Job Summary

The TLC Care ethos is people come first. At TLC Care, we specialise in the ownership and management of care homes, and we have an impressive track record of delivering high quality services. We expect our team members to give their best and strive for continuous improvement to ensure the highest standards of care and service are delivered to all residents and their loved ones.

You will be the engine room of Kailash Manor, keeping the home running smoothly so our teams can focus on outstanding care.

Behind every great care home is a business support function that simply works: payroll that is right first time, recruitment that keeps every vacancy filled, finances that are accurate and up to date, and a reception that makes every visitor feel welcome. As our Business Support Manager, you will hold ultimate responsibility for the financial, HR and administrative systems at Kailash Manor. You will lead the office team, act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, and make sure the business runs with the efficiency, accuracy and warmth our residents, relatives and team members deserve.

About TLC Care and Kailash Manor. We are on a journey to achieve CQC Outstanding across every home in our group, and we hold Investors in People Platinum because we invest meaningfully in our team members. Our values of Truth, Love and Compassion run through everything we do. At Kailash Manor, the Business Support Manager is a key member of the Home Leadership Team, supporting the Home Manager to deliver superior services and to achieve and maintain our accreditations, including Investors in People, Hospitality Assured and ISO9001/ISO14001.

The Role. You will manage the day to day running of the office, plan work schedules for your team and delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively. You will line manage and support the Office Manager and Customer Services Supervisor, take the lead on reviewing and updating the policies relevant to your department, and handle correspondence relating to accounts and sales matters. Working closely with the Home Manager and the Regional Finance & Administration Manager, you will make sure that the home’s financial, HR, payroll and administrative processes are compliant, well organised and continually improving.

What We Are Looking For. Previous experience in a business support, office management or administration leadership role, including experience of finance management. Strong working knowledge of HR administration and recruitment, with the confidence to advise managers and support formal processes. Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including fluent English, and the ability to communicate effectively at every level. The ability to lead and develop a small team while also working independently. Strong digital skills are non-negotiable for this role: you will be highly confident across all Microsoft Office applications and digital HR, payroll and finance systems, and you will be able to demonstrate how you already use AI tools to work smarter and more efficiently. Studying towards, or holding, an AAT, ACCA, CIMA or CIPD qualification is desirable, as is previous working knowledge of payroll systems, invoicing and debt collection. All appointments are subject to a satisfactory DBS check, references and evidence of the legal right to work in the UK.

Personal Qualities. You are values-led and role model Truth, Love and Compassion in everything you do. You demonstrate a high level of integrity, take ownership of your own and your team’s actions, and handle confidential information with complete discretion. You are calm, organised and solutions-focused, you promote collaboration across departments, and you are a proud ambassador for the home, protecting and promoting its good name and reputation at all times.

What We Offer. A values-led organisation committed to its people and its residents. Investors in People Platinum, because we invest meaningfully in our team members. A varied leadership role at the heart of the home, where your work makes a visible difference every day. Clear career development pathways and a coaching culture throughout the organisation. The opportunity to be part of a home on an Outstanding journey, with the backing of a supportive Home Manager and a strong Support Office network.

Our values are Truth, Love and Compassion. If these resonate with you, we would love to hear from you.
