Overall Experience
My mom had to go into the home recently for permanent residency and I find the home pleasant, excellent facilities, comfortable rooms with en-suite and very friendly staff. The Manager and staff on reception are excellent and deal with any issues I have come across.
The only thing I can see so far that hopefully improves is, I wish my mom would be encouraged more to join in daily activities.

This is a very good, caring home and happy my mom is now settled there.

In 2013 my aunt and uncle became residents of Highcroft Hall. Sadly Aunt died in 2014 and Uncle in 2019. The care given was exemplary and we are thankful that they were both able to end their days in the surroundings, and with carers who they knew.

My late uncle was a resident at Highcroft for over 6 years initially with his wife who died there 4 years ago. My uncle died there in February. After being diagnosed with cancer, it was my uncle's dearest wish that he died in what had become his home and this of his late wife. Despite the challenges as he became frailer and more dependent, the care staff did all they could to provide the care and support he and his family needed and wen 'the extra mile' to enable him to die as he wished.

Reply from Ruth Brown, Senior Marketing Officer at Highcroft Hall Residential Care Home

Thank you for your kind comments regarding the care of your uncle at Highcroft Hall. It is wonderful to hear our caring team went the extra mile during his last days, during what must have been a difficult time for you and your family.

An enormous amount of effort and money has been put into Highcroft Hall recently which makes it a first-class establishment for the elderly and vulnerable. What hasn't changed is the high level of care and dignity shown towards its residents.

I feel that the staff are friendly, made the transition here very welcoming and made to feel at ease. My relative is settled in nicely and likes it here. Staff keep residents motivate and join in activities, there are activities for the physically able and those not so physically able.
It is a pleasure to visit here, all staff and residents are welcoming.

The care home is kept clean and safe and very pleasing and relaxing on the eye.

Highcroft Hall staff have been so supportive of my Mom who passed away peacefully on the 22 June 2017 after being there for 18 months.

Mom was well looked after and the staff were lovely and supportive not only to the residents but with the family too. I would recommend Highcroft to people and so would my siblings.

My mother has been in Highcroft Hall for eighteen months, in that time I have got to know the staff really well and can honestly say are all friendly and more than happy to follow your wants and needs. Family can visit as much as you need, as it can be a stressful time when a family member has to go into a home.

Rooms are pleasant and comfortable with all that's needed, you can add your own things to make it a home from home, there are activities and entertainment to keep residents occupied. We as a family, we are happy with the personal care she receives. We would recommend to anyone looking for a care home.

Since my mother has been at this home she has been treated with loving care and all her needs have been met. She always tells me they do their very best for me and keep an eye on her all the time which makes her feel loved. My mother is now 102, so this makes it a satisfying feeling when we as a family leave her in their care.
