LOCAL CARE HOME TO HOST FREE ‘UNDERSTANDING DEMENTIA CAFÉ’

In order to support residents’ relatives and friends, and the local community, Barchester’s Cookridge Court Care Home in Leeds are hosting a free Understanding Dementia Cafe on 27th of May 2pm – 3:30pm and is inviting members of the community to attend.

Sandra Roche, General Manager, and her staff who are specially trained in dementia care will be in attendance to support attendees with topics such as how to spot the first signs of dementia, how to get a diagnosis and how to look after your loved one living with dementia.

General Manager, Sandra Roche, says: “We want to help and support relatives, friends and members of our local community who have loved ones who are living with dementia. We are inviting everyone to come along to talk about and raise awareness and to help give people some information and coping strategies.
