Bushey House raises Over £1,380 for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation

Residents, relatives, staff and members of the local community at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home came together recently for a fun-filled fundraising event in aid of Barchester's Charitable Foundation, raising an impressive £1,383.75. The event included a lively bingo afternoon, a homemade cake sale and a hamper raffle, with plenty of laughter, friendly competition and, of course, lots of cake. Thanks to the generosity of everyone who took part, the home raised £1,207.00, with a further £176.75 in Gift Aid bringing the final total to £1,383.75. The money raised will help support the important work of Barchester's Charitable Foundation, which helps older people and other adults in need to stay connected to their communities and enjoy activities and equipment that can make a real difference to their quality of life. Mary Jane Bague, General Manager at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home, said: "We are so proud of what everyone has achieved. It was wonderful to see our residents, families, staff and members of the local community all coming together, having fun and supporting such a worthwhile cause. The atmosphere throughout the event was fantastic, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, baked, bought raffle tickets and joined in. Raising this amount for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation is something we are all very proud of."
