Ready Steady Bake!

Our chefs, Nico and Jon, went head-to-head in a fun-filled “Ready, Steady, Bake” challenge, with residents casting their votes using the old style green pepper, red tomato cards, to select their favourite recipe made with limited ingredients.

Nico made a carrot, orange and mixed fruit cake, bringing plenty of flair as he zested oranges and kept everyone entertained, while Jon wasted no time getting his delicious stem ginger and banana cake into the oven.

There was lots of laughter, interaction and great questions from residents, and plenty of friendly banter, making it a truly enjoyable event for all.

And the best bit… the cakes will be available for sale tomorrow! All proceeds will be donated to Barchester’s Charitable Foundation.
