Candlewood House

Candlewood is beyond perfect! The home is home for everyone, the service is impeccable the staff are family! Extremely caring and pay attention to the residents. The love and care for all the residents I wish I could live here myself!

My experience of Candlewood House has been very good. My aunt was very unwell when she arrived and was sadly only Candlewood House for a very short time. The staff were lovely, caring and respectful and made sure she was comfortable as possible. The staff took very good care of myself and my family when my aunt sadly passed away. I was sad that she wasn't able to enjoy all the fabulous facilities and food and would recommend this home to others.

The palliative care my wife received was absolutely excellent. Candlewood is second to none in the care home business. I can not fault it in any area. My wife's end-of-life experience was carefully handled with dignity.

My experience at Candlewood House Care Home is one of great reassurance and total 100% confidence that my mother is in the best care that we or anybody else would expect. Exceptional staff, friendly atmosphere, warm greeting from reception to the manager, the nurses, the chefs, and cleaners. They make Candlewood a reassuring place to be for any that who comes here.

The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The home itself is furnished and kept to an extremely high standard. The residence houses a very high standard of care. My friend is very content and happy in Candlewood House.

Exceptional care home with exceptional staff. All the staff are very friendly and all were taking a keen interest in my Mother-in-law's care and ensuring she is comfortable and her wishes are granted. We can not find fault with anything. Candlewood is like a first-class hotel, very clean and modern with a lovely outside area.

I have liked Candlewood from day one. I would give it even 10 stars. They care for my husband's needs no matter what. He is very happy and comfortable here. The food, care, and support he gets here are good.

I have had a very good experience with the home, my father has been cared for with compassion and gentleness, and the staff of the institution are very polite and clean, we have been visiting my dad often and we have seen no sign of anything but the best of treatment.

Friendly and kind staff with a good sense of humour. Treat everyone who comes there with respect and compassion. I was amazed when the staff came out to greet us when they first saw us at the front door. Great place to be.

My Mum came here for respite care following a fall and broken neck. She has been well cared for, and the staff are professional, kind, skillful, thoughtful, responsive and always have time to talk. The home feels like a happy and caring environment where people are genuinely invested in providing top-quality care. Can't recommend highly enough!

This is a very high-quality care home. The facilities are modern and luxurious and very clean. The staff treated my Mum with kindness, patience, and respect at all times and this care ethos was extended to each of our family without hesitation. The high level of care extended to the end with her last hours spent in such a caring, calm environment.

Mum seems to be happy living in Candlewood House. She is enjoying the company of the staff and how everything is so clean and tidy. I also feel this knowing Mum is in the best place possible, where she will be safe and fulfilled in her last years. Standards are high at The Candlewood and it reflects in the prices. This is my only worry for the future. At present, I am very happy with the service that has been provided and the caring staff who look after Mum.

Excellent care home, the staff are very kind and supportive. The environment is very clean - the manager is diligent and gets involved in everything. Would definitely recommend it. Excellent care, all the staff, manager, nurses, care assistants, wellbeing staff, catering and housekeeping are all very approachable, kind and friendly. On the medical side I feel Mum is being looked after very well. She enjoys partaking in activities. The staff are very professional. Most of all Mum is happy. Room is very clean.

Our brother was in Candlewood House for the last few months and received the most wonderful care. The surroundings are exceptional for a care home, but the most important thing was the compassion and kindness he received from all the staff. They went out of their way to ensure he was as comfortable as possible, and he told us many times how much he appreciated their kind attention. Thank you for looking after him so well, and for your sympathy and kindness towards the family.
