Cherry Hinton Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My husband has been a resident for 8 months, and from day one the whole experience has felt reassuring and genuinely warm. What really stands out is the attitude of the staff - every since person you encounter, whatever they're doing, greets you with a smile and makes you feel truly welcome. It's also
really clear that the care here isn't just about the residents - families matter too. Staff don't just respond to situations as they arise; they proactively suggest and initiate approaches that bring additional reassurance to both residents and their families. That kind of thoughtfulness makes an enormous difference and gives us real peace of mind. The activities are brilliantly organised - you can see a lot of thought goes into the planning, and it shows in how engaged the residents are. Keeping families in the loop clearly matters here too. Communication is regular, consistent and always reassuring - I never have to chase for updates. If you're facing the difficult task of finding the right care home for someone you love, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this one.
Reply from Aga Clark, Business Development Manager at Cherry Hinton Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and for your kind recommendation.
It means a great deal to hear that your husband's first eight months with us have been reassuring and positive for both of you. Creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents and their families feel valued, supported and informed is at the heart of everything we do.
Your comments about our team are especially appreciated. We are incredibly proud of the genuine care, compassion and thoughtfulness they show every day, and we will ensure your feedback is shared with them. Knowing that our proactive approach, regular communication and focus on family involvement have brought you peace of mind is wonderful to hear.
We're also delighted that you value the activities programme and the effort that goes into keeping residents engaged and connected.
Thank you once again for placing your trust in us and for recommending our home to others.

My wife and I cannot fault the warmth and sincere approach shown by all staff after the admission of my dying father to the home. He was attended to most professionally by all. We were however, somewhat disappointed that it was at least 2 days after his death, that verbal confirmation was provided to
us that his body had been transferred to the undertaker. To note that his death did occur over a bank holiday weekend but your internal systems (including attendance of GP) to certify death should accommodate holiday periods.

Camberley Manor

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Camberley Manor is a benchmark for Care homes, our first impressions on our initial visit was that of a modern, bright and clean home, the rooms were well equipped and the staff were happy and friendly, on our tour of the building I was surprised by the facilities available, ranging from a cinema to
hairdressers and a spa and therapy room to name but a few, on entering the reception there is an entrance cafe where you can self serve and have a snack, the garden is well kept and bordered by trees and has many seating options and is really quite tranquill.
But most importantly, the effort that goes into caring for the residents is absolutely amazing, there is daily entertainment 3 times a day, 7 days a week, where they can participate in all manner of activities, excursions can be had to various localities and everyone is encouraged to participate and this has really benefitted my mother in law who has blossomed over the past 6 months, a big thank you to everyone for your efforts.
Reply from Amber Luscombe, Business Development Manager at Camberley ManorThank you so much for your wonderful review and for taking the time to share your experience of Camberley Manor. We are delighted that your first impressions of our home reflected the welcoming and caring environment we strive to provide every day.
Most importantly, we are thrilled to know that your mother-in-law has flourished during her time with us already. It is incredibly rewarding to hear how much she has benefited from the activities, entertainment, and opportunities available within the home and the wider community.
Your kind words will mean a great deal to our entire team, who work tirelessly to provide the highest standard of care and companionship. We will be sure to share your feedback with them. Thank you Andy.

My wifes mother has been a resident at Camberley Manor for a year or so. In my opinion the facilities and staff are first class. Before my retirement I was a finance directory for 22 years and have visited literally hundreds of nursing homes. The moment I visited Camberley Manor I realised this was
the one for our family. I cannot praise it enough. Great management & great team.

Our mother moved to Candlewood House after she suffered a stroke in Summer 2025. We were so impressed by the devoted care provided by all the staff at the Candlewood; carers, nurses, kitchen staff, cleaners, office staff and management. Really glad my Nan is here. Camberley Manor has provided fantastic, constant care throughout this late stage of her life.
CM provided significant help bringing nanny to my wedding, arranging a carer to look after her and coordinating with taxis.
Updates over social media on her activities are good.
Care notes are frequent.
Always very friendly and welcoming. I recommend visiting at tea and cake time!

My mum did not settle easily despite needing the care provided at Camberley Manor. The staff have treated mum with kindness and professionalism at every turn, despite her frame of mind varying. Mum loves the food and enjoys the singing activities. The garden and fish pond are a big draw.
Reply from Amber Luscombe, Business Development Manager at Camberley ManorThank you for sharing your kind feedback. You do not need to look anywhere else other than Camberley Manor as you will not find a better care home. We moved my Grandmother in early this year and from the very first day the staff met her, I knew instantly she would be extremely well looked after, cared for, respected and treated with dignity.
The team didn't just care for my Grandmother, they truly saw her and they understood her individual needs making her time with them so comfortable and peaceful. Although my Grandmother has now sadly passed away from old age being over 100 years old, we could not have chosen a better place for her to slip peacefully away. The respect and love the team have shown not only my Grandmother, but to our whole family is something we will be forever grateful for. We are going to miss you all greatly, and thank you to you all for everything you did for my Grandmother.
Reply from Amber Luscombe, Business Development Manager at Camberley ManorIt was a true privilege to care for your grandmother and to be part of her journey. We strive to ensure that every resident is treated with the dignity, respect and kindness they deserve, and it is deeply reassuring to know that your grandmother felt comfortable and at peace in our home.
On behalf of everyone at Camberley Manor, please accept our sincere condolences. We are grateful for the trust you placed in us and for allowing us to care for such a special person. Candlewood House exceeds al of my expectations. My aunt arrived ona bank holiday weekend, but you would never have known that. Staff greeted her warmly with great kindenss and respect. On day one, all staff remembered not only her name but mine. Staff went out of their way to bake a birthday cake for
her 90th and sung to her. I feel incredibly fortunate to leave my auntie in the careful, kind and thoughtful care of Candlewood House staff.
