Candlewood House care home is very clean. Everybody is always very friendly and helpful. There is lots of activities for residents to engage in and visitors of residents are made to feel very welcome and kept updated upon the residents.

We didn't know that care homes like Candlewood existed! The staff are warm, diligent and charming towards my mother, who has a fracture. The building and interiors are very well maintained and well designed - apparently it was completely refurbished in 2021 - and my mother's visitors have all commented
on how it ressembles a designer country hotel. We've been happy with the different activities that are put on, and my mother has surprisingly joined in with most of them! Candlewood have made it easy for her to feel safe, she is so well looked after; and as an ex healthcare professional, she is not easy to impress!

I cannot praise Candlewood's carers highly enough. I was so happy and relieved to see my dear friend residing in a home with such caring and dedicated staff. There was a feeling of warmth and care each time I visited. On top of that, Candlewood Home is recently built, nicely furnished and sparkling

My father settled into life at Candlewood House immediately. He receives excellent, friendly care, and he has a lovely circle of friends amongst his fellow residents. The room are bright, cheerful, welcoming and homely, and the programme of entertainment offers something of interest for all. Moving
my father to Candlewood really was the best decision, and he hasn't looked back. He is safe, happy and cared for to a very high level, and it is a wonderful place to visit him.

I found my 3-week respite at Candlewood a very pleasant transition between hospital and home. Life has changed dramatically for my father since moving into Candlewood House. He is surrounded by caring, cheerful staff in a safe and beautiful environment. The design of the home lends well to socialisation, and my father has made friends. There are a varied range of activities which he enjoys.

Well Candlewood House what a wonderful place. What amazing staff. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them. My husband is still getting used to his routine but slowly he is getting used to it. I think it is an amazing place.

The manager and her very capable team did right by our father and in the process made a big difference to the quality of the last phase of his life. Their care interventions and consideration certainly lengthened his time by several months - this sometimes involved late night and early morning calls
and at one point a member of staff even came in from home to hold his hand and reassure him. The team formed relationships with him that went beyond what you might expect treating our, at times, demanding father, with respect, dignity and going out of their way to accommodate his requests. He was impressed by and liked the individuals that cared for him. Being able to have his books and pictures round him helped make the room his own. How they do this with such compassion and humor day in, day out is quite something.

My friend has cancer of the oesophagus and after 2 stints in hospital he was too weak to go home. He was referred to Candlewood House. It was perfect, lots of room in general including his own room, very easy access, friendly and at meal times it always smelled delicious. There is always a choice of
hot and cold drinks and snacks for family and guests too. Due to how weak he was, my friend never took part in any of the available activities. The cancer spread too fast taking him from us too soon. As someone who worked in a home before, Candlewood House is the perfect place. I'd be happy to visit my own family here if it came to that.

She brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective from her background as an emergency physician. In her role, she focuses on fostering relationships, creating growth opportunities, and enhancing our community’s outreach. I love meeting new people and engaging in meaningful conversations. Outside of work, I’m an avid reader and writer, currently working on my second book under my pen name, @drkeerth.

Deepak

Deepak Sharma

Job Title: Care Services Manager Joined: 2019

Deepak has been a valuable member of the TLC team for five years, starting his journey as a registered nurse and now serving as the Care Services Manager at Candlewood.


Before joining TLC, he accumulated six years of intensive experience working in a cardiac ICU, bringing a wealth of knowledge and specialized care to our community.


Deepak is known for his kind and warm demeanour, making him a favourite among our residents. His dedication to providing exceptional care is evident in his daily interactions and the strong relationships he builds with those he serves.
