My name is Sarah and I am proud to be the General Manager here at Woodside House.
I am an experienced nurse and care home manager, having spent many years with both the NHS and Barchester. I love working for Barchester and leading the team at Woodside House in the care and support of residents to provide first-class service that meets their individual needs. We have a truly lovely home and a fantastic team.
My vision is to create a 'home from home' environment, where residents are actively involved in organising events, making decisions, and planning their care.
Our door is always open to visitors who want to experience our family-friendly atmosphere and I am always ready to speak to anyone who is starting to explore their future care needs.
Hello, my name is David Jackson, and I am the deputy manager/clinical lead at Woodside House. As a deputy, my role is to support Sarah in the running of the home and my clinical lead role is to ensure a high standard of care for our family of residents.
I have been in healthcare in the NHS since 1994 and held many diverse roles within healthcare. I have vast experience in different areas with transferable skills which will allow me to implement high standard care at Woodside House. I am fairly new to the Barchester family and started as a night nurse in September 2024.
I love working for Barchester at Woodside house as there is a great team which feels like one big family. This family creates a warm and caring environment to support and care for our residents and their wider family.
My name is Amy and I joined Woodside House in 2011 as a Registered General Nurse and now I am the Head of Unit for our Willow and Sycamore communities.
I am responsible for ensuring that all of my residents receive the highest standards of care and are treated with the level of dignity and respect that I would want for my family to receive. We have a very experienced team and several of the staff have been here for many years and are great friends with the residents.
We love welcoming new residents and helping them to join our little community, each new person brings their own personality to the mix and it is wonderful to see everyone making new friends as they settle in.
My Name is Nono I have been a Nurse since 2001 originally in my home county of Botswana. I moved to the UK in 2005 and started working in a care home in Dereham. I worked as a Nurse caring for older people before becoming deputy manager in 2012. I moved to Woodside House in February 2023 after hearing of the home's excellent reputation. I have completed my end-of-life enhanced training with the NHS team and I have completed my level 5 Diploma in adult care.
I am now really enjoying the challenge of leading the memory lane community at Woodside House.
Sally is the home's Administrator and joined us in January 2018. Her role involves supporting the General Manager and taking responsibility for all the financial and administrative aspects of the home.

I am constantly speaking with residents to find out what foods they prefer, the way they like things presented and how I can make every meal a great experience.
Working with the care staff to ensure each resident's unique dietary requirements are met, is just one of the ways that my kitchen team support the health and well-being of our residents. I spend time with each new resident to ensure that my team and I are aware of their preferences and favourites when they first move in to Woodside.
