At Highcroft Hall the team, several of whom have been with the home for around 10 years, are devoted to enriching the lives of their residents. They support them to have an active role to play in how their home is run, giving them a true sense of belonging and purpose.

Providing residential and dementia care, they also offer respite care breaks, which can be booked in advance. These are ideal for family carers who would like to plan a short break themselves.

There are beautiful spaces to relax in. The garden room is a tranquil area to enjoy and there is a cinema room, complete with a popcorn machine for movie afternoons.

There is a vintage café and a hair and beauty room, with a mobile hairdresser visiting every week, as well as welcoming lounges. And the bedrooms are all beautifully decorated, with ensuite walk-in wet rooms.

The residents enjoy wonderful activities, from pamper sessions and pub lunches to the gardening club. This summer they have loved growing their own produce, with everything from tomatoes and radishes to cucumbers and lettuces, proudly harvesting it for the chef to use in the kitchen. Seeing how popular the gardening has been, the home’s maintenance operative has built more raised planters which can be used by the residents in wheelchairs, ready for this year.

And talking of food, the home’s chef of over 10 years prepares delicious home-cooked meals for the residents. His specialities are his freshly made cakes and pastries, especially chocolate eclairs and scones, which the residents enjoy for afternoon tea.

The team are passionate about keeping those community connections alive. Students from the local high school come in every week to spend time with the residents, and every month the local church run a service in the home.

And there are regular trips to see their fellow residents at Sanctuary Care’s nearby care home, to enjoy activities and friendship.

The ongoing care that my mother receives is second to none. The staff and management are friendly and will always keep me in touch on the phone or when I visit.
I am happy that Mom is always content and there are always plenty of activities to keep her occupied and the occasional trip out.

Comfortable, to be honest she looks healthier than she did prior to her stay physically.
Nothing is ever any bother for the staff , from when you walk in it's always immaculately
clean , all the staff are always very helpful.

We will be forever grateful to all the wonderful people that work so tirelessly here. It is probably the hardest decision I have ever made to seek care for my mum when we could no longer cope but I can honestly say this place is genuinely a sanctuary that picked us up at our lowest ebb and is a safe
haven where mum is happy and is flourishing . From the minute we walked in Sean & all his team were fantastic supporting both mum & myself through the process, making the transition easier to cope with. The accommodation is spotless, food fantastic and there is always something going on to keep the residents busy. First impressions: Clean, all staff very helpful and friendly while visiting my relative, it's nice to observe how the staff react with other residents. Any problems are dealt with immediately, very impressive!
We can leave my mother in law knowing that we have no worries or concerns when we get home.

My aunt is currently a resident, and my mother was here for a short while before she passed away. I think the staff here are wonderful, they treat the residents with dignity and respect. The home is always clean with a welcoming atmosphere. Perhaps the entertainment and activities could be improved
a little. But the overall standard of care is is excellent.

My father has been cared for at Highcroft Hall now for over two years, the facilities are very good and the staff and management are very caring and friendly to deal with. Visiting is really easy and turn up as and when we want with good parking. Dad is very comfortable there and his room and ensuite
bathroom are in mint condition at all times. Communication is great.

I am very happy with the care at Highcroft Sanctuary care. My mother has been there since March 2023. The staff are lovely and caring and always have time to talk in their busy schedule. Management are always approachable and welcoming. I feel happy that my mother is in a safe and caring place.

Dad has been at Highcroft Hall now for over a year and we are so pleased with the genuine care, love and attention he receives every day. It was a very difficult decision for dad to go into care, but we have piece of mind that the team supports dad with his needs. There are plenty of activities, entertainment
and the staff really make a fuss of dad which lifts his wellbeing. We are regularly asked if we want anything added to his care plan and any potential concerns are addressed and actioned. A huge thank you to the manager and all the wonderful staff that all work really hard.

Nan entered the home as a respite care case with the intention of only staying for a few weeks. Nan quickly became comfortable in her ensuite room. One huge difference between Highcroft Hall Residential Care Home and the previous facility none attended is that she has the freedom to choose where she
spends her time. Nan has enjoyed her time here so much that she has decided to stay as a permanent resident.

My mother went into Highcroft Hall Residential Care Home to start with two weeks respite and decided herself she wanted to stay. The care she gets from all the staff is wonderful, they make her feel safe. Would definitely recommend Highcroft Hhall, thanks to all the staff for looking after Mum and putting

Mom desperately needed respite care, so we applied for Highcroft Hall, mom was very reluctant after Respite at a different home, The manager at Highcroft did a home visit and gently won her round. The initial stay was 2 weeks, the first week was hard as she only had a memory of the previous one, slowly
they built up her confidence and we were surprised when she wanted to stay another week, then an extra week, 4 weeks in total, she started to be like our Mom again, not a constant worry for her safety and wellbeing. The fourth week came and she then decided that being on her own again wasn't what she wanted, so she made the decision to become a permanent resident, which for us as a family was a massive relief. She is looking better than she has in a very long time, put a bit of weight on, and the staff are amazing. They are so caring and you can tell from just being in there that they all enjoy what they do, attend when you want, very clean and we are so thankful to this fabulous team.

Mom has been a resident at Highcroft Hall since January this year. Previously she had been in and out of hospital every couple of months even with four care visits a day. Since she has been at Highcroft Hall she has not been ill once. She is much happier and healthier than she had been for the previous
couple of years-testament in itself of the amazing care, support and friendship provided by the wonderful staff and management. Mom feels that it is her home and it is lovely to visit her there.

My mom has been a resident since April 2020 and has always been looked after by the staff well. Unfortunately, her health has deteriorated recently. The home contact me regularly regarding my mom's well being, updates from the GP and any changes in her medication. Mom is happy and always smiling. The
