Lovely place - so comfortable and creatively styled. The staff were so kind and welcoming. My aunt is very well cared for. Lots of lovely rooms to sit in. Everyone is so friendly.

Everyone at Candlewood treats my elderly relative with supreme care and respect, she is bedbound and totally dependent on others to care for her.
The carers and nurses are all highly professional and capable, along with being kind, friendly, compassionate and patient. Noting is too much trouble. Their
expertise in feeding the delicious and beautifully prepared food has enabled my relative to put on some weight and regain some strength. Also, the painful bedsores she acquired in the hospital have soon been healed. As a visitor, it is lovely to be made welcome by the staff and to witness the way they all work as a team. There is every opportunity to discuss my relative's care in both personal and nursing and to feel her progress is a genuine concern. I'm particularly impressed by the attention to detail displayed at Candlewood, including such things as atmosphere, floral arrangements and individual approach.
There is also an excellent range of activities and treatments available. As a family, we consider we've made the right choice with Candlewood, this gives us peace of mind.

We moved my auntie from an unsatisfactory home.
Candlewood House Care Home is amongst the best we have seen.
As it is still a new home there are still a few teething problems with staff turnover. The established staff are excellent.
The biggest negative is the lack of a visiting GP.

We spent some time trying to find the best place for our 90-year-old aunt to be moved to once discharged from hospital and we could not have found better care for her than at Candlewood House Care Home. The staff are delightful, they have patiently listened to our concerns and needs and, most importantly,
the quality of the care they have given has been excellent. On the first day of settling my aunt in, I left reassured that we had done everything we could to help my aunt and relieved that she was now in very good hands.
The home itself is lovely, it's bright and cheerful, and a pleasure to come to as a guest. It's not inexpensive to stay here but I suppose it's the old adage of 'you pay for what you get', and for us, as a family, this is money well spent. Definitely recommended.

We feel so lucky to have found this amazing place for my mum. Part hospitality, part nursing, it has an amazing holistic outlook which is in keeping with everything we wanted for her - and the approach of the kind, caring staff have made a difficult transition in life as easy as it could be for her
and us. It has given her and our family a new lease of life knowing how well she is looked after.

An excellent care home operating at an exceptionally high standard in all respects. The home is beautifully decorated, the rooms having a degree of individualism and made to feel very "homey". There is a friendly atmosphere throughout, the staff are caring and 'alert' to the needs of individual residents.
I would particularly like to mention that the quality of nursing care is of a very high standard: so often this aspect of care is not visible and yet is so important in the care of vulnerable residents.

Comfortable and well equipped. The staff work tirelessly with care and love to look after us. They saved my life really and it meant I can be as independent as possible whilst I recover.

A friend was at Candlewood for 4 weeks' respite stay. I was very impressed with the staff, who all seemed caring and proactive and not burnt out. There were only a few residents living there since the care home is new and people are waiting for more normal times to move in, so I did not see it in full
swing. However, the staff gave my friend a lot of attention, and she seemed cleaner and brighter while she was there. Staff made sure she had plenty to do: drawing, games, films, gardening. I thought it was an excellent care home.

It was clearly an important decision and not taken lightly by Dad or the family, for him to leave his home. Although still a sad time for Dad, Candlewood House management and the team have been fantastic with their attention to detail and communication.
The brand new facilities are excellent and Dad
is very impressed with the care.

In her role, she focuses on fostering relationships, creating growth opportunities, and enhancing our community’s outreach. I love meeting new people and engaging in meaningful conversations. Outside of work, I’m an avid reader and writer, currently working on my second book under my pen name, @drkeerth.

Deepak

Deepak Sharma

Job Title: Care Services Manager Joined: 2019

Deepak has been a valuable member of the TLC team for five years, starting his journey as a registered nurse and now serving as the Care Services Manager at Candlewood.


Before joining TLC, he accumulated six years of intensive experience working in a cardiac ICU, bringing a wealth of knowledge and specialized care to our community.


Deepak is known for his kind and warm demeanour, making him a favourite among our residents. His dedication to providing exceptional care is evident in his daily interactions and the strong relationships he builds with those he serves.
