Oakes Court at such a sad time for you and your family. Please accept our condolences for your loss.
My mother lived at Oakes Court for the last three years of her life. It was so lovely to know that as she was failing in life, she was cared for so lovingly by the staff. As her end approached we were able to spend the last three weeks with her 24/7. Staff were so supportive to us and encouraged us to help mum to die in the way she would have wished. The end of life care was incredible. The staff went above and beyond and in consequence, a sad occasion is remembered for the love and care shown to us all. Thank you so much Oakes Court.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts of Oakes Court at such a sad time. Please accept our condolences for your loss.
The care staff were all aware of the needs of the elderly and dementia special needs. Also, they were able to display competence in end of life care. All efforts were made to communicate with the family, GP and community nurses and my mother had a pain free and peaceful death.
Thank you for your kind words about the care your mother received at Oakes Court. Please accept our condolences for your loss.
My grandmother was sadly unable to attend my wedding. However, the staff went to extra efforts to help my grandmother feel part of the day by arranging Skype calls and for us to have a camera so a film of the service could be made. It was so kind and very very much appreciated. I loved being able to see and speak to Nan and I know it meant a lot to her as well.
Thank you so much for this review, a very emotional day for you and her. We're really looking forward to sharing the film of the service.
The home is extremely well run by the manager and assistant manager. The caring staff go about their work efficiently and the senior staff are well organised.
Thank you for your kind thoughts about the team at Oakes Court
