There are moments in care that remind you exactly why these experiences matter — and our recent pony visit was one of those moments.
The day was nothing short of outstanding. Two gentle ponies, warm sunshine, and the simple joy of connection created something truly special for everyone involved. Kara’s reaction was deeply moving. With her history as a horse rider, being close to the ponies again clearly meant the world to her. She was overcome with emotion, shedding happy tears as those memories came flooding back. It was a beautiful reminder of how powerful familiar experiences can be.
Chris spent time outside in the sunshine with the ponies, completely at ease. Sometimes it’s the simplest things — fresh air, animals, and a peaceful setting — that bring the greatest happiness. For Jill, who lives with Huntington’s disease and often experiences erratic movements, the change was remarkable. Around the animals, she became noticeably calm and settled. Watching that transformation was incredibly special and a powerful example of the therapeutic impact animals can have.
