There’s something truly special about bringing different generations together — and yesterday was a perfect example of just how meaningful those moments can be.
We were delighted to welcome children from the Teddy Wilf's Nursery School who joined our residents in painting beautiful bird boxes for our garden. What started as a creative activity quickly became something much more… filled with laughter, curiosity and genuine connection.
Intergenerational activities like these have such a positive impact. They help to boost mood, reduce feelings of loneliness, encourage communication and bring a wonderful sense of purpose to our residents. At the same time, children gain so much — building confidence, empathy and forming meaningful bonds with older generations.
The room was full of smiles, stories and teamwork — a lovely reminder that connection has no age! We can’t wait to see our colourful bird boxes in the garden… and to welcome our little helpers back again soon!
