Mum has settled well over the past year. The team are really friendly and have made her feel at home here. One example of this is the food. She loves all the food especialy the tea and cake. The team are great at working with her requirements when she has a request. We also love the visiting hours as
they are really good for us travelling from a distance. A cup of tea is also always offered to us!

Popped in to visit Mam. She was in her room, so I spent fifteen minutes with her. Mam was very stropy, so I played a song she likes and she responded to that. We sang the song together. I was shown to Mum's room, as I wasn't sure how to access it. The domestic came in and spoke with Mam, they seemed
to have a good rapport. So; it was assuring to know, Mam has a social connection there. I have rated based on my experience of working in the care sector.

The Beechwood House staff and management provided a wonderful environment in the run-up to Christmas during December for everyone. The house was thoughtfully and tastefully decorated inside and out with Christmas trees and lights, giving it a bright and festive atmosphere. Extra visitors were made to
feel very welcome despite the staff having to meet existing needs of all residents. There was a lovely Christmas party which close family friends attended and it was clear that a happy time was had by all, with the live music and lovely food. I visited on Christmas Day and was given a wonderful table setting to eat with my family member, and a beautiful meal to share.
All the Beechwood house staff are without exception kind, caring, professional, and friendly, both to residence, families of residence, and wider circles of friends. I have so much admiration for the tireless work that they do so gently and kindly.
Reply from Kalpesh Shah, Director at Beechwood HouseThank you so much for taking the time to share this beautiful and generous feedback. It is incredibly rewarding to hear that the atmosphere at Beechwood House over the Christmas period felt welcoming, festive and enjoyable for residents, families and friends.
The team put a great deal of care into making the home feel special at that time of year, while still ensuring that every resident's needs were met, so your words about the decorations, the party, the music and the Christmas Day meal will mean a great deal to them. It is especially lovely to hear that you felt welcomed and able to share meaningful time with your family member.
Your kind comments about the staff's professionalism, warmth and dedication are deeply appreciated. The work they do is often quiet and behind the scenes, so recognition like this really matters. Thank you again for your trust and support. We are very proud of the team and grateful that you took the time to acknowledge them.

My mother has been a resident at Beechwood House for several years now. The building is always nice and warm and Mum always seems happy whenever I visit. She keeps herself occupied with various activities - reading, colouring and lots of movies to watch! The staff are very attentive and helpful when
I visit. Carole especially is very supportive to my Mum.
The ability to go outside into the back yard is lovely and it would be great to see some investment in that area and maybe the garden as well.
Generally, I am very happy with the care and support that Mum receives at Beechwood House.
Reply from Kalpesh Shah, Director at Beechwood HouseThank you so much for sharing your experience and for your continued trust in Beechwood House over the years. It's really nice to hear that your mum feels happy and settled, and that she enjoys keeping herself occupied with activities she likes - those everyday routines are so important to wellbeing. We really pleased to hear your kind words about the staff, and I will make sure your feedback about Carole is passed on to her. It means a great deal to our team when their care and support are recognised.
Thank you also for your comments about the outdoor space. We agree that access to the garden and fresh air is important, and this is something we are mindful of as we look at future improvements.
We truly appreciate your balanced feedback and are very glad that your mum continues to feel well cared for and supported with us.

The staff at the Beechwood care home are always very welcoming and polite. The atmosphere in the home is very pleasant. The facilities/utilities are hygenic and overall very good.
My mother feels comfortable within the premises. She has also healthily regained the weight she had lost before becoming
a resident here.
I fully trust the team working here to look after my mother.

My grandmother has been very well cared throughout her time at Beechwood House. The staff are polite, friendly, and always happy to take the time to answer any questions I may have.

My mum has been a resident for almost 6 years and I am really happy with the care she receives. She has severe Alzheimer's and they have supported her through being very challenging through her slow decline. My dad also spent his last few months here with her. Staff are attentive and respond to her
needs, if she is ill she gets speedy treatment. They are patient with her and manage her complex needs well.
Staff are really friendly and helpful, and always stop to chat about mum with me.
Record keeping could be improved, especially when it comes to demonstrating that a resident meets the threshold of having a primary care need accurate care notes are so important. The decor/furniture is quite tired but can imagine logistically difficult to do much decorating/upgrading.
Thank you for everything you continue to do for my mum!
Reply from Kalpesh Shah, Director at Barrington Lodge Nursing HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share this and for trusting us with your mum's care over so many years. Supporting her through such a long and challenging journey, and having cared for your dad as well, has meant a great deal to our team. Your words about the patience, attentiveness and kindness of the staff will genuinely mean a lot to them.
We also appreciate you raising the points around record keeping and the environment. You are absolutely right that accurate care notes are vital, particularly for residents with complex needs, and this is an area we are actively working to strengthen. Similarly, we recognise that parts of the home are tired and we are taking steps to refresh and improve the environment in a way that causes minimal disruption to residents.
Thank you again for your thoughtful and balanced feedback, and most of all for your continued support. We are very grateful to be part of your mum's care and will continue to do our very best for her.
