Wisden Court Residents Celebrate Sir David Attenborough’s 100th Birthday

Residents at Wisden Court, part of the Runwood Homes group, enjoyed a wild and wonderful celebration as the home marked Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday with a special petting zoo experience on 8 May 2026.

The event brought a variety of animals into the home, giving residents the opportunity to interact closely with them in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The celebration was organised to create a meaningful way to honour the broadcasting legend and natural historian.

Residents were delighted by the experience, with many sharing their excitement throughout the day. One resident described the event as “how lovely,” while others commented “so cute” and “how beautiful” as they spent time with the animals.

A standout moment from the celebration came when residents had the chance to hold owls, sparking plenty of conversation and smiles around the home.
