LOCAL CARE HOME HOSTS EMERGENCY SERVICES SAFETY TALK

Last Updated: 14 May 2026 @ 00:00 AM

Mount Vale Care Home in Northallerton is opening its doors to members of the local community for a Scam Prevention Talk on Monday June 15th at 10.30am. Friends and neighbours are invited to join residents and staff for an educational safety talk free of charge. Members of the local police service will share practical safety advice, discuss local issues and answer any questions guests may have. Staff and residents at the home came up with the idea of hosting an educational event to support members of the community to feel safer within their environments, reduce their risk of harm and help them to be more informed. Guests will also have the chance to enjoy light refreshments, chat with the care home team and connect with others. Do come along to learn how to stay safe both at home and in the wider community. General Manager Trudi Gillespie at Mount Vale Care Home comments: “We are delighted to welcome our police services to the home. Talks like this are incredibly valuable for the people we support and the local community. It’s a great opportunity to speak to the people who keep our communities safe. Please RSVP to mountvale@barchester.com if you would like to attend.” Mount Vale Care Home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which is committed to delivering high-quality care across its care homes and hospitals.
