My stepmother became a resident here two years ago when we, as a family, recognised she needed a level of care we could not provide at home. We chose Cherry Hinton due to its strong CQC rating and positive reviews. The facilities are clean, modern, and well maintained with a variety of activities offered. Staff have consistently shown professionalism, kindness and compassion, not only to residents, but also to dad, who spent most of his time there. At busier times, care routines can occasionally be disrupted with the need for reminders, however, staff continue to work hard to maintain high standards and ensure residents' needs are met. Of particular note was the care provided in her final days. In the last 48 hours of her life, she was treated with great dignity and sensitivity, and staff supported our family throughout, for which we are deeply grateful. Overall, we are confident we made the right decision and would highly recommend this home.

My husband has been a resident for 8 months, and from day one the whole experience has felt reassuring and genuinely warm. What really stands out is the attitude of the staff - every since person you encounter, whatever they're doing, greets you with a smile and makes you feel truly welcome. It's also really clear that the care here isn't just about the residents - families matter too. Staff don't just respond to situations as they arise; they proactively suggest and initiate approaches that bring additional reassurance to both residents and their families. That kind of thoughtfulness makes an enormous difference and gives us real peace of mind. The activities are brilliantly organised - you can see a lot of thought goes into the planning, and it shows in how engaged the residents are. Keeping families in the loop clearly matters here too. Communication is regular, consistent and always reassuring - I never have to chase for updates. If you're facing the difficult task of finding the right care home for someone you love, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this one.

A wonderful home. Caring staff. Great care. Staff have plenty of patience wtih residents. Laundry good, food good, home clean & tidy and well kept. Garden beautiful.

Both my parents entered Cambridge Manor for respite care, with my father dying soon afterwards. The whole family has been treated with such kindness and respect. The staff are exceptional! My mother is being so well looked after and it is such a relief to know that he is safe. The food is delicious and there is a wide range of activities available. To say I am impressed is an understatement!

Unable to find fault with anything. Service and kindness frome everyone every day encouraging exercises and other activities for everyone. Very happy atmosphere for all. Food very good and unable to fault anything.

The design of the building gives the feeling of an open, accessible space with community areas and outside space to enjoy. All kept very clean. A good choice of food at meal times well prepared, often excellent.

The leading team on Darwin (day time) - they listen to every concern I have about my father's car and wellbeing. They form an action plan and keep me updated. They execute their roles with care, empathy and compassion. I feel they are outstanding and are a real credit to the company. I can't thank them enough.

Since my mum has been in the care home the whole staff have been fantastic. We as a family couldn't wish for a better place for her. They are lovely and friendly and always on hand if you need anything.

All the staff have been extremely helpful and caring They try to anticipate your needs they are all extremely cheerful and make your go well all the meals have been very varied and tasty The bed is extremely comfortable and the call bell is reliable

Most importantly, my grandfather seems happy, comfortable, and well looked after.

My grandad has recently moved into the care home and we couldn't be more pleased with the experience. The staff are incredibly friendly, kind, and welcoming, which has made such a difference during this transition. Grandad is settling in really well, and the care team have done an amazing job making him feel comfortable and at home.

My mum is having a two week respite stay at Cambridge Manor Care Home. We find the staff extremely warm, kind and professional. The food is very good with a range of options and very nicely served in a restaurant style. Mum is enjoying the activities and seems very happy here. It is very clean and well looked after, looks very cosy with the decorations. We would be very happy if she decided she wanted to stay longer!

I visited a friend in her lovely room and was treated to a superb lunch, delicious and thoughtfully served. The dining room was very attractive.

Since my wife arrived at Cambridge Manor Care Home her needs have been fully met, the care she has received is second to none. Her room, lounges, dining room and corridors are always kept spotless. Although my wife has very limited mobility there is a full and varied activities for all residents. All staff are aways there to help, nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend Cambridge Manor Care Home without hesitation.

It was such a blow to.me and my own family as had 2 months to find one, mum is frail and not well herself and my sister was moving overseas and was unable to share this dilemma with them at that time. Plus he was in Suffolk previously but due to our family circumstances he could not stay in Suffolk as it was only me visiting once my sister had moved. My mother could not visit regularly as she is more or less housebound herself . When I 1st visited the home I was taken back by the care, Homely,feel the fact the nursing staff had been there along time and had years of experience as my father's case was complex( I am a nurse myself of 45 years) & have never seen anyone with his needs. I just knew immediately this ticked ally boxes. The saddest thing was he passed away 4 days after he moved in.
