Sponsored Walk

Residents and staff at Winchester House in Wouldham put the ‘fun’ into ‘fundraising’ with a sponsored 10 mile walk to raise money for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation. Ten members of care home staff walked from Winchester House to Leybourne Lakes where they were joined by some of the residents who joined them for refreshments. The residents and staff then walked around the lake taking in the beautiful scenery before continuing to the finish line at Winchester House. On their return to the home, the walkers were met by residents and members of staff with flags and banners to celebrate their achievement! The home also held a raffle with hamper prizes, had a flower stall and sold sweets as part of their fundraising initiatives. The total raised by the home was an impressive £1,060.00.
