Residents from Four Oaks Care Home, which is part of Kingsley Healthcare Group, were certainly taken by surprise as they celebrated World Circus Day on Monday 20th April.

The home had the pleasure of welcoming the wonderful Chelsea, their Generation Fitness Instructor, but her visit certainly came with a twist – Chelsea seemed to have grown a few feet taller overnight!

Chelsea visited the home as part of World Circus Day, arriving on stilts, complete with glowing LED wings. She slowly, but gracefully, made her way round the home, stopping to chat with residents and certainly turned heads along the way from both residents and visitors to the home who had to do a double take.

The team jokingly offered her a feather duster while she was up so high but, she was pleased to assure everyone that there was need as, thankfully, there was no dust or cobwebs to found, thanks to the amazing domestic team in the home.

One resident, Beryl commented “I can’t believe how tall Chelsea is and am amazed at her balance.”

Another resident Andrew said “The lights on her wings remind me of Christmas”

Chloe Williams, Lifestyle Co-ordinator “Well, that’s not something you see everyday!” She continued “A huge thank you to Chelsea for bringing something so unique and memorable to our home. We all thoroughly enjoyed the visit.”

Stacey Butler, Manager at Four Oaks Nursing Home said “It was so lovely to see the look on resident faces during Chelsea’s visit, it certainly brought lots of excitement and fun to the home as well as memories of visits to the circus when they were younger.” She continued “Creating unique and memorable events for our residents is what makes Kingsley Healthcare stand out from other care providers.”
