Everyone at Nesbit House has been cheering on resident Maggie, 92, as she takes on her inspiring Everest-themed walking challenge in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.
Following her radiotherapy treatment, Maggie wanted to focus on becoming more active again and set herself a personal goal inspired by her previous fundraising trek to Everest Base Camp, which she originally completed in support of her grandson during his leukaemia treatment.
With support from the wellbeing team, Maggie began tracking her daily steps and has already surpassed her original target, choosing to continue the challenge to help raise even more money for the charity.
Her determination and positivity have been inspiring to residents, families and team members across the home, and we are incredibly proud to support her fundraising journey.
