If you are looking for a care home with a gym and sauna, where your loved one is treated simply as a client, Robinhood House may not be for you.

What it offers is far more important. The wonderful team treat residents as individuals and as part of a family, always looking for different ways to help those living with dementia enjoy the best life possible.

My mum, Sheila, could become very stressed, so staff would find her favourite songs and sing and dance with her to calm and reassure her. When she struggled to eat or sleep, they tried different foods and would prepare meals at any hour.

Their care extended to our whole family. They supported us during visits and, on the day Mum passed away, they helped me when I felt completely lost and did not know what to do.

Robinhood House is a place of dignity, patience, kindness and genuine care. I will always be grateful for everything they did for Sheila and our family.

My Mother moved into Robin Hood House in December after she was struggling to live independently at home. From the moment I starting visiting care homes to see which one was right for Mum I knew it was going to be Robin Hood House. The care Mum received was just wonderful, she was looked after amazingly and we couldn't of asked for more. My Mums diet was minimal and didn't consist of much, cake, ice-cream and coffee and the staff always made sure there was plenty.
Unfortunately she only had 4 months there before she passed away but moving her there was the best thing and she had a great 4 months surrounded by kind, caring people.

I would highly recommend Robin Hood House to anyone looking for wonderful facilities to look after their loved one in such a difficult time.

Our Dad has been a resident here for nearly 3 years and we couldn't be happier with his care. He is always clean and comfortable and spoken to with respect by the carers. We recommend Benslow to anyone and everyone who asks for our opinions.

Both my parents are residents of benslow care home together in a double room
The room is cosy and warm and the staff are amazing
They are kind and caring and patient
My dad got a bad infection and they got him better with care and hospital at home treatment
They really are amazing staff and the home is run amazing by the manager, who is also lovely and always happy to talk and help you
I'm so happy that my parents (both with dementia and nursing needs) are in such a lovely care home where they are treated so well and with such respect

Highly recommend this care home

Hi our experience with the care home is nothing short of first class couldn't ask for more.

Management and staff are very professional, caring, friendly who have made my wife stay with them as stress free as possible . They have been very supportive of my wife's needs and conditions. I have spoken to my wife about this review and we are both in agreement that the service they offer is first class , wouldn't hesitate to recommend them .

This was a magnificent find. Such a caring home from home. Residents given constant attention and staff attentive and very friendly. My husband had the best care anyone could have a Robin Hood House right through to the end.Staff new him, helped him with his dementia and showed real professionalism.

My father lived at Robin Hood House from June until he sadly passed away in November. The team there were amazing with him throughout. They gently encouraged him to eat and drink, often preparing his favourite foods and even making special chocolate milkshakes to tempt him. He was always kept clean, comfortable, and treated with dignity and genuine care right up to the very end. I couldn't have wished for better support for Dad, and I'm so grateful for the warmth and kindness shown to him and the wider family in such homely surroundings.

I have nothing but praise for Lorraine and her fabulous team of carers. My mum has been here since August 2025 and has been looked after in such a wonderful caring manner. All staff are professional yet very friendly, always happy and welcoming and treat every resident with such respect and care.

Excellent stay. Very well looked after & cared for. Nice to relax & to get well, all staff extremely great & treated me very well, great good & great room & I enjoyed my stay here. Highbury Rise is a lovely building, great garden outside. I believe it has done me really well to be able to rest, concerse & recover, I have never stayed at a rest home before. I would like to thank everyone here for their kindness & wonderful care.

My mother spent a month at Highbury Rise last year and is now back permanently. My sisters and I are very pleased that she's so comfortable, well looked after and happy.
The staff are compassionate, friendly, attentive and professional - they make visitors feel welcome and seem to go out of their way to relate to and reassure residents.

The atmosphere at Highbury Rise is calm, welcoming and inclusive. Residents are encouraged to take part in activities if they like but their wishes are respected if they'd prefer not to. A good place to be.

My father stayed at Highbury Rise for 5 weeks for some respite care after having a fall at home in January.

He received a good level of care and was well looked after.

He is a shy man and decided not to leave his room but he was very comfortable there and having the ensuite room was extremely beneficial for him.

The care home were friendly and welcoming and I would like to thank them for looking after my father so well during his stay there.

My Nan had a 4 week stay in hospital and on the day of her discharge we were informed by her previous care home that they could no longer meet her needs - two weeks before Christmas!!!
My mum and I went to see Benslow Nursing Home as we liked what we saw online and from the second we arrived we were welcomed with literal open arms, warm & compassionate introductions to every member of staff we passed, and the most wonderful homely, family feeling we could have ever imagined. The staff were so dedicated to their jobs and meeting their residents needs.
It was everything we could have wanted for my Nan, and sadly after just 10 days my grandmother passed away but in the most peaceful warm environment - we are so glad she spent her last days here.
We cannot express our gratitude to the manager and all her staff at Benslow for everything they did for Nan and us as a family in such a short space of time.

Thank you will never be enough.

My uncle came to Robin Hood House the start of 2024 and stayed there for just over a year. He had a wonderful stay at the home with the staff really caring for him.
I would highly recommend this home as it not only has amazing staff but is set in beautiful grounds with a lovely garden to walk round in the summer months.

Mum has been staying at Robin Hood House since November 2024 and has flourished both physically and mentally. Unlike in her previous care home, she is well fed and always happy whenever we see her. We believe that this is down to Robin Hood House being well led in their work and workplace.

My father was only at Robin Hood House for a short time but he was moved there under very short notice and it proved an absolute godsend.
The staff are courteous, professional, sympathetic and kind, above all.
It can't be easy catering to the varying demands of the residents but there is a real warmth that shines through everywhere you look.
