Overall Experience
My husband stayed for 2 weeks respite care. He was shown into a warm, spacious & comfortable room, it was quiet with a nice view from window. He had a T.V and flowers in room. My husband required incontinence pad, which they did not have a supply of; they are not officially a nursing care home. Staff was friendly, kind, caring & supportive. They managed his care needs well. Encouraged him to socialise despite his refusal at first. Overall, my husband had a good experience, when he came home, comments made that he looked relaxed.

They did all the laundry and packed when he was ready for discharge

Thank you for your kind words, it really means a lot to us. We are glad your husband felt comfortable and well looked after during his stay, and it's lovely to hear he came home feeling relaxed. That's exactly what we hope for. I will make sure the team sees your feedback, they will really appreciate it.
Warm regards,

Kalpesh

I can see the efforts made to improve the care for my mother. My sincere thanks and respect to all the staff as their days can be very challenging. I would like to convey a big thank you to Olay for allowing the continuation of having an open dialogue to ensure my mothers' voice to be heard so that her care doesn't decline. The knowledge, experience and understanding Olay has provided has increased my confidence that my mother is still in good hands. I would also like to give thanks to Carol and Remea with upholding the standards of care. Everything has been very good, thank you.

Mum has settled well over the past year. The team are really friendly and have made her feel at home here. One example of this is the food. She loves all the food especialy the tea and cake. The team are great at working with her requirements when she has a request. We also love the visiting hours as they are really good for us travelling from a distance. A cup of tea is also always offered to us!

Popped in to visit Mam. She was in her room, so I spent fifteen minutes with her. Mam was very stropy, so I played a song she likes and she responded to that. We sang the song together. I was shown to Mum's room, as I wasn't sure how to access it. The domestic came in and spoke with Mam, they seemed to have a good rapport. So; it was assuring to know, Mam has a social connection there. I have rated based on my experience of working in the care sector.

The Beechwood House staff and management provided a wonderful environment in the run-up to Christmas during December for everyone. The house was thoughtfully and tastefully decorated inside and out with Christmas trees and lights, giving it a bright and festive atmosphere. Extra visitors were made to feel very welcome despite the staff having to meet existing needs of all residents. There was a lovely Christmas party which close family friends attended and it was clear that a happy time was had by all, with the live music and lovely food. I visited on Christmas Day and was given a wonderful table setting to eat with my family member, and a beautiful meal to share.

All the Beechwood house staff are without exception kind, caring, professional, and friendly, both to residence, families of residence, and wider circles of friends. I have so much admiration for the tireless work that they do so gently and kindly.

My mother has been a resident at Beechwood House for several years now. The building is always nice and warm and Mum always seems happy whenever I visit. She keeps herself occupied with various activities - reading, colouring and lots of movies to watch! The staff are very attentive and helpful when I visit. Carole especially is very supportive to my Mum.
The ability to go outside into the back yard is lovely and it would be great to see some investment in that area and maybe the garden as well.

Generally, I am very happy with the care and support that Mum receives at Beechwood House.

Friendly staff. Happy to keep us informed. Nan is always presentable and well looked after. Residents love the parties. Handover from old owners to new owners went well and they made sure we knew who they were by talking and meeting residents and family.
