My sister has been so happy since moving to Candlewood House Care Home, she was at another home and was not given the care she needed, she has cancer and needed a lot of support.
At Candlewood Care Home she has been given so much respect, understanding, and care. All the staff are so nice and supporting
and always go beyond to help her.

My Mum came here for respite care following a fall and broken neck. She has been well cared for, and the staff are professional, kind, skillful, thoughtful, responsive and always have time to talk. This is a very high-quality care home. The facilities are modern and luxurious and very clean. The staff treated my Mum with kindness, patience, and respect at all times and this care ethos was extended to each of our family without hesitation. The high level of care extended to the end with her last

Mum seems to be happy living in Candlewood House. She is enjoying the company of the staff and how everything is so clean and tidy. I also feel this knowing Mum is in the best place possible, where she will be safe and fulfilled in her last years. Standards are high at The Candlewood and it reflects
in the prices. This is my only worry for the future. At present, I am very happy with the service that has been provided and the caring staff who look after Mum.

Excellent care home, the staff are very kind and supportive. The environment is very clean - the manager is diligent and gets involved in everything. Would definitely recommend it. Excellent care, all the staff, manager, nurses, care assistants, wellbeing staff, catering and housekeeping are all very approachable, kind and friendly. On the medical side I feel Mum is being looked after very well. She enjoys partaking in activities. The staff are very professional. Most of all Mum

Our brother was in Candlewood House for the last few months and received the most wonderful care. The surroundings are exceptional for a care home, but the most important thing was the compassion and kindness he received from all the staff. They went out of their way to ensure he was as comfortable
as possible, and he told us many times how much he appreciated their kind attention. Thank you for looking after him so well, and for your sympathy and kindness towards the family.

The food and the staff in the dining area are outstanding at Candlewood Care Home. The care manager is exceptional at creating an inclusive atmosphere. Residents enjoying lunch together is heartwarming. My dad is enjoying his food, he sits with his friends at the dining table for a delicious three-course
meal, everyday now, cooked to perfection by the chef at the home who often comes out of the kitchen to ensure all the residents are enjoying the food and service. Only six months ago not many residents, including my Dad, would enjoy lunch together in the dining room but since the new manger was appointed the dining experience for the residents has improved immensely. Thank you so much to the manager for helping to bring Candlewood Care Home back to life.

My wife has been a resident in Candlewood House since February 2022.
Her health, care and safety have always been paramount.
However, the latest home manager and her assistant have raised the home to another level.
Had it not been for her medical knowledge we would have "lost" my wife before Christmas.
In
addition, the home is much more vibrant with a good friendly atmosphere.

Exceptional care home with exceptional staff who actually listen to all of your needs. Upon arrival parking is simple and from the front door, you are greeted with warmth and kindness whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism. The care home manager has incredibly high standards and works hard
to maintain these whilst offering a home-from-home environment. A variety of activities including exercise, yoga and physiotherapy is offered at this care home and a bespoke care package is devised for each resident. If you are looking for a warm, safe, kind caring 'home from home' for yourself or your loved one, this is the place to go.

I cried when my sister and I were shown around Candlewood House care home. It sets the standard, it's like a hotel, the decor, rooms, bathrooms etc and how clean. Never thought care homes like this existed. The manager is an asset who truly cares about all the residents as does her team. It's beautiful
to witness, I know it's their job but it's more than that, it's a sense of being family. The care team and TLC team are amazing. Activities that take place have been brilliant, they are kind, helpful and they also check on us to to. This care home is everything in our mum's time of need and support. Thank you.

If there was anything good that could have happened in the horrible situation that my brother found himself in, it was being sent to this nursing home for treatment. My husband went into Candlewood with terminal stage 4 cancer. The nurses were wonderful and really cared for him. Unfortunately, the care home manager undid all the great work the nurses did. My husband didn't want anyone seeing how ill and frail he looked and it was just myself and my son and his partner
visiting him. A few days before he died, I walked into his bedroom and found the manager wearing a Santa's hat and an assistant with a camera, the manager was trying to give my husband a Christmas present whilst taking photo's. My husband was waving his hands saying, No photos, No photos. A few days before my husband died, my son and his husband stayed with him for 3 whole days. The night he died my son didn't want to leave him and two nurses offered my son and his husband the use of the lounge to be close by. When the manager found out they were using the lounge he told my son, he couldn't use the lounge. My son booked a local hotel and my husband died all alone. Not LGBTQ+ friendly.

I live in North America and was desperately looking for a suitable care home for my father who lived in London. When I came across Candlewood House on the internet, checked its website and ratings and had a virtual tour with the business development manager, I thought that was too good to be true and
I was sceptical. However, the moment I walked into the care home, interacted with staff and saw everything with my own eyes, I was convinced that I had found the perfect place for my father and moved him immediately. She brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective from her background as an emergency physician. In her role, she focuses on fostering relationships, creating growth opportunities, and enhancing our community’s outreach. I love meeting new people and engaging in meaningful conversations. Outside of work, I’m an avid reader and writer, currently working on my second book under my pen name, @drkeerth.

Deepak has been a valuable member of the TLC team for five years, starting his journey as a registered nurse and now serving as the Care Services Manager at Candlewood.


Before joining TLC, he accumulated six years of intensive experience working in a cardiac ICU, bringing a wealth of knowledge and specialized care to our community.


Deepak is known for his kind and warm demeanour, making him a favourite among our residents. His dedication to providing exceptional care is evident in his daily interactions and the strong relationships he builds with those he serves.


Outside of his professional life, Deepak is an avid cyclist and enjoys travelling and hiking. His love for adventure and the outdoors reflects his energetic and enthusiastic approach to life and work.

Before joining TLC Care as a Wellbeing Lead, he worked across an NHS trust, developing his expertise in supporting individuals and teams. With a solid foundation in sports and psychology, Kobe also brings international experience from playing football in the United States and Belgium.


He is passionate about wellbeing and takes a person-centred, psychologically informed approach. His understanding of the various factors that influence an individual's well-being allows him to adopt a truly holistic perspective in his work.

My career spans a wide range of clinical and leadership roles within the NHS and community services, including Community Rapid Response Support Worker, Charge Nurse in an Acute Assessment Unit, and Ward Manager within a Care of the Elderly Department.
