Very caring and always welcoming

From the moment Mum moved in, we have been so impressed with the care and compassion shown by every member of staff.

Everyone is treated with genuine respect, kindness and dignity. There is a welcoming atmosphere, and it really feels as though the residents are treated like this is their home.

Communication with our family is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble, and we are always kept informed, which gives us great reassurance.

Mum herself is thriving, and every member of our family has noticed such a positive change in her since she moved in. She seems happier, more settled and more like herself again.

The environment is bright, welcoming and has lovely views of the outdoors, creating a peaceful place to live.

To know mum is in good hands is priceless.

My Sil has only been here just over a week. I moved her from another care home. Already she seems more animated and mobile. I love that there are lots of activities to do. We love the freedom of being able to use the gardens. Staff are all friendly and the food is excellent.

I have always over the last two years found my friend clean and looked after well. Staff look in on her all the time as at 93 she's happiest in her room.

My mother 81st birthday today. Beautiful cake wonderful singer all in the garden. Thank you so much for you unquestionable love and care that is given for every resident and my mum. Thank you.

Mum came to Millard for six weeks respite in February 2026. She is now a permanent resident. As a family, we cannot thank all members of staff enough. Every single one of them treats not only mum, but us all with the greatest respect. Mum has complex needs, and the care and support she receives is excellent, and she is treated with dignity at all times. She loves attending the day centre and going to the on-site hairdressers. We are kept informed promptly with anything that arises. So across the board with all staff 'Thank You'

I have visited my auntie on two seperate occasions. I can't rate highly enough, the care that she receives. The staff are so kind, caring and professional. My aunties room is lovely and cosy and the lounges well set out. The garden area is beautiful and peaceful. She is very happy there, and gives me peace of mind that she is being very well cared for. Please keep up the excellent work you should all be very proud of yourselves.

Upon my first visit to the Home, I found it clean and tidy very well run the staff interact with the residence very well there seems to be plenty of activities for the residence music quizzes the residence get taken out a lot down to the seafront, overall I found the Home a very lovely environment for the residence

It is wonderful to know my sister is well cared for. She receives care and attention from all staff, whatever their grade. There are lots of activities which relatives can also join in.

My dad has been in Corner House since Dec 2024. He has always been treated with dignity and compassion. The staff are all truly amazing. Always polite, professional, friendly and happy. The activities and visitors to entertain residents are amazing and enjoyable. Every real life eggs to watch chicks hatch over Easter. Thank you to everyone.

Have found the home very welcoming and very caring. I feel happy knowing that my husband is well looked after. I have found the staff very helpful, friendly and caring.

My mother has been resident here for nearly a year now. In that time she has made a new home for herself. Staff are all without exception exemplary. The level of care is dedicated to all levels. Personal needs and requests are considered and delivered. The environment is overall friendly, exceptionally clean. Food is of a very high standard. I believe the corner house is the best home for my mother, she is happy here and I'm happy she is in the best place.

I have been visiting from Australia. It was lovely to see my mum being care for so well. The staff are very caring and compassionate. Food is excellent plenty to tempt mum. There are plenty of activities but sadly I think mum prefers her room. My only negative comment is that mum obviously has accidents toileting and it can make the room very smelly at times. I am a bit sensitive to smells though!!

The residents genuinely enjoy working on art projects. They are often eager to chat, sharing stories and conversation while participating in the activities.

Millar House - our family member came to Millard in spring 2022. She was initially there for respite but the kindness and care she received she decided to stay. Since then the home, all its staff here provided excellent support and caring giving. She has dementia she is understood by all the carers so they manage all her care with great patience and understanding.
